I can't see a way to manually add an image to 'contacts' on my Mac after Mountian Lion upgrade

When I click 'edit' on the image on a conact card I only see 'Defualts, Recent, Camera' as options, whereas you used to be able to choose your own image from the comptuer or from iPhoto 'faces'. I can add an image on my iPhone that syncs to iCloud, but I still can't understand why this feature was taken away. Perhaps you can upload to 'recents' but where is it pulling these recent image from?
Could this be a mising feature as we wait for facebook integration in iOS6?

I recently accidently deleted an old printer, Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX Ink Jet Printer, in Mac OS X 10.5.8 on an old MacBook Pro (2008; 15"). I cannot figure out how to readd it manually without having the physical printer connected through its USB cable. Do I really need to have it connected to do this? I rarely use it and do not have access to it at the moment.

I never had to install one since Mac OS X came with one. I just need to add the printer without the printer connected.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.

5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.

To build on the second option provided by The Edmeister make sure that you have your Sync Key, if this is not the case Firefox Sync will not help you (data is encrypted with that Key).
Finally, if the last sync happened long time ago, it may be the case that your data is not on the servers anymore. Firefox Syn wasn't designed as a back up service.

As far as I know this has never been a feature of iTunes. You always have to identify the CD before ripping. If you selected the wrong CD you can re-identify it for the next time the Cd is inserted but it won't re-label tracks you have already ripped. To re-identify an incorrectly identified CD: "Insert the CD and select it in iTunes, then menu Advanced > Get CD track names. After the first update to Lion, sleep problem is resovled. I am now at 10.8.1 and everything looks fine.

IPod nano 6th generation. repeat is on, and I can't see a way to turn it off.

I have an iPod nano 6th generation. Shake to shuttle is turned on, though I can rarely get it to work. I can't find a repeat setting, but when I select shuffle, it always repeats. I can't find anything in the manual about how to turn repeat on or off. This behavior started a few weeks ago.

I reset all settings, and that seemed to clear it. I had to turn some back on. I still can't find anywhere to turn repeat off or on.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. I kind of doubt Apple has added a solution for that yet, since your Facebook account is not yet synced through iCloud; it is set up independantly on each device.
However I hope you can help me, I cannot figure out how to manually link contacts on my Mac; there is no Add Link button like there is on the phone...

White screen after failed Lion upgrade - how can I recover?

After running the Lion upgrade, I received an error that said Lion could not be installed becuase a recovery disc could not be created. The computer then restarted to a white screen. I've tried resetting PRAM, unpugging, and booting from a Snow Leopard CD, but I can't get past the white screen. All external drives are unplugged. Any ideas?

I can't speak to iPhoto (did you ask about iPhoto?), but:
The version of Quicken 2007 for Lion is 16.1.1, which now offers an update to version 16.1.2 for Mountain Lion (among other fixes).
Presumably the Mountain Lion version is what is being offered on the online download that you acquired. You could check the version number in the Quicken 2007 menu in About Quicken and report back to us anxious iPhoto users.

JSP can't see new row without manual browser reload

I use two JSP files in a JDev 3.1 "application."
In the first JSP, I first use a RowSetBrowser to display the contents of the table EMP. I next use the setFormAction of an EditForm in this first JSP to "jump" to the second JSP file. In the second JSP, I insert a new row into EMP. Still in the second JSP, I then use <jsp:forward page="first.jsp" /> to return to the first page. But, upon returning to the first JSP, the new row cannot be seen in the resulting HTML page until I reload the page manually.
What can I do programmatically to have the first JSP page show the new row the second time the first JSP produces a HTML?

I had an itunes account for my classic and a few months ago wanted to add my daughters ipod to it. it told me when i pluged hers in 2 ipods could not use the same account and asked me if i wanted it to link her ipod and delete the current libary. like a fool i said yes. now i have a party comming up and cant plug my classic in without it saying if i sync it will wipe my 6000 songs and leave me with the new blank itunes that i have just set up.
what i want to do is add my 6000 songs to a new apple id libary/itunes without it wiping all my songs. does anyone know how to do this.

Since all of your music came from your computer in the first place, then it should still be there and should be included in your backup copy of your computer.

This is not true. You have misunderstood.
You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one one library.

How can i see the previews of a folder's images from the Thumbnail View?

I mean, in windows XP if you set the Thumbnail View, inside the icon of the folder you can see the preview of the images inside ( like this http://mowd.idv.tw/LonghornPDC/folder_preview.JPG )...
Is there a way to do it on Mac OS X? Maybe some plug-in, some file manager: anything...i often have to check out thousands of photos to find the reference for an illustration, and it's pretty frustrating having to open up every folder...

You want to go back and try that again... just right click on the folder - you don't have to open it - and choose 'Show In PicturePopPro2'.
Check out the icons on the menu bar - you can get a contact sheet view, move from shot to shot using the arrow keys... it'll do what you want.
