I can't see any of my bookmarks or sub menus now. How do I get them back?

When I click on View, Edit File Tools and Bookmark I see the depression of the outline but nothing is there.

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
#Use <u>one</u> of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
#* '''Firefox 29 and above:''' Click the Bookmarks button [[Image:Bookmarks-29]] and select ''Show All Bookmarks''.
#* '''Previous Firefox versions:''' Click the [[Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar|Firefox button]] and click on ''Bookmarks''. (If you don't have a Firefox button, click the Bookmarks button [[Image:Bookmarks button win 2]] or ''Bookmarks'' menu item and select ''Show All Bookmarks''.)
# At the top of the Library window, click on ''Import and Backup'' and select ''Restore''.
# Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
# In the new window that appears, click OK.
# Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.

I've tried importing and restoring from bookmarks.html. The closest I get is having the XBOX folder in the dropdown, then the list of saved XBOX b-marks with nothing in them to actually go to.
I looked at the places.sqlite file the other day and it said 0kb, now it has @11,000. Must be from recent activity.
Anyway someone can control my pc and try to resolve this? If not, I guess these bookmarks weren't that important so oh well.
I'm just afraid to try to organize the rest....

You restored your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch?
If so, photos/videos that were in your iPhone's Camera Roll should have been imported by your computer before doing this. You could then transfer these photos/videos back to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.

After the most recent update 9.0.1 all the website symbols for the site in my bookmarks have dissapeared... how do I get them back?

After an update of Firefox, I lost all my tabs (not bookmarks). I searched all the help info and found nothing that said how to replace tabs only bookmarks. Please help, this is most frustrating!

If those tabs aren't in History > Recently Closed Tabs or Windows then they are probably lost.
You can try to search them in the History if you haven't bookmarked them.
Using the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" setting is a more reliable way to restore session data.
* Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

What happened to my shortcut icons for eBay, Facebook, Bookmarks, e-mail, etc. and how do I get them back?

I think the above question states it all. There used to be shortcut icons for these things and now they are not there.

Did the same thing to me with my upgrade from Firefox 7 to Firefox 8! Just the placeholder default Firefox bookmark icon though. The custom ones from various websites are still there.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension:

The Inspector Icon does not have a "tab", it is just a shortcut button.
Menu > View > Show Inspector
command option i does the same thing showing and hiding the Inspector.
Because the Inspector/s are movable windows, if you can't see them they maybe somewhere off your screen or half tucked away partially out of sight.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
