I can't see IPhotovideo in IMovie library. Agnes

I can't see IPhotovideo in IMovie library. How to do?

Saludos.

  • Can't See Apps in Itunes Library

This has to be an easy fix, but I can't figure it out.
My computer crashed over the weekend. Everything is rebuilt, but I can't see my iphone apps in the itunes. I looked in the directory and they're all there, but they just won't display in the library.
I've tried reinstalling itunes without luck. Hope someone has a Plan B...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Try re-creating the iTunes library as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
If the issue persists after re-creating the iTunes library, you may have to download the apps again. iTunes will let you download the apps again at no additional charge.

  • Third party app can only see but not use library after current update

An application that has been using the iTunes library to play music from play lists can no longer read and use the library but can only see the library. This is happening since running the iTunes update to 12. I have corrected the problem by reloading maverick and loading music into iTunes after a fresh install. The app works again with a fresh mavericks install. So, now what is the order of operations to backdate to an earlier version of iTunes? My library can no longer be read by the mavericks install as it has been updated by iTunes 12.
I am using an external drive FYI.
I was thinking I would use the mavericks install and create a new library on the external and move the music folder to the same directory and then add the whole directory. Then one by one import the play lists.
I don't know what to do about the artwork directory? Do I move it and replace the same folder in the new mavericks library directory? Will the above process complicate the assignments?
If apple reads this... The version update that did away with coverflow was the beginning of iTunes decline. It wasn't broke. It was close enough to perfect as a library management tool. You should make the next version closer to that one.

I had a similar problem when trying to install Zinio.air. I have made it all work out. What i did was remove Adobe Air 15 entirely from the Utiliites and Library/ accounts and preferences. I then downloaded Adobe Air 13 and installed and then clicked on Zinio .air and it all installed ok. I also had to temporarily change security settings from Apple approved to Anywhere. All functioning now.

  • I can not see my husbands Itunes library after he has shared his library

My husband has shared his Itunes Library, but I can not see it on my computer. Any suggestions?

So what sync settings do you currently have enabled from under the iPod's Summary and Music tabs?  Any error messages when you try to sync?
To be sure, reset sync warnings. To do this, right->click the iPod under Devices and choose Reset Warnings. Then resync your iPod.

  • Can't See My iPod's Library/Contents

When I connect my iPod, I can only see the summary info, but I'm unable to see the actual music stored on the iPod. I can see music in my libray which is stored on my computer, but I cannot see the music on the iPod itself, which means I can no longer take remove songs/tv shows I no longer want on my iPod. Please help.

No buddy, you are not stupid, I was about to format my iPod cuz I thought this was a glitch. Let's say in this particular issue I wouldn't call iTunes particularly user friendly.
Cheers and thanks for asking, you saved me from formatting

  • Can i delete movies from imovie library??

where is this done?  seems simple but i can't find it....

Sorry - missed Tom's post before posting this, but here goes anyway
To delete an Event, right-click (or Control-click) on the name of the Event in the Events Library. From the pop-up menu select "Move Event to Trash". Otherwise, click on the Event and from the menu select File>Move Event to Trash. But, be aware that doing this will cause any associated Projects to lose their links to the Event clips. Projects don't contain video, but simply reference the clips in the Events (as well as containing information about transitions, titles, music and so forth).
To delete the Event permanently from your hard disk and free up space, click the Desktop outside of the iMovie window to see the Finder menus at the top of your computer screen, and then choose Finder > Empty Trash.
To delete a Project, the procedure is the same. In Project Library view (where you see all your Projects listed), right-click on the Project name and select "Move Project to Trash" - or File>Move Project to Trash. In Finder empty the Trash after doing this.
If you are looking to delete part of an Event, either whole clips or portions of clips, you have to mark them as rejected first. If you need information on the full procedure, please come back. Otherwise, check out iMovie Help and search on the topic "Delete unwanted video clips from an Event".
NOTE: All this can be found in iMovie Help (accessible from iMovie's menu).

  • Can't see any photos in library

When I open up iPhoto it appears that I have no photos in my library. However if I look at my iPhoto library file, the file size is 180GB. What do I need to do so that iPhots can see and view the photos?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

  • How can I see in the itunes library what music has been added to my ipod touch?

I have got a large library of music in itunes and have added some albums to my new ipod touch.
I want to put some more music on the touch, but I don't know what I have added so far. Is their some easy way of seeing or finding out?
    Thanks

Why not use AAC instead of Apple lossless?
I can't accept the loss of quality. It's something of an affliction, I know , but I'd be aware that the quality was less than maximum. Besides I frequently plug it into one of my very nice stereo systems, where I'd be more likely to notice.
But no idea about a web page listing your library.
This script -> Make A Text List, will "write an alphabetical list of your choice of the Albums, Artists, Composers, Genres, or Song Names in iTunes to a text file."
Whether it's a text file or HTML, can I search it or at least view if when I'm in music store? That I think is the real challenge here.

  • Can't see photos in iMovie 11

I've been working on video/photo slideshow on my iMac (leopard, iMovie 11) for the last couple of weeks.  Minor problems but overall going smoothly.  Today I'm working on my brand new MacBook Air (lion, iMovie 11) practicing some iMovie techniques.  I've been dragging photos into iMovie from iPhoto.  After dragging I cannot see the photos in the viewer/full screen.  All is see is a black screen.   Please help.

I know how iMovie works. I've used it before without any issues. It seems like ever since I upgraded to snow leopard and iLife '11 iMovie never shows files imported. I don't know what the issue is and I can't find any solutions anywhere. Sometimes I will see the imported file in my Movies>iMovie Events>Event Folder but the file does not display at all in the iMovie app itself so I cannot edit.....
I'm thinking about either downgrading to Leopard or iLife '09 to see if either one fixes my problem.

  • Hi I can't see audiobooks on my library options? can anyone help please?

Hi I copied my library to a hard disc and pointed iTunes to it via preferences and the audio books option doesn't now seem to exist in library. The audio books are still there, i can see the file if i go in though finder.
    Can anyone help please?

    Hello Paul and Claire,
You want to drag that folder on top of iTunes to import it in. It will go through the import process again and should sort that out for you. I know the article below is for iTunes 11 but it is the same for the latest version of iTunes.

  • Still can't see iPhoto in iMov Media Browser after deleting "&'s" and prefs

Combed the discussions - many references to this problem - I tried deleting ALL question mark symbols "?" from ALL my iPhotos - an arduous task but I know I got them all - then deleted the preferences and rebuilt iPhoto with command option - everything in it... Still no luck viewing my iPhoto libraries in iMovie - so can't increase duration times because "show photo settings" grays out - does ANYbody have a fix?
    thanks!
    iMac G4 superdrive   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   iBook G4

I saw your post earlier when I was having the same difficulty. A recent post suggested rebuilding the iPhoto Library using Shift Option when opening the application. I tried that and it created a new iPhoto Library_2 folder. That folder showed up in the Media Browser, so I just imported all the photos in my previous iPhoto folder into the new one. It worked for me; I hope it works for you.

  • Front Row can't see photos in iPhoto library

I have been experiencing intermittent problems with Front Row and its ability to find my iPhoto library. I have even tried changing/adding libraries, but it doesn't want to work! I keep on getting "You don't have any photos in your iphoto library" when I select "Photos" from my Front Row interface.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a fix?

This is a hint from "iphoto library manager" which helped me. If you run this program you will see if there is a problem in your albumdata.xml file...
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/7158
In my case the keywords caused the problem. i opened iPhoto, deleted the keywords and ran iPhoto again. then front row worked again...
i hope this helps you as well...
    Advanced Troubleshooting
If you want to try to find the item in your library that is causing the problem, follow these steps as a general guide:
The error message displayed in iPhoto Library Manager, after saying "The album data file for this library is malformed", should then read "XML parser error:", followed by a more specific error that specifies a line number. Take note of that line number
Select the library in question, click the Reveal In Finder button to show the library folder, then double click the folder to look at the library's contents. The AlbumData.xml file should be inside.
Open the AlbumData.xml using a text editor that has a function that will allow you to jump to a particular line number in a file. Microsoft Word provides this function, as does the free text editor TextWrangler.
Once the file is open, jump to the line that is specified in the iPhoto Library Manager error message.
You have now found the point in the file where the data is malformed. From here, the exact steps to actually fix the problem can differ, depending on what part of the file the error is in.
If you see a line reading "<key>List of Keywords</key>" not too far up from your position in the file, then the problem is with one of your keywords. Open your library in iPhoto, open the preferences window, and go to the keyword list. Double click on the offending keyword to rename it, and just re-type the name of the keyword to get rid of any invisible characters that might be in the keyword's name.
If the problem is located in a record for a particular photos (you should see lines for properties such as "MediaType", "Caption", "Comment", etc.), then you can either go to that photo in your library and try to edit the photo's information, or you can just remove that photo from your library altogether and re-add it later. Finding the photo can sometimes be tricky, especially if the bad data prevent's the photo's title or filename from being written out to the file.

  • Can't open iMovie library

I'm trying to open my iMovie library in FCPx. However, the option to open it with FCP is greyed out, so it's impossible to open it.
I noticed my iMovie library icon looks somehow different than the purple icon with the square dots.
    Anyone? :-)

    Thank you for your help.
Unfortunately this is the way I've been working for a while already, and I'm looking for a way to ditch iMovie
Once you send an iMovie library to FCP X it will create a FCP X library called "iMovie library", and you can work from there. This is separate from your iMovie library. Just open your Movies folder and you will see something like the following picture - notice the file with the four start icon, which is an FCP X library, whereas the one with a piece of film is an iMovie library. Yes, they may both appear be called "iMovie library", but they are quite different.
Bottom line: there is no need to go back to iMovie at all. You can even remove the original iMovie library and iMovie itself from your drive if you want to.
