I can't see iTunes even though it's open

I know it's open - the icon on the dock shows it, and the function that shows everything that's open shows the iTunes open window. But when I click on it, it doesn't come forward. I've tried rebooting, all the dropdowns for View, zoom, minimize...I don't know what else to do. There are no error messages. I also tried accessing it by plugging in my iPod. HELP!

fruhulda forgot a way to reinstall iWork (no s):
download the free trial version, apply the updater 9.0.5 then run one of the apps and enter the registration code.
If your original installation was made thru this channel, with a bit of luck after opening the odd app, you may open the "About Pages" window which will display your registration code.
If you can't get it this way, open the file :
Macintosh HD:Library:Preferences:com.apple.iWork09.plist
in TextEdit. You will get :
The cyan rectangle hide the owner name,
the yellow one hide the registration code.

Thanks. I don't know why it wouldn't just go back there when I tried putting it back? I didn't change anything, so I assumed the new "default" was over on the left. Glad it was a simple solution after all.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. How did you go about transferring your library onto the iMac? There are specific instructions one must follow to do this correctly without causing loss of data. Simply signing in via your Apple ID won't do much of anything unless you are an iTunes Match subscriber.
Did you just copy the entire iTunes folder over? If so, Quit iTunes then hold down option and click the iTunes icon in the Dock. Don't release option until the popup appears asking if you want to create a new library. Simply navigate to the library in the folder you copied over.
If you didn't go about transferring your library in that way, and you still have the MacBook Pro, follow these instructions to transfer your library properly to avoid data loss.

Not all my songs are showing in itunes even though they are in the itunes Media Dir. I have spent hours trying to find out why so I moved the songs out of the Music/itunes/itunes media and uninstalled itunes. I then restarted my pc and re-installed itunes. When I opened itunes the same songs are still there (but cannot be played as cannot find location) even though I have not put anything back in the itunes media dir. To me there seems to be a refreshing problem as itunes is not looking at the directory even through the advanced preferences area is mapped to the correct area.

Apple's official advice on duplicates is here: Find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership, or that sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library and that deleting one and recycling the file will break the other.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when you launch iPhoto to open your library?
what fixes have you tried before coming here?
where is you library located?
how long has this been occuring?
did you apple any updates or upgrades just prior?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
What do you see when you click on a thumbnail?

Try rebooting the ipad by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot.

How do I access the cloud and moreover, why are my pictures not on my Itunes, even though they're backed up on the cloud?

In trying to sync my Iphone 4, I noticed that none of my pictures are not my Itunes, even though they've been backed up on the Cloud. My Itunes also states that I'm over my space by .4 GB although my phone says i still have 2.7 GB of space left. I'd like to delete my pics off my phone, but not until I know they're backed up properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

photos taken on your iphone and show up in photostream on your ios device can be automatically downloaded to your computer.
if you have a mac, the photos in photostream automatically download into your iphoto application

if you have a pc, the photos in photostream can automatically be downloaded into a folder called "photostream" in your photos folder on windows.

you no longer are required to ever hook up your ios device to your computer to extract photos again (you will have to if you want to get videos off of your iphone). Simply connect your computer to the internet at least once a month, and all photostream photos will download into the proper place (outlined in the above links).
