I have tried to download software from this site for my Zen Sleek. I lost the CD-ROM. But every bit of software i use wont install?!?! I dont get it. This shouldn't be so difficult. Can I see what software a serial number is for ?

I get an error when entering the serial number and I thought maybe I have chosen the wrong software to install (CS Design Standard, maybe I should try download other variants) ?
I do not know what software package the license is for so can you tell by the numbers what to install ?

VLC is a good choice. While I don't know if it will play your files, Perian is a helper app for Quicktime which allows you to play a lot of things in the Quicktime Player.
There is also Flip4Mac which allows you to play windows media files in Quicktime.
Finally, note that the extension on a video file doesn't really tell you what you need to play it. The .avi, .mpg, etc. is only the wrapper around the actual video. The video is encoded by some means and needs to be decoded. The video inside the .avi can be encoded in one of many different schemes.
VLC, Perian, Flip4Mac, and many others, are all able to decode various flavors of encoding. Having all of those in your toolbox will help to allow you to play most of the things you'll find.

If all you want to do is burn a file to a DVD, all you need is Finder's burn.

Can't watch a mpg movie!

I got a movie that was origanilly recorded on a HDV format (m2t file extension) that was converted into a MPG file with a PC application (Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus). I could not watch this MPG movie on my Mac because Quicktime does not support this format. I then bought the Quicktime MPEG2 add-on that, according to Apple's home page, would enable Quicktime to play a MPG movie. I still cannot watch it and all I see is the movie control tab without any movie playing above it. Does anyone have any good idea what is going on?

Even with the mpeg2 component there are some forms of mpeg2 that QT cannot play. Try the freeware, as it can handle some of those formats: Mpeg StreamClip

You may want to try resetting Winsock as a temporary fix.
1. To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
2. Enter the following command:
netsh winsock reset
3. Restart the computer and test the issue.
Note: If the issue returns, third-party software may be reinserting the LSP.

Can't open / see any movie

it is still anoying. I hope someone can help me out.
I can't see any movie I upload to my IPad. If I try to view a video I always get an Error form IPad "Cannot Open" Some Infos:
Ipad first Generation
Yesterday I did a whole "Restore"
Now my IOS Version is 5.0.1
No jailbreak or something else
iTunes on Windows Version 10.5.33 (Latest)
No matter what I do, I can't play my videos. Tried several Programs and or Settings:
- Sorenson Squeeze 8 with Ipad Settings
"IPad 720p" -> Codec Sorenson H.264, Audio "Coding Technologies aac"
"IPad Native Res 1024x768" with Sorenson H.264 and also "Main Concept H.264"
- Quicktime Export as H.264, 3500kBit/s Audio AAC 44.100 kHz, Bitrate 128 kBit/s
- After Effects export
- Native iPad Settings from "Handbrake"
Also I see only a grey TV in my list and no preview image from the videos.
However, Youtube Vidis are fine (in YouTube App) and I can also download and SEE Podcasts.
Yes, I did a lot of Resets, Power On/Off etc.
Any help out there?

After hours with try and error no solutions.
I changed now from windows with iTunes over to my Mac and surprise: It works. All videos are now playable (the same which wasn't before)
=> Windows Vista, 64Bit, Itunes 10.5.3.3 did not work
=> Same mp4 over Mac to Ipad did work.
No idea, what's going on, or is wrong on the PC.

HT203167 Can not see purchased movies in my re-download list when I set up a new laptop. Any advice on getting them back?

normal laptop was stolen along with the normal backup hard drive that was hidden away in a seperate room, Got a new laptop and using my itunes id, tried to re-download some of the tunes to get going again, but none of the movies are on the list to be downloaded.
What do I need to do to get this available again?

Re-downloading of movies are available at this time only in the US, and even in the US not all movie studios have granted permission. If you don't see your movies available in the Purchased list, then they cannot be re-downloaded. Without a backup, you may have to purchase your movies again, but you can contact the iTunes Store, explain that your backup was also stolen, and ask if there's anything they can do for you. Go here:

You need camera raw 8.4 for your camera, if it’s Digital Rebel T5 EOS 1200D EOS Kiss X70. It is not compatible with PSE11; so it’s a bit odd if that software was bundled with the camera except that it will work with jpegs. I suggest you download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will editable in PSE11(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)
