I can't see my drop down submenu on my menu bar...

I've created a spry menu bar and for some reason my sub menus are not dropping down when i hover over them when i test it on my server. They did at one point, so what could i have changed to make them disappear? I cant figure it out. can any one help?

It is very hard for us to see what has gone wrong without being privy to the code.
Usually the problem is a non-functioning JS, but it could also be that you have introduced an FLV file with the wrong parameters.
Come to think of it, it could be a number of things.

Your Macs are probably too "old". Apple is pushing AirPlay and unless you have a newer (2011+) Mac, you'll never get the Displays menu bar icon back in its previous form. It is possible to get the icon to appear on your menu bar, however, your only option will be to "Open Display Preferences". You won't be able to detect displays, adjust brightness or change resolutions from the menu bar...

Ever since I loaded the firefox 3.6.8 update, I can't see the AdBlock Plus icon on my menu bar - which means I can't make exceptions for pages I don't want AdBlock to block.

I've never had any trouble with this add-on before. Only afgter updating Firefox to version 3.6.8 has this happened. Anybody know what's going on here??

Go to Tools > Add-ons > Extensions, click AdBlock Plus, clip Options, in the ABP Preferences window, click Options, place a check mark next to "Show in toolbar" and/or "Show in Status Bar", click OK in the ABP Preferences window.
The icon will show in the Status Bar. To get the icon on the toolbar, click View > Toolbars > Customize, locate the ABP icon in the Customize Toolbar window, drag it to the position you want it on the toolbar, click Done in the Customize Toolbar window.

Yes you are right. You have to set it to 100% to see the menu words. Makes all the print kind of small though..quirky program.

Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% or 116% otherwise 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider/settings.

How can I remove apps from my itunes library in version 11.0.0.163? The checkbox is no longer there in the new version and I do not see a drop down menu.

In the new iTunes version 11.0.0.163 I tried to delete a free app but it still shows after I deleted it from all my Apple devices. The checkbox in the previous version of iTunes does not seem to be present in the new version and I do not see a drop down menu. And there are no Help menu choices either. I guess, I will otherwise wait for the new update to iTunes as of 12.10.2012.

With iTunes 11 on PCs the drop-down menus are hidden by default - control-B should get the menus to show

How can I locate the drop down menu to select thumbnails for viewing my photos?

I am using Microsoft Windows Vista. I select Files> Get photos and Videos> From Files and Folders. I select my photos and In my views I have a choice of different size icons, list, details and tiles. The icons are a flower image. When I select an image to view it only appears as an extra large icon on the middle right side of the moniter. I would like to view the thumbnail of the photo bfore I bring to my organizer. The drop down menu doesn't have a choice for thumbnail.

Perhaps I need to supply more details. I am using PSE9. I haven't any problem importing the images into the Organizer as I just select the Icons and select "Get Media" or "Open" and they transfer over to the Organizer. I would like to see the image as a thumbnail not an icon when when making the selection. If I right click them, the Icon, and select open they will open in "Windows Live Photo Gallery".
The icons are now listed on the left side of the monitor about the right middle it states "Select A File To Preview". When I select a file (icon) a large file (icon) appears in that area and it should be a thumbnail of the image. Somehow I can't locate the drop down menu taht permits me to make that selection. I think it has something to do with my files being able to open in Windows Live Photo Gallery when right clicking and select Open. Is the drop down menu only available in Windows 7?

The "Use custom settings for history" setting allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting that setting doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.<br />
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.<br />
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".<br />

You can use any of the ring controls to generate a drop down list. The ring controls are found on the Controls >> Ring & Enum palette. You program the drop down items the same way with any of these controls. Type the first drop down item on the control. Right click on the control and select "add item after". The controls text field will blank out and you can enter your second item. Repeat for every item on the list you need to generate. After you are done entering items, click on the control with the application tool and you will see a drop down menu of all the items you entered.

Can't Scroll Inside Drop Down Menus

I just got a new HP laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit), installed Firefox 11 (now updated to 12), and discovered that when using the track pad (Synaptics Touch Pad v8.1. Driver provided by Synaptics, version 15.3.29.0 dated 10/13/2011), I can not scroll inside drop down menus.

Click the drop down for the category to search. Use the track pad to scroll the list. Mine closes the list and returns focus to the browser instead of scrolling the list. It then scrolls the browser window instead. This works fine in IE. Things I have tried:
Safe mode
Unchecking smooth scrolling
Unchecking autoscrolling
Unchecking hardware acceleration
And just about any of the various combinations of the above things. I also tried restarting Firefox each time I made a change. Nothing seems to solve this issue.
Oddly enough, if there is a text window inside the page (like the on I am writing this in), I can scroll that just fine. Once I move my mouse out of the box, it scrolls the main page just fine. I don't think it's a matter of the focus following the mouse, it has something to do with scrolling drop down boxes specifically it seems.
Also, I should note that all the pages I have problems with work fine in IE the way they SHOULD work in Firefox.

It's Synaptics Touch Pad v8.1. It is using a driver provided by Synaptics, version 15.3.29.0 dated 10/13/2011, and is supposedly the most current version. I have tried getting newer off the HP website, letting Windows search for the most current version, and looking at the Synaptics site, but I still end up with the same version.
I have double checked the scrolling regions to make sure I am within them as well as all the other settings regarding the touch pad. In fact, I had to enable the scrolling regions because they were disabled by default and instead used two finger scrolling. For what it's worth, two finger scrolling gives me the same result - it does not scroll the drop down menu.
As I said, it works just fine in IE and all other programs, so I'm not sure I understand how the drivers for the touchpad could be the issue. It seems to me it's more likely that Firefox is not interpreting the "signal" from the touchpad correctly, yet IE does. Then again, I've been wrong before...

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":
* Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks
Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
