I can't see my iPhone on my Powerbook Pro, tried restart solution offered twice, still can't see it. Any ideas?

Is it a Powerbook or a Macbook Pro?
A Powerbook is not capable of running a version of iTunes that will work with an iPhone 5 (which I'm assuming you have, since it's the only iPhone that runs iOS 6.1.4, which you indicate you have).

Itunes/Iphone/Ipod device driver issues - tried everything. Still not working.

After hours and hours of research, I'm completely stuck. Here's the basic problem.
When I plug in my Iphone to my laptop, windows pulls up a little window that says installing device driver software. After several minutes, the process fails and a message comes up that says windows found drivers for my device, but encountered an error and wasn't able to install them. In the device manager, the iphone is listed as an "other device" with a yellow triangle/exclamation point. Itunes never recognizes the device.
When I plug in my ipod nano 4th generation, the exact same thing happens, except it's listed in the device manager as an ipod. (same yellow triangle though.)
Up until today, both of these devices have been working properly, syncing without trouble. The iphone synced wirelessly and the ipod every time I plugged it in. I can't figure out what on earth happened to my laptop today that messed things up.
It's also worth noting that I have another older ipod nano... second generation, I think, that plugs in and is recognized immediately, works perfectly.
Here is what I've done so far:
1. I worked through every single troubleshooting guide that Apple has to offer. No change.
2. I did a complete clean install of itunes and all additional components, rebooted and reinstalled. No change.
3. I uninstalled/re-installed usb controllers in the device manager. No change.
4. reset both the phone and the ipod. No change.
5. I've tried various cables. No change.
6. I've run system checks and repair utilities for windows vista.
7. I've used selective start up to see if another program is interfering. I've stood on my head and counted to one hundred. I've only said seventeen swear words.
At this point I've done so much searching and troubleshooting, I can't imagine how anything is going to fix this issue. So this is my last hope. Please oh please be smart enough to tell me what to do...

Not sure if this is significant, but in a weird turn of events, when I tried plugging the ipod in this morning, the little message that pops up to install device driver software actually told me the drivers were installed successfully. However, in the device manager, it still says the drivers are NOT installed properly, the little yellow triangle is still there and the ipod still isn't registering in itunes, or my computer. So. Not really any improvement, but a different symptom none the less?
I'm desperate, guys. Someone help?

I am not familiar with the Mini bluetooth system, but in most cars there is a possibility to enter it to see what it was paired to. In that menu delete all earlier devices that it was paired to. Set the bluetooth in the iPhone to off, then to on again, and then let iPhone and car search again: probably they will find each other again and then type the pairing codes.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.

Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
Rebooting phone/laptop/router
Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
Re-installing iTunes
Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.

I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

Not sure about yahoo, but for gmail, I done the following:
Set up using Exchange on iPhone, it'll keep prompting for password. On PC use captcha option, log in to gmail account from PC after completingg captcha option, enter password on iPhone.
See how that goes for gmail, let us know.
Hopefully someone will have fix for yahoo.

iTunes automatically syncs voice memos to your iTunes library when you connect iPhone to your computer. Voice memos are synced to the Voice Memos playlist. iTunes creates the playlist if it doesn’t exist. When you sync voice memos to iTunes, they remain in the Voice Memos application until you delete them. If you delete a voice memo on iPhone, it isn’t deleted from the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. However, if you delete a voice memo from iTunes, it is deleted from iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes.
You can sync the iTunes Voice Memos playlist to the iPod application on iPhone using the Music pane in iTunes.
To Sync the Voice Memos playlist to iPhone:
1. Connect iPhone to your computer.
2. In iTunes, select iPhone in the sidebar.
3. Select the Music tab.
4. Select the “Include voice memos” checkbox and click Apply.

But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. its a long story but what happened was a few months ago in June of 2014 I found out my macbook pro had a virus. I have had my mac for almost a year before June so I had synced my iPhone which was running 7.0.6 and still is since I haven't updated my iPhone to iOS 8. So the only way to get rid of the virus I had to erase my entire mac. I basically returned it to factory settings. I lost all my data. Lucky I saved some of my data on an external hard drive. Now fast forward to today Nov 27 and I had downloaded music from iTunes on the same iPhone and i wanted to sync my music on iTunes and my mac is running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and it says that my iPhone 5s is synced with another computer but in reality its the same computer its just I restarted my mac to factory settings. I've tried going online to see if there's a way to bypass it and trick my iPhone into thinking its syncing the with the same iTunes cause thats the reason it won't sync with two computers but my problem is I'm using the same mac and i can't find a way to fix my problem. PLEASE HELP ME.

Can you be a little more specific? Do you mean you have set the sync options on the Device pages, Clicked Sync and it does not work, or you can't find the sync pages.

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.

You should only make purchases for all your devices using a single Apple ID. There is no need, and indeed a good reason not to, set up a new Apple ID with each new device purchase. While items purchased under different IDs can be played on a single device, you cannot merge Apple IDs and it makes it cumbersome.
Apple IDs do not expire but may become dormant and require reactivation if they are not actively used.
You should make note of your Apple ID and passwords and keep a record of it. Like a bank account it contains access to items with value. Update your Apple ID email address as they change.

Can't pair iPhone 5s with Macbook Pro via Bluetooth

I have an iPhone 5s and Macbook Pro with retina display (running on iOS 8.0.2 and Yosemite respectively). For some reason, my iPhone can never see my MBPr but the MBPr can see the iPhone. Pressing the "Pair" button on in the Bluetooth setting panel in OS X will trigger the pairing confirmation to show up on my iPhone. After confirming the pair request, the devices remain connected for no more than 2 seconds. Then they just disconnect. (The status is "Not connected" underneath my iPhone on the Devices list in OS X)
This has been bugging me for a while, even before I upgraded to iOS 8 and Yosemite. I was hoping the upgrade will solve the issue but apparently not. My iPad on the other hand has no problem in connecting and remaining connected to my MBPr. That's just baffling.
Just some context: the reason why I wanted to connect my MBPr and my iPhone via Bluetooth is because I want to use my my iPhone as the hotspot. Yes, I can use the USB cable, but can't blame me for trying the wireless route (And no, connecting via wifi doesn't work)

A restore loses nothing.
A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.
