I can't see my shapes in Pages.

Hi all, first post so be gentle ! I'm using Pages for the first time hoping to get away from the hateful MS Word but I've run into my first problem. I have added shapes to the page but cannot see them. If I get ready to print then I can see them on the preview window and if I get lucky and click on one of them then the handles appear but otherwise I'm just staring at a blank page. Help !!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply but that's not it. The shape has a border in black and fill in green and it's the only thing on the page.
It's strange that it appears on the print preview page but I can't see it on the page. Very frustrated as I'm trying to work on something when I have to arrange a number of shapes and it is impossible to do.........grrrrr.
OK, it's stranger than that. I added a shadow and that showed up and then changed the shape fill colour to a deep crimson and the shape shows up as a light blue ??
Then I put a photo on the page and it's all washed out colours as well.....but the opacity is at 100% which I had thought might be the problem. So it's as if Pages isn't displaying colours properly (but again does so perfectly when I go to print and it shows in the preview window)

I can't connect two shapes in Pages for IPAD, why?

I was writing a document in Pages for IPAD and i try to make an organichart, but i can't connect two shapes (two squares) with the "connecting line", i try many times in different ways, but never work. So i decide to try to connect two shape in Keynote for IPAD and in work perfectly.
What i'm doing wrong in Pages for IPAD?

Can't see Acrobat Background behind Pages PDF?

I am trying to apply a background in Acrobat 6 to a pdf printed from Pages 2.0.1 and I can't see it. If I apply the same thing as a watermark, it works fine.
If I export to Word and print to PDF from there, I can add the background just as I want.
It appears that Pages exports a solid white backgound that hides the Acrobat background. The background I want to apply is my letterhead. I never know when I start a document if I will print it on real printed paper letterhead or if I will need to send it via email. So I want to be able to use a single template file with a transparent back so I can apply my letterhead to it. By the way, my letterhead contains a "watermark" image in the middle of the page, so putting it on as a watermark in Acrobat does not work for me
Does anyone know how to print a PDF from Pages (either via Print to PDF or via Distiller) that I can then apply my letterhead to in Acrobat?

All seems the long way round, to me. Doubtless there'll be other users who can help you navigate cross-app complexities. I just use Pages, and don't.
But have you tried to make a background of your letterhead and watermark in Pages? Set up a text box to hold them, leave just enough margin to manipulate the text box, leaving the marginless printing option in the print dialogue to bleed it out later. Make the object "fixed on page" and deselect "object causes wrap" in the object inspector, then send it back - or even to the back from the "arrange" menu. Make it a master object if you want it on every page, and layer whatever else you want over it. If you just want to send an overlaying text, then select that and paste it into whatever application you want to send it from. Do the background in Pages first, that is to say, and then make your PDF or whatever you need from that.
Type "watermarks" (for example) in the online help search for details.
Of course there could well be something about Acrobat that I don't know, that could prevent your importing its product into Pages to use in this way. I'll have to leave that for others to solve if it's a problem. But please be aware that Pages does have comprehensive layering and "alpha object" transparency control in its own right via the object inspector: it doesn't need Acrobat to support that. The question is, can you get at the source of your Acrobat material, and can you get that into Pages? If you can, you can manipulate it.
Should my suggestion prove constructive, its gist is to consider Pages as a source of overlayed layout, not simply as a vehicle for other versions of it.

You could do am OS search for all viewable filetype in your webstie - html, php, asp, shtml, etc. That assumes that your local folder is clean of any unused files. You could do the same on the host if you have root access. There may be fewer unnecessary files there.
In DW you could do a search for all pages containing something common to all viewable pages, like DOCTYPE declarations. All such pages might not be accessible to a user but they might be to a bot. another complication.

Creating PDFs using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and can only see the first 10 pages in PDF even when the page numbers on bottom state 10 of 13 (or any number greater than 10).

PDFs create great, unless they should be over 10 pages and then it appears the data was converted to PDF by viewing the page numbers at the bottom of the PDF but you can only view the first 10 pages in the pdf file.

Could you please let me know what exact dot version of Acrobat 9 and OS you are using.
Have you tried repairing Acrobat from the Help menu?
Acrobat 9 is an older version and incompatible with new OS versions, so I would suggest you to try using Acrobat XI (latest version) and check for the same.

Can't see bottom line in Pages document.

When I go back into the middle of a document and start typing, eventually, when the line I am typing scrolls to the next, at the bottom, I cannot see the line I am working on. It is very annoying. It doesn't happen when I start a new document. When I have typed enough that the document has to scroll down, I can see fine. But while working inside, editing and adding text, the "helpful" bar on the bottom of the screen hides half of the text I am typing.

I can't see the content of pages, just those with video on them

I have instaled the latest version of mozilla firefox version 33.stub from the official website.
When I open the browser i can see only the top bar(blue collored where I can see the name of the page I access), then downward is a transparent 3 cm zone and after that everything is black.
If i go and click where my bookmarks suposed to be, it apears like the page is loading because i see it's name on the blue bar and if the website has a video part, that one works perfectly but the rest of the page is black.
What do I have to do to make it work? Maybe it's just some aditional software that I have to Install.
I have a Samsung NP300E5Z-S01RO Laptop with 4 Gb RAM and Intel core i3 proccesor.
I now use the version 11.0 to send you this troubleshooting information

I can't see epub in two pages, the option control 2 is turn off

If I click on the option control+1, I can see the epub in one page; but, if I want to see it again in two pages, I can't! The option control+2 is on grey (like it was turn off). Can anybody help me? Thanks!

Can't see part of my pages in Dreamweaver

I have just downloaded and installed DW8 Evaluation version
however I have an immediate problem in that the pages of my
existing web site which is fully operational do not show most of
the text content when opened up in DW. They show fine in Frontpage.
I have tried all the possible views with no success. If I switch to
code view the code is there. Have spent several hours trying to
solve this with no luck. I am a bit of a newbie and the site is one
that I did not write but have just taken over from the person who
did because of their illness. The site seems a simple enough on
with a simple structure.
This does make it rather dificult to evaluate DW.
Any help would be appreciated,

No matter what website I am on all of a sudden the page will be covered in black and white lines and I can't see any of the page. What is happening and how do I fix it? It has only started since I loaded Firefox 4 this week.

I am very frustrated because I keep having my pages become covered completely in black and white lines. It has even happened on this page when I tried to use the drop down arrow by 'this happened'. I can sometimes read the page if I click over the area I want to read but this is not common. This has only been happening since I downloaded Firefox 4. I thought this would be a better version but now I am not so sure.

I do not want to download another virus program.. I do not believe it is a virus. I am running the full version of Norton 360 and it is doing a daily scan. I have Windows 7, 64 bit OS.

Opening iTunes from Windows XP desktop - can only see part of the page

I have installed and uninstalled the latest iTunes on my Toshiba laptop with Windows XP with a webshots wallpaper. Only part of the page comes up. Can anyone help me with why only part of the page comes up. I'm very frustrated.
