I Can't see some videos in firefox.

It says some necessary quicktime components are missing when I go to veiw videos in Firefox. Its really annoying, and I cant figure it out!

Check where you have the QT (and other) plugins located --- are they in the Internet Plugins folder in the Librbary folder at the root level of the hard drive or at your named User account? I used to see that error frequently until moving all plugins to the root level Library/Internet Plugins folder and leaving the folder under my user account empty.

My name is Alex, I have been working on getting flash to play
for about 3 weeks.
I have uninstalled both shockwave and flash many many times
using all different sites. I have turned off my firewall,
anti spy, and antivirus when downloading. I have shut
everything down that was running. I have closed everything.
I have restarted each time between downloads. I have then
downloaded the install from many many sites. Closed everything, and
installed.
I have uninstalled from ADD/Remove. I have reinstalled. Now,
when I go to ADD/Remove programs it shows that both Flash and
Shockwave are there.
Seriously, I have downloaded and uninstalled and installed so
many times from so many sites.
Each time the screen shows I have done it successfully. But I
cannot get it to play. I have turned off all popup blockers that I
know of.
I still run my anti virus, firewall spyware etc. But says
there is nothing to prevent Flash from playing some of the pages I
use to see.
I have done a Reg clean. And I have installed after all that
and still does not work.
I am the admin on the computer and I am the only one who runs
it. I use firefox for my browser but I tried to get it in IE and
still nothing.
Everything was going absolutely fine till I done the stupid
mistake of updating my Flash player,
seen then my computer is going banana, I don't understand why
is that,
I can actually see U tube videos, but I can not see other
videos like trailers from IMDB, <Your browser is blocking
display of our video player. If you would like to see the video,
please turn off any ad-blocking or Flash-blocking software that you
are using>.
That's what he said on the screen where the video suppose to
play, I can only see advertising, It should be the other way
around,
and even the news on yahoo I can not see them, only ads.
I had no problems before, no pop up I could see the videos
absolutely fine and especially no ADS and then that days,
I wish I could cancel that day, I'm try to fix this problems
all ready 3 weeks and nothing, I did try everything but nothing.
I have download flash Player 9.0.47.0 manage to install but
found impossible to install Activex 9.0.47.0 seems to be impossible
I do know why. disinstall everything reinstall but nothing,

The answer is: uninstall_flash_player.exe is not recognised

Can only see some videos that are on camera's SD card

I would like to be able to directly import videos from my camera's SD card into iPhoto, but when I put the card in my Mac, only some of the videos show up. If I look in Finder, I can see all the clips, open them in Quicktime, export them to the computer's drive, and then import them into iPhoto (all one at a time), but obviously that is a pain. I apparently can't use the import function in iPhoto to manually import the files from the SD card, because when I try it tells me the fileare in an unreadable format. (The camera records video in AVCHD format, and stores the data in a folder structure that shows up as a package in Finder. iPhoto doesn't let me open the package to go through the folders from its Import browser window, so I can only try to open the top folder, which iPhoto apparently can't parse.)
Any ideas welcome.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this. The linked support article addresses the issue directly (thank you both), but the method recommended there (importing the entire AVCHD folder structure) didn't solve the problem. The small number of videos that iPhoto could not see originally also did not get imported, though the ones that it could originally see, did. Luckily since the percentage seems to be small (~10%), it is not prohibitive to open them one by one in Quicktime, re-export them, and then import them into iPhoto. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future. Thank you all for your suggestions.

Can't see some video files after update

After my AppleTV updated recently, I cannot access about half of my video files from my iTunes movie library (streaming from my desktop). They used to be accessible on the previous version before the update, and they played on my AppleTV just fine. Now, when I go to "Movies," they don't even show up, though some of the video files do.
How can I get these files to even show up on the latest software version of AppleTV?

Do you have the "show only the synched items" box checked? It's on the summary page when you have Apple TV selected under devices in iTunes. I had this problem and it took me a while to see it...now if my Apple TV would just stay connected to iTunes......or if someone could help me downgrade to 2.0 I'd be golden.

Can't see MySpace videos in Firefox

I've made sure I have the Flash player for Firefox, but still
none of the MySpaceTV videos will come up. I always end up having
to copy the video code address and paste it in IE and watch it
there. Irritating. Anything I'm not doing? I've fiddled with the
JavaScript settings in Firefox also and no luck.

When I try to look at one in IE it comes up fine, but in
Firefox it very briefly says something to the effect of 'outdated
Flash player' or 'javascript settings' then it disappears. No video
window comes up at all. I end up having to copy the code of the
site address, pasting it on an IE window, then it will come up.
There's no space where I can right-click between the title of the
video and the other stuff that appears below the window (the addy
codes, booyah/no way, %, etc). I've even copied the code to inlay a
video window onto a MySpace site, and it doesn't come up that way
either (just like the MySpaceTV site, any text above and below
where the video should play comes up but nothing in-between, like
the video wasn't even there). I've had no trouble with other
websites playing video or flash animation in either Firefox or IE.
I can get YouTube windows with both just fine. I've checked the
Adobe animation test in both browsers and the animation comes up
fine. I have Win XP Pack 2.

I can see utube videos but firefox will not deliver sound, IE does.

Hello, I will like to know how can I see some videos in youtube most of all requires flash player and I can't install it in my phone help !!

What is your service provider and do you have an unlimited data plan?
Other than that, I'd check your browser settings. Make sure your Browser push is on and set to allow or auto (in advanced options from the options menu on your home screen), and check your browser options while in the browser (click the menu button, scroll down to options, select Browser Configuration, and make sure you have Support JavaScript checked and make sure you have Support Embedded Media checked.
If that doesn't help, I'd wait for a reply from another user here or contact your service provider's BB support.

If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

I see that message when the Flash plugin is disabled.<br />
If the Flash plugin is enabled or set to click-to-play then a Flash player plays the video.<br />
Otherwise a video tag is created with a link to an m3u8 stream that Firefox apparently doesn't support.
You can try to disable all other plugins that deal with media files (start with VLC) to see if that helps.

Can't see some of the .MOV videos I took (on my Mac).

When I import every photo and video from my iPhone through Image Capture, I can't see some of the videos I took with my iPhone. I have the iPhone 4. However, I can see them on my iPhone—precisely not on my Mac. They are .MOV video, and nor QuickTime nor VLC can't read them.
What should I do?

I'm not near my Mac right now but when I try to open the videos with QuickTime, it says that it doesn't recognise the format—it gives me an error notification. I will try to convert it but I don't think it is going to work since the video seems to be flawed.

Well, I don't know what the problem actually is in the first place, it should work as is, I think something is messed up with the present driver and replacing it would perhaps get around that problem.
It seems like I'd be adding one more layer of complexity to the Vista machine...
Not sure how the Vista machine is involved in this, since these are drivers for the Mac.
Though to involve the Vista Machine, One option not mentioned yet is MacDrive for you PCs... allows them to Read/Write HFS+...

Try loading the same video in different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer are your best options). If the issue is across all of them, make sure you've downloaded the latest version of Flash at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
If it's still stopping after that...Do the tried and tested method for everything: reset your router.
