I can't see the other person when I video chat! and its reallly annoying!!!

I can hear them, and they can see/hear me. It kinda stalker haha. So basically I tried to change the bandwith limit to 500 kbps, and under quicktime preferences changed the streaming to 1.5 mbps. AND THE SAME THING KEEPS HAPPENING. This has been going on for like a month, I called an apple guy and hes a moron. Can anyone fix this?? I used to be able to 3-way vchat and see everyone and no i can't do anythingggggg. PLEASE HELP ME?!?! Thank you so much,

If Backdate it to version 1.1.2

MacBook Air does not run iOS. It runs OS X (pronounced as in OS - ten). You can check which version you have by clicking the Apple logo in the upper left of the menu bar, then "About This Mac". i was wondering if it is possible, this person i believe uses a Android or Iphone, for the camera to be turned off for video chat? I can never see the other person but they can see me - and i can see myself during the video chat. My video which they see i also see takes up the whole screen. This issue also is the same for when i use Windows and video chat with this person.

You have to enable it in SKYPE. Open up Sykpe click on tools then select options . When that windows opens select video settings. Then you well see select webcam click on White box select your web cam choices. Windos 7 HP computers it is called HP web camra filter. I just close out the filter stuff if I am not using it during chat session. Some HP computers call it cybrlink web cam. If your web cam isn't listed yet the web cam still works in other applications your Skype software might be corrupted. Your speaker is working with all other Apps and Audio Calls? If yes, it doesn't appear to be Hardware. Don't know what is causing it, but if it is software related then you can try an iPhone Reset by holding the Sleep Button and the Home Button down together for a bout 15 to 20 seconds until you see the white Apple logo ...then just let go of the two buttons and wait until the iPhone comes back up to your lock-screen. Try another FaceTime Call. If it still doesn't work you might have to update Software to iOS 7.1.1 if you are not already on it. If it still doesn't work, you might do a true iPhone Restore to a clean New In Box type configuration without Restoring from Backup. Don't worry in that after you test this configuration you can then Restore from your last good Backup. I would be thinking at that point that some Application you have on your iPhone was conflicting with the FaceTime App.

when using the phone function i can barely hear the other person on the line.. the speker volume is at the max.

remove the thin plastic cover, its not the protective kind its a shipping one. It is covering you ear piece.

the other person can hear you fine, but you can't hear them?
the simplest thing is the volume rocker on the side, while you are on a call make sure your volume is adjusted all the way up.. after that make sure you don't have the plastic covering the speaker
after those try a soft reset by holding the home button and the sleep/wake button until you see the apple logo, if that doesn't work try a restore from itunes.. if you are still having the problem after that it is time to call apple 1-800-myiphone

Can't hear the other person when I am talking

WHen I am using Skype or FaceTime on my iPad, I can only hear the other party speak if I am silent on my end. I have to keep asking them to repeat because I can see their mouth moving but I can't hear them. In other words, the sound only works one way at a time. Is this normal, or is there a settings change that make so that sound works both ways at the same time? Is it a hardware or a software limitation?

I've got that problem too sometimes. I think it's a mistake in iOS and it will be fixed in another iOS-update

TS4268 I can't hear the other person when using FaceTime

I Am able to connect to them but all I hear is a crackling static sound. My iPad is unmuted and the volume is turned up, I am pretty sure it's not my Internet connection because I have never had a laggy connection. Any help would be appreciated.

The other person could have dust in their Mic hole. Use a vacuum to remove the dust.

Try:

Help! We set up family share a few weeks ago, and it was working fine with the organizer and two additional members. No, I am a media professional who uses his MacBook Pro to connect to external monitors, and needs to continue to do so. I don't want Apple TV. I want my laptop to work again, like it's supposed to. Like it used to.
