switched to windows 7 and the web pages display kinda small.IE8 doesn't do this and neither does Google Chrome,but Firefox does and I would prefer to stay with Firefox.Is there an add-on that will allow me to make necessary adjustments and set them as default?

Damaged screen can't see very well

I am not sure what happened to my mac book screen but one day it was fine and the next day i open it up and it looks like a hole was in the screen but it was just black pixels i guess. Anyways it has progressed to the point where its all over the place and its hard to see. I was hoping my warrenty would cover it but im not sure if it was cracked or if this is just a malfunction.

I need my url bar back. The customized search bar is 6x larger. I don't need this in addition to a Google page for searches. I need to see what I am trying to access. How do I enlarge the url window and shrink or delete the other window?

I can't see what I am typing in the URL bar. Maybe 5 characters are visible an a time. The Translator Bar Covers over half of the open window.

Mozilla hasn't changed anything like that in Firefox 3.6.x versions, which is getting security patches but not any further development of new or existing features. Plus, Mozilla doesn't install anything related to Yahoo, something else probably installed that.

There was a feature similar to what you are describing, that was in and out of the Firefox 4.0 betas last fall, but the 3.6 versions never had anything remotely like what your description has me visualizing.

If you have a LCD screen then you should only use the native resolution of that screen.
Increase the String pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx in 0.1 steps from 1.0 to 2.0 on the about:config page (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI) to change the size in the entire Firefox browser window.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)
If the content on websites needs to be adjusted after changing the pref then you can look at NoSquint or Default FullZoom Level.

I cannot print a web page like I could with earlier Firefox versions. Nor can i email a link to a web page. nor can I load google toollbar. i am very disappointed with firefox for not supportring these features.

Have you tried deleting and then redownloading the book via the Purchased tab at the bottom of the store in the iBooks app ? If it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

Message window, "This program cannot display the web page", and there's no close button to delete it. The only way I can get rid of it is to re-start my computer. Any ideas?

Hard restart.. While the phone is powered in, hold the power and home button. Hold them down and keep them held down. the phone will eventually shut itself off and reopen. keep held down till you see the appl elogo, then release. This will not delete anything off your phone, it will just force all apps to stop their current process. If you just turn the phone on and off, it will just pick up where it left off. Good luck

Error message to close firefox appears upon app launch and indicates that a copy of firefox is already open. How do I find the open copy and close it permanently?

When I go into my daughter's account and try to launch Firefox (she was previously using Safari) an error message pops up indicating to "Close Firefox: A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." Except that I don't see an open copy of the app, unless it somehow is launched at login, a setting I don't see either. Firefox works fine on other user accounts.

Couple of things I spotted right off ... diagnostics still don't show me as an administrator but I told it run as administrator. How do I print a web page and make it look "right"?

When I try to print a web page, the printout (and preview) does not match the on-screen web page look. Does anyone know why that is? For example, the fonts change to Times New Roman, links appear underlined, the format changes, and some images disappear altogether. I am using a Dell laser 1720, but the issue occurred also on an (albeit old) Dell Inspiron laptop. (I believe this was not a problem using a newer Dell desktop, though...) So my question is two-fold:
1. Why is this happening?
and
2. Where are the settings to change it?
