I can't seem to find the bar with "file, edit, view, etc". I can view it if I press "alt", but when I hit any other key it disappears again. The back and forward arrow, house, refresh and "url" space is missing

Did you try to connect in recovery mode and restore without using the latest backup?

If setting up as new device does not work, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store.
Did you try to remove the ipsw firmware file and restore, to make iTunes download a new copy from Apple?

In the Elements 7 Organizer where is the bar with "File Get Files andVideos etc?

I'm a newbie and following instructions in "Classroom In A Book" that tells me: In the Organizer, choose File>Get Photos etc. but there is no bar with "file" on it in my Organizer! Photoshop Elements 7.

Sometimes the top menu gets hidden in the organizer because of your dpi
settings for the operating system. If you look closely at the top
of the organizer you should see a small arrow (very hard to see) and
clicking on the arrow should get you the menus. Also the keyboard
shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+G should bring up the Get Files from Folders
dialog and Ctrl+G should bring up the Get Files from Camera dialog.

when clicking firefox icon to open the internet, all that appears are the options along the top of the page. the rest of the screen does not appear revealing the desktop picture. The firefox page with the search bar does not appear.

downloaded the new version of firefox and the new drop down menu bar that has file,edit,view and history, stuff like that is still there. i have what looks like a broken photo or missing picture square

Hi and thanks for your help. I tried what you said, and I found out that if I Dis-able the Firefox add-on 'AVG safe search 10.0.0.1423", the problem goes away. However, if I Enable that add-on, the problem returns.
I think I want to keep that particular add-on, but am not happy with the fact I will then need to click on that arrow I spoke of in order to get to any website (rather than just hitting 'enter" after entering the URL. Any other advice?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden. 
You can hide the Menu bar via View > Toolbars, also accessible via Firefox > Options. 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
You can place the Tab Bar on top.

I can no longer get Twitter to work with FireFox. I use 3.6.21. It loads first thing but when I try to refresh to get new tweets it just spins and won't load. If I try a new tab it won't load at all.

I guess the question explains it all. Twitter will not reload all the tab does is spin. It's been spinning since noon ET today with no luck. New tabs don't work either, just says waiting for Twitter. I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

Firefox should still use the same profile with all personal data.
Is other personal data missing?
