I can't seem to install the update os x maverick v10.9.4
After I enter to the App Store in my mac book pro, it says that an update is available which is the v10.9.4. But after i restart my laptop, the update is still appearing in the App Store. I have a Mac Book Pro with the seriel number: W8*******ATP.

So basically it said that I don't have a program to open it? I already had a trial version on my mac, but deleted it..YasmineH your web browser is blocking the installation of the AAM Detect plug-in. Can´t seem to install any update on Snow Leopard. Why?
Hello everyone. First post here.
I tried searching the forum but I couldn´t seem to find someone with the exact same problem as me.
Yesterday I bought Snow Leopard and tried installing it on my 13" Macbook Pro. Everything went fine and it´s running ok, except from the fact that I can´t update it. Software update will ask me to install pack 10.6.2 but I click install and it doesn´t run.
I´ve tried downloading the 10.6.1 from apple.com and installing it but the same thing seems to happen. It doesn´t run. I´ve tried everything, including repairing disk permissions... It won´t install.
Does anyone have a clue of what I should do?

I had the same problem with updating to 10.6.2 from Snow Leopard (brazilian custom language/keyboard). But instead of removing the file, I just changed to english setting, installed the update OK and returned to pt-br setting. Everything fine.

Can not seem to get the update iOs 3 for my 1st generation ipod touch
I can not seem to get my pc to download the iOs 3.1 update for my ipod touch 1st generation. I keep getting the error 8288 message and it says that their is not a server connected. When it is all up and running. Can some one help me achieve updating my kids Ipod touch 1st generation so that they can have game apps on them?
Try uninstalling iTunes 10.5 and installing iTunes 10.4. It has worked for others.

Try downloading the upgrade directly from Apple. Select the appropriate version for your model of iPad. After you have downloaded the update, attach your iPad to your computer, open iTunes and select your iPad in the devices list. Press & hold the Option key on a Mac or the Shift key on a Windows PC and click the Check for Update button. Browse to where you downloaded the update and Choose it. iTunes will handle the rest.

I can't seem to install the 64 bit itunes on a windows 64 bit computer.
I'm using the correct 64 setup.exe, but after it goes through the install process for a while, it begins to "back up" and remove some files, then tells me it ran into errors. Help.

Since moving from MobileMe to iCloud I can't seem to publish the update done on iWeb.
Does anyone know how I could figure out a way to publish my updates on iweb since moving from mobileme (the host) to icloud?

If you are using the delta update, it will only work if you are coming from 10.5.2.

I can't install the update 9.5.2 for Acrobat Pro for Mac.
I am using Mac OS 10.7.4. I currently have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1 on my system. I've been able to download the 9.5.2 upgrade successfully via the "'check for updates" link in the application and from also from the Adobe website.
The installer cannot install the update. The process begins but then I get a message that components have been disabled. The message refers me to Acrobat website for help to reingage components. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any such help through their not so user friendly website.
The alternative suggestion from the message was to uninstall the application, then reinstall it. I tried using the uninstaller that was in my Acrobat Pro folder, but when I opened the uninstaller, I got a message saying the installer was not for this application.
I have an installation disk to reinstall the program and I have no problem manually uninstalling the Acrobat Pro from the system, but I don't know what needs to be removed from where.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
I'm beginning to feel like this upgrade is just a gimmick to encourage people to upgrade to Acrobat Pro X.I was getting the same error: "Insufficient data for image" and the document wouldn't open. But Foxit and Chrome read the files directly, with no problems.
On a Mac, the 9.5.2 upgrade works fine under Acrobat Pro 9!!
Do any of you run Kaspersky antivirus? When I ran the root kit scanner - is doesn't like some of the Adobe System files and will quarantine them – this only happened in July: This is when it quarantined some files that were authored by Adobe. This is when the updates to Adobe seemed to have stopped working properly?
I submitted the “quarantined” files to Kaspersky and they came back and said that the Adobe files allowed “trojan” like backdoor access to my PC - To get adobe working again I allowed them back into my system and took them out of Quarantine. The 9.5.2 update worked fine after this.
I thought it was a fault with Kaspersky 2011 until I updated to 2013 (last week) and the Root Kit scanner completely removed the registration for Adobe Acro 9....No opportunity to deactivate...program wouldn’t run with error messages about the registration of Acrobat Pro 9. I reinstalled the programme; it will run but cannot be upgraded from the DVD rom version
Now I’m struggling to get my Adobe product serial number reactivated. The Indian call centre tell me the retail serial number is invalid and not an Adobe serial at all, then I get told about 30 mins later in the same call the serial number is actually registered to someone else - they're just oxygen thieves...
The botom line was, that unless you bought from Adobe online, and they can track your purchase, you're on your own for support...
Ironically, when I first installed Acrobat 9 Pro back in 2010, the software installed fine, activated and I got a nice Welcome email message from Adobe, free downloads too - not much use though - perhaps this is one of those keep the product sales up schemes...you've had your two years time to buy an upgrade!.
I think these issues are linked up with the extreme piracy control that Adobe have implemented in their products - it's gone too far... -
On my ipod touch, i can't seem to get the imessage app.. I have updated my itunes and even restored the ipod to factory settings with the latest update. Maybe the ipod is too old? Is that even a thing? Is there another app I can download to have access to my contacts with imessage?
That comes with iOS 5 (Settings>General>About>Version) and only the 3G abd later iPods can go to iOS 5 or later

I have iBooks 2.1 on ipad. I changed my password and can no longer update the app. If I delete the app and install the updated version, will I lose the books I have purchased?
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if you can then update the app.
If you do delete the app then you should be able to re-download your ibook purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app. But in case some of them are no longer available in the store and/or you have PDFs or epubs in it, then you could first connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) which should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library so that you have your own copy of them and can sync them back (even though they aren't iTunes purchases it should also copy over any PDFs or epubs that you have in the iBooks app) -

The automatic update came up and I downloaded them. When it came to reboot the computer a message comes up, can't install the updates, make sure all other firefox sited are closed. As there are no other firefox sites on my computer I click OK and the updates try to load ad infinitum. When I try to disinstall the program to download it again , I can't as the program updates won't install so I can't disinstall. What can I do to cancel the updates or re load the program?
Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

Hi, I've just up-dated my OS in my MacPro 3.1 from 10.5 to 10.6.8 and can't seem to install my Logi Pro 8, I can install the libraries but not the program, is it possible to install or do I have to up-grade to Logic 9? Thanks
It's either that Logic 8 is looking for the Rosetta emulation program or that Logic 8 was previously installed on this OS, in which case you will have to remove some preference files and install receipt.
I think the Rosetta emulation is downloadable for SL.
