Can't seem to get Elements 8 to accept RAW files

I have been using Elements 8 for 1-1/2 years and just made the switch to a Canon DSLR camera. I want to generate RAW images and process them with Elements. I just can't seem to get Elements to show a RAW converter. Period. I have uploaded plug-in's and even tried getting the Canon supplied photo editing program to read RAW as well. Zilch. What do I need to do (step by step) to get this method of image manipulation to work. Is Elements 8 a dead horse when it comes to working with a Canon RAW file? I'd rather not invest in a newer Elements program just yet. Help!

The information provided pointed me in the right direction, but the outcome was the same. Apparently, Photoshop Elements 8 needs the 6.4 version in order to be compatible with Canon RAW files. I went back to Adobe, but they were unable to provide me with the link for the file extension (or plug-in) to make things improve. I also installed the DNG converter, but when I tried to move over Canon RAW images, I kept getting "does not recognize file." Huh?

Just installed Premiere Pro but I can't seem to launch it.

I have creative cloud and just installed Premiere Pro. It's showing installed but I can't seem to launch it. The mouse pointer won't turn to a hand over the icon in CC. I have tried to uninstall it and then re-installing it but it's the same problem. There is no shortcut/ icon to open it and when I locate to program file in c: there is only a folder containing two other folders named AMT and Legal. I have searched this forum and seen that many others have the same problem but no one seem to offer any solution. Does anyone have an answer on how to fix it and open Premiere Pro?

It requires minimum 8GB RAM and 64 bit operating system so That's the solution for my problem, buy a new computer. Hope it will help someone else by knowing this

This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

try googling it. Else you can always ask applecare. They will guide you with
same.

I can't open Elements after I download it from the website.

I recently had to replace my hard drive on my iMac. After doing so, I tried to download Photoshop Elements after logging into the Adobe website. I download and when I hit the "open" button, nothing happens. Does anybody have any insight on how to fix this?

Maybe a corrupted download, Try a different ISP or use your disk if you have one, or better, get one form ADOBE.

Can't launch Lightroom after successful download/installation.

After I downloaded and installed Photoshop there appeared a button that read something like "Lauch App" next to the Photoshop icon in the Download Manager. That worked smoothly and Photoshop is up and running. Tried to do the same with Lightroom however after successful download/installation there is no "Launch App" button. There is just text that reads "Up to Date" except it cannot be clicked and therefore does not launch the app. How do I launch Lightroom?

Disregard this, after launching the app with normal means i realized it was a stupid question.

Can we change the cost element after posted some expenditures.

My client ran the depreciation upto jan 2009, afterthat we found the depreciation GL's are not set the cost element.
so the Depreciation values were not posted cost center wise, now we want to change the GL's cost element , is it possible, if it is possible what is the steps.

You can create cost element and interface depreciation posting to CO. For missed Depreciation, manual posting in CO can help to reconcile with FI.

Terminal.app takes up CPU 100% and can't seem to launch

I have OSX10.5.1 installed on my iMac.
I've been using it without any significant problem since upgrade to Leopard.
But all of sudden, the BIG problem.
When I tried to run Terminal.app, the terminal window does not poped up for a long time.
I checked iStat on my dashboard, and the Terminal.app was taking up 100% of CPU.
I could not believe my eyes.
So, I double-checked using top, which I was able to start by using xterm.
It was true. Terminal.app was possessing CPU about 100%.
I did not do anything but my routine stuff.
Anyone has a clue about what is going on my Leopard?
Any small hint will be appreciated.

I have just rebooted the system and now I can launch Terminal.app.
It is anyway resolved.
Shame on Leopard.
Rebooting is just as Windows-ish solution to a problem.

You can open any Adobe application and then "Deactivate" it from the Help Menu option , once yuou deactivate you can re-use the serial number.

I purchased the adobe photoshop/premier elements 10 - upon installation, I ran into numerous errors. So, I went out and "tried" to fix it by downloading the "fix." This too would not let me properly install my new software. I then read online that I could download the "trial" version and then later submit my serial number from the purchased product to convert it over from a trial version to the purchased version. I cannot add my original serial number. Very frustrated, any ideas on how to get this to work?????????????

You should be given the option to Purchase the software when you launch it. If you choose this option you will be given the opportunity to enter your serial number.

Please Help! Can't open Safari, I-Tunes after update download.

This happened after I ran a software update and downloaded the new I-tunes, Quicktime, and the latest security update.
I got an almost full disk message, but the downloads were completed ok. I was told to restart, but a bug hit at that point and I held down the power key to close down.
When I booted up again, all seemed normal, but
now when I click on the Safari and I-tune icons they blink, but then don't open.
Any ideas on what happened and how to link up the finder and these programs again? Is this a case for the famous Pram zap?
(Other, such as I-photo etc. are not affected. On the other hand Mac help, any html safari page, and software update are all inoperative.)

The solution was to use the original
Tiger DVD to re-install the OS. I had let the disk space on the startup disk get too low, and a download corrupted some of the OS.

Why can't java script be recognized after I downloaded it

after opening java script several times other programs can't find it and want to download it again? I can see it and get a sucessful report from Adobe is this a problem with Maverick X ?

When looking through my apple mail I opened through safari Sport Authority web site tried to purchase and it told me that Java was not current. I installed it through safari. I have tried to open it with other web sites that take me to Oracle (Sorry for the confustion) It reports that my install was sucessful. However after a restart each time I try to go to use it I get a message that it is out of date?
After it installs on safari I click on it and opened the icon that asked if I want to install when I clicked on that it brought me to Oracle web site and I followed the steps to install it. Oracle showed a sucessful install and a reboot occured. However each time I try to use other sites they report that my Java is out of date. I have the 12 which I think is the latest.
