I can't seem to log in on my iMessage account.

I've typed my Apple ID and Password correctly and it's saying I have to check my network connection.
I am on the internet, it is working perfectly.
It also crashes too as it logs in.
Is there something wrong with my Mac?

My Specs state that at the time we were using OS X 10.8.2
This introduced the issue of the Messages app verifying the Mac Serial Number as part of the Verisign Auth-Token creation for the app.
For some users with Repaired and Refurbished machines that had the Logic board replaced found that in some cases the Serial Number had not been put back on the new logic board.
3.3 only holds the Saved Status Messages deleting it only removes those Status Messages which only work in Buddy lists and have nothing to do with the iMessage account.
3.4  The Lockfiles can also be ignored. If you use the Finder > View Menu > Show View Options an chose the Size column you will see they have zero bytes.  (list and Coverflow options)
I am not sure why you feel the need to log out and then back in again to the Mac User Account.
Just go to the Preferences and delete the two relevant .plists and restart the app.

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

    My computer is connected to the internet, but I can't seem to log into Adobe Creative Cloud to use InDesign....I've tried all the obvious tricks, restarting my comp/switching the internet off and on etc..... Any other bright ideas?

    I think Adobe has problems with its server since the last 2 days. Everyone is experiencing these problems world wide. Not all the time but several hours a day.

  • Can I attach multiple phone numbers to my iMessage account?

    So here's my predicament:
    Any time I go travelling somewhere, I like to buy a local SIM card so that I don't have to pay fees for roaming data. The problem is that whenever I insert a new SIM card, iMessage switches to using my new (temporary) number and disconnects from my old (permanent) number. So any new messages I send will either send from this foreign number, or from my email; either one is inconvenient because it tends to start new threads for others in group messages and such. And people who try to iMessage my permanent phone number end up having it fail and then send it as a text message (which I will not receive until I get home and switch my SIM card back).
    Is it possible to have multiple phone numbers connected to an iMessage account? (Without resorting to something drastic like buying more iPhones just to have more active numbers.) It seems like something that should be possible, but I can't figure out how to do it.

  • I keep getting a message about my phone number being used for iMessage on a new iPhone. How can I see what devices are using my iMessage account and phone number?

    The message "Your phone number is now being used for imessage on a new iPhone" Keeps appearing on my macbook pro. It also says "If you just activated iMessage on a new iPhone, you can ignore this alert." But the only option is to ignore the alert, because the only thing I can do with it is click "ok" and dismiss it. Is there a way I can look at a list of the devices using my iMessage account, and if there are devices that I don't recognize on that list, how can I block them from using my account?

  • I had started the process of removing my husband as the primary on my ipad2 device before the Holiday and never got back to it.  I keep getting a message on the ipad  for New icloud Terms and Conditions but I can't seem to log on.  when i go to it's locke

    I had contacted apple support before the Holiday and we had started the process of removing/replacing my husband as the primary on my ipad2.  However, I keep getting messages now 'New iCloud Terms and Conditions'  in a window that constantly pops up.  When I go to settings to log into icloud, it is locked with a grey screen.  What can I do?  Also, I had gone throught he process of syncing all 3 of my devices Ipad2, mini and my iphone5 to have the same passwords, etc. for ease of use.  Now that seems to be all wrong as well.  HELP!  I need these devices for my work and I'm short on time to go to the store, but will if I have to.

    If the setting is greyed out perhaps you have restrictions enabled that would prevent someone from changing accounts. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allow Changes>Accounts.

    Force Quit .
    Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time for 3 seconds.  Wait.
    When Force Quit window appears, select the application if not already.
    Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.       Wait.
    Application will quit.

    I just got my iPhone 4s, and when trying to set it up, I log in with my usual apple id and password, and it says, " for security purposes, your login id has to be an e-mail address." When I type in my associated e-mail address, it says, "that e-mail address is already in use. Do I need to create a whole new account for my iPhone?   • Can't seem to log in to Mac App Store.

    It spins for a while, then fails. Error says "Connection failure." Yet I can view apps in the App Store, can get onto web sites (i.e., my internet access is working fine). Been trying to update one app and purchase another for more than an hour now.

    If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
    And turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall
    If none of the above apply, installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) may help.
    Make sure and restart your Mac after installing the combo. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3

  • I can't seem to log into my yahoo email though Firefox, I get an error message saying Bad Request Snytax. I can login just fine with other browsers.

    I have been trying to login to my yahoo email for two days without success. I get the same error msg "Bad Request Syntax." I can login just fine in other browsers. Clearing my cache and reseting Firefox did not help. Unsure what else to do.

    This can be caused by corrupted cookies.
    Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
    If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
    Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

    It might help for you to post your Mac OS version (the "iOS 5.1" shown in your profile is not a computer OS) and the model iMac you have ("About this Mac" from your Apple menu is a good place to start).
    I ask because OPTIARC drives tend to be used in iMacs newer than the pre-2006 models this forum covers. We want to be sure the advice you get is targeted to your model and not one that's over six years old.

  • Can't seem to log into Behance while CC works fine.

    Is there an issue with www.behance.net. I tried a week ago with the same result. Sometimes there is a message that the site is temporarily have issues but most of the time it just cannot find or load the site.

    None of the links provided work. I have tried both at work and home however it does work on my phone through 3G. The Message I get is:
    The connection has timed out
    The server at www.behance.net is taking too long to respond.
    I have tried with disabling windows firewall in case this was an issue. I have pinged www.behance.net<http://www.behance.net> and the request times out (72.52.12.246). Any other ideas?
