I can't seem to send a song from my Iphone to apple tv any more.

On the ipod app in my phone I can see the airplay button and can select the Apple TV. It the timer for the track starts moving like it's playing but nothing happens on the Apple TV. Any suggestions?

I reset my phone and Apple TV with no change, then I hard reset my Apple TV by unplugging it and everything seems to be working now.

The phone number on the iPad is not active for cell voice, only for cellular data. You are not paying anything for voice or SMS (texting services) on your iPad, only for cell data. Texts to non-iOS devices would have to be SMS and use the cell voice system which is not present on your iPad.
There are apps, such as TextFree, which will assign you a virtual phone number and allow you to emulate sending SMS messages from and to your iPad.

How can I remove the forced U2 songs from my iphone without synchronizing?

Hello. I have about 100 songs merely on my iPhone, nowhere else. Apple moved somehow these U2 songs on my iPhone without permission. Now it is like having an undesired cupboard standing in the middle of my living room and I cannot remove it. A synchronizing would also delete my 100 songs. What can I do? Please help!

I have 850 songs on my iphone 4 and it has been backed up to my laptop and to icloud. I now have an iphone 5s but cannot get the music to my iphone 5s. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sign-out from iTunes, iCloud / reboot the iPhone / sign-in again. Not work.

I had this issue with my iPhone - drove me nuts. Tried everything.
It appears to be an issue with a persistent file in the Purchases folder in the iPhone/iPad directory, which I could only access with a file browsing utility (iBrowse). Once installed you can browse to the Purchases folder and delete all the entries.
Check the box in iTunes to Manually Manage Music and then delete the grey U2 tracks.
Sync and they'll be gone
Fixed!

There are several ways you can pull the music off your iPod and onto iTunes. There is a very direct method, which I personally prefer, but there are also numerous third party applications, which will help you accomplish the task as well. It would also be a good idea to remember to make sure to authorize your new computer in iTunes.

you can use home sharing.
or, assuming you have all your media files in the default location, copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes music or media folder) from the old to the exact same location on the new machine.
you can either use your network or an external HD for that.

You can reset the phone and it won't cause any problems or cause you to lose any data - Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears.
The other thing you should do is to reset your network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to set up your Wifi again, but that oftentimes clears things up.

The outgoing mail server is rejecting mail from your network address. Typically that happens when your mail service provider is also your ISP, and you connect to it from another network. The SMTP server will allow connections without a password from anywhere, but it will only relay mail from within the ISP's network. It could also be that your account on the server has expired or been suspended.
If you need to send mail from outside your ISP's network, use an independent mail service provider. I don't have a specific recommendation.

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.

Hi, first, you should prevent the iTunes library auto sync with iPhone: Launch iTunes > click Preferences... > click Devices. In the window, check the option 'Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically'. Next, connect your iPhone with your computer via the USB cable. Click the mini menu for iTunes on the very top left and click the option 'Show menu bar'. After then you can see iTunes File, Edit, View, Control, Store and Help menus on the ribbon. Click File > Devices > Transfer purchases from (your iPhone name). You can also access to the File menu by holding down Alt (Option on Mac), Shift and F keys. This is how to get your iPhone purcahsed song transferred to iTunes Library.

The iphone is not a backup/storage device.
