I can't select my Macintish HD file to install on

I'm trying to Install Logic Studio and it won't let me install on the Macintish HD file, for a while it kept stalling on the destination select bit of the install and saying 'Examining Additional Disk' but the it stopped, i can highlight one of my hard drives but it won't let me install on that cause it says it has to install on a running system, I have plenty of space on my IMac I'm just not sure what's going on.

Your hard drive may be damaged. First, boot into your Recovery partition by holding down the command and R keys whilst booting. Select Disk Utility and then your boot drive and repair permissions first (there will be a number of permissions that will not be repaired - that's OK). Then, highlight your boot drive and click on the Verify button. If you get green text telling you that everything seems to be OK, ten you've no problem with your hard drive. If, however, you get red text telling you that the drive needs repair, click on the Repair button to see if the drive can be repaired. If it can be repaired, the installer should work just fine. If it can't be repaired, then it's time for a new drive.

Bridge cs6 . I can't select more than 1 file even when I use ctrl and select a few files. Bridge will just open them indivudually.It was working properly a week ago.

I cannot open multiple files on Bridge cs6 on my pc. I hold down ctrl. but it just opens them individually. This function was working in the past. caps lock is off, nothing has changed....help.

As I select a file, it will launch its application automatically. Therefore I can not select multiple files or just single files without opening the application.
I did not have this problem before. I started having this problem after I updated my system to OS X Yosemite.
I tried to reset Bridge preferences, installed updates, but nothing worked so far.
Can anybody help?

Can't select appearance target in file

I've got a file with about 15 layers and I can't select the appearance target radio button on any layer.
When I create a brand new file, I can.
Any thoughts?
Edit: Nevermind, the layer has to be turned on before targeting it!

I've been doing so much BW stuff unrelated to BPS that I forgot to change the mode of the cube.

Can't select and print multiple files from Mac OS' Finder

I'm using Acrobat Reader on Mac OSX. I'm used to be able to select multiple files in Finder and then press Apple-P to print all of them in one batch. Reader blocks this, by opening the first of the documents and then display the Print Setup dialogue, instead of just printing the document according to the default settings.
When the dialogue is displayed, the reader is blocked from opening and printing the remaining documents, and just displays an error message that it couldn't open them. That is not a nice behaviour.

It is not possible to open another document while printing another document through Acrobat.
You might want to create an action in Acrobat to print all the pdf's in a particular folder.

How can i download extension updates as files, to install on another computer?

Installed FF on my wife's work computer, in our gradeschool library. The network that she is connected to allows FF to be updated, but blocks extension updates. How can i download extensions as files, to a stick at home, to update her computer? Extensions used are AdBlock+, TabMix+, NoScript, ForecastFox, checkCompatability, and (since FF29) Classic Theme Restorer.
Both machines running Win7; FF28 at home, FF29 in the library.

Reader can only save a filled-in form if the document has been Reader-enabled. You can do this with Acrobat (9) using: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader. In Acrobat 10 it's an option under: File > Save As

Where on my HD can I check which RAW compatibility files are installed?

I know from the Apple Support page which cameras are supported but I have not been updating RAW compatibility files via Software Updates.
Will installing the latest 5.01 Update automatically update to install the whole list of cameras? Or will it only install the few latest cameras listed as 5.01, please?

I see that 2 of the cameras I am about to purchase are already on the Supported by Mavericks list and so I don't need to install the 5.01 Update which lists cameras I don't have or use.
The SSD built-in on my iMac is filling up (OS and Applications only) and so I try not to install software which I don't need, hence my question.
In any event, when I have bought my cameras, shot RAW, and uploaded the images I expect I would be seeing an OS notice if their compatibility wasn't present.

How can I select a range of files to delete? I have ten files I want to delete. Do I have to select each one individually?

If it is in Finder and they are listed one after the other in a continuous fashion, select the first file, hold the shift key and select the last file. Then delete.
If on the Desktop you can choose them by using your mouse pointer to draw a square around them, that will selct all.

When i install those programs with silent install string it will install language i have select at windows regional options. I want thinkvantage software to be installed in english but now its finnish.
So how to set default language EN with silent install?

How can I select in the Library just JPG's or just ARW files?

I always shoot both RAW and JPG's.
Often after a shoot I will choose a few images that I want to work on in RAW and intend to keep in RAW; but some of the rest I'd just like to leave in JPG to take up less space and delete the RAW files (these are usually snapshot type pics that I still want but don't want to use for anything significant except for memories). I can't see a way to easily do this except outside of Lightroom in Windows Explorer but then it messes up the catalogue doesn't it?

In the Library module, in Grid view:
Make sure you have the Filter Bar showing (View > Show Filter Bar, keyboard shortcut "\" )
Click on :Metadata" in the center of the Filter Bar.
In any of the columns, hover over the heading until you see the double arrow, and click that to open a list of things that you can use to filter.
Choose "File Type"
Click any of the file types shown to filter on that type. You can select more than one by Ctrl/Cmd Clicking.
When you're done, click "None" at the top to remove the filter.

As I said - look whether your original file is damaged or not. If not, I wouldn't change it and find out what in your system makes it sound like it's clipping.
Good sound file, with volume maxed out. No need to change anything.
The same song clipped - no chance to repair.

Using bootcamp was installing windows xp, at the select ntfs or fat format selected "leave the current file system intact." How can that be changed to a correct choice. Mac side opens correctly. Windows shows disk error.
