... we might need more info than that! why can't you sign in and what happens? any error message?
if the issue happens when you're trying to reach someone who doesn't have an appleid or is not connected, then it's normal.
also check in settings>general>date & time> and set automaticly ON, that's a problem with facetime and iMessage...

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with iMessage and FaceTime. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
If you have difficulty activating FaceTime or iMessage - Apple Support
If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.
If your Apple ID isn't an email address, you can change it. The Apple ID that you're using to activate FaceTime or iMessage must be an email address. Find more information on how to change your Apple ID.
Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Make sure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. If Set Automatically is on but the wrong time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to a different Wi-Fi network (in a different location) if a cellular data connection is not available.
You can see that you've activated FaceTime and iMessage with your Apple ID by following these steps.

My iphone 5 wont let me sign into imessage and facetime!

I recently bought a iphone 5 from my aunt. I went to AT&T to go activate and switch over phones. (I had a iphone 3gs). I later went home and tried to log into my imessage and facetime, but it wouldnt let me. I keep trying and it says "iMessage Actavation - Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try agian". I have wifi so my internet can not be the problem & and my internet on my phone works great. I can sign into my itunes and icloud witout any problems. I tried turning my phone off and on, restore the iphone and reset the settings. Ive also tried calling my company but said they couldnt help. And I called Apple and told me to the same time ive already tried doing. I dont know what to do anymore. And im hoping someone can help me out! Thank you!

One thing to remeber , this issue occurs because of poor wifi or internet connection. If this isn't fault in your case, try these because it happens in all products of apple like mac,ipad mini,ipod touch..
Check you apple id and sign in again.
Change you DNS to open DNS or Reset you network settings.
Reboot you iphone once.

I can't sign into iMessage or FaceTime since updating to iOS 8.0.2...

I was signed into iMessage and everything was fine before I updated and now I am unable to sign into imessage or FaceTime. Every time I go to sign in and comes up and says "Can not sign in. Check your connection and try again." i have restrated my iPad and I have tried reconnecting... I can use my id for iTunes and other things... Just not iMessage or FaceTime. It's incr frustratin! Any ideas????

Ipad air cant sign in imessage and facetime for ios 8.1.2

Before I make this topic, I read a lot of topics about the same problem as mine and I cant fine any solution. So my problem is: after updating to 8.1.2 for my ipad air, I have to sign in my imessage and facetime again and it says: "Imessage or Facetime activation. An error occurred during activation. Try again."
What I have done is
     _ Set Date&Time automatically,
     _ Set My info to my contact number
     _ Reset network setting
     _ Sign out icloud and sign in again
     _ Sing out apple ID and sign in again
So, is there any way to fix the problem now or we have to wait from the engineers?

Since upgrading to iOS 6, is there anyone who have had problems signing into iMessage and face time? I need some assistance!

I think I've fixed it !!
not sure if this will work for everone but I noticed when you go on settings>messages>Send & Receive it was displaying my Apple ID twice and underneath where is says "You can be reached by iMessage at:" , it was displaying my email address twice as well, so I clicked on my Apple ID and signed out, restarted my ipod and signed back into iMessage in the settings and it just displayed my apple ID and email once. Next I restarted my router and my Ipod Touch 4g IOS 6 and it was working again !!! . Not sure if this will work for everyone but I just ****** around with it and it seems to be working for now anyway

Can't connect to iMessage and FaceTime

I'm using an iPhone 6 64gb.
I recently bought my phone. HHowever I seem to find some difficulty with my iMessage and FaceTime activation.
It keeps saying "waiting for activation" for both the iMessage and FaceTime.
And when I tried signing in using my Apple ID, tthey said that I could not sign in, please check network connection and try again.
I've tried the various tips given by some people, bit doesn't seem to work too.
This include rebooting my phone, switching on and off the airplane mode during iMessage activation.
Please help. I really need the iMessage especially.

I'm unable to sign into iMessages or FaceTime on my iPad2. I'm able to sign into all other Apple Apps except those. Could someone assist me on how to rectify this problem?

If you changed your appleID password, then try this one, which worked for me, after nothing else would. Log out and back in to iTunes on your Mac/PC.
I had exactly the same problems as above, and no amount of network changes or even a full restore would help.
Finally, I went back to my PC, launched iTunes, logged OUT of that, then signed in again, this time with the new password.
Then I had to go back, and properly close Facetime and iMessages and sign in. It worked fine after that.
(To properly close an application, double click the home button, then hold down on the facetime app logo in the multitasking bar at the bottom, then press the tiny symbol.)

Hi, I own an iPhone 4, recently I restored it and now I can't activate iMessage and FaceTime using my phone number.
I read and performed all the steps shown in apple troubleshooting article about activating iMessage and FaceTime and that didn't work either.
Before restoring the iPhone both iMessage and FaceTime were working just fine...
Why is that? What can I do?
