I can't sign in to my Yahoo account in Messages.app., I can't sign in to my Yahoo account in Messages.app.

I've tried trashing the com.apple.ichat.yahoo plist files, trashing the entries in my keychain for Yahoo, and deleting and recreating the Yahoo internet account. Nothing seems to work. Little Snitch says that IMServicePluginAgent is accessing login.lga1.b.yahoo.com. I've tried disabling Little Snitch as well, but I don't think that's the problem, because I installed Little Snitch to diagnose this problem.
This is on a Retina Macbook Pro 15" running Mavericks (OS X 10.9).
I would appreciate any pointers/ideas.

Have you had the Yahoo account working in iChat 6 or Messages 7.x.x ?
I see any-api.login.lga1.b.yahoo.com in my Little Snitch (menu bar drop down)
The Pop up to accept listed api.login.yahoo.com which is what the app lists as the Login server.
There are others as well (Buddy pics and the like)

My Yahoo account is signing without any issues.
You also seem to have done the most common things to sort this.
Close Messages and FaceTime if open
Try opening Activity Monitor in Application/Utilities and find imagent (it will be in lower case and have no icon)
Highlight and then use the Quit option top left then confirm a Force Quit.
You may see the item restart straight away at the top of the list.
Try a Message restart now.

Previously with ATT & Yahoo I had a shortcut to sign me in easily - and give an option to change users or sign out at the top of the screen . This was with Internet Express brouser. Now it is a multi step process. Any way to make it easier to sign in?

A shortcut set up to execute yahoo browser included the e-mail id for me (or anyone else) would bring up our sign in information. One click would sign us on and bring up tabs with my home page and e-mail. Now, even though I have checked keep tabs from last time, only one tab shows up - after I have gone through the process previously described. Can this be handled better? If not, how can I get back to Internet Express browser?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

IPad Mini - "Sign in to Facetime" continually pops up; can't get rid of it or do anything else. I've never signed in to Facetime. Help.

When I open the iPad Mini, immediately a "Sign in to Facetime" message pops up, along with a keyboard. If I 'cancel' it pops back within a second or so. I cannot do anything on the Mini now. Try RIGHT clicking on different areas of the toolbars on Firefox, mainly try right clicking on/around the url bar & forward/back navigation buttons. When you get the correct spot if will give you a menu with the toolbars available (whether or not they're active) and a couple other options. Just uncheck the Yahoo one & you should be all set.
As you say though it may be some other bar disguised as a yahoo bar. Any chance you can get a screen shot of it & post it here?

Are you running any Anti-virus software or do you have your firewall turned on? If so, disable them and try again. If that doesn't work, delete the iCloud account and then sign it back on again.
Make sure you are running the most current version of the iCloud Control Panel:

I've checked your account. I see that you just purchased the subscription this morning. The order is still pending processing, which is why you haven't yet been able to log in an use your subscription. It can take 24-48 hours for a subscription to process fully. Once it does, you'll be able to log in and convert files.

Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

I have the same problem on my iPhone4. It is obviously a bug in the software. Once it pops out I am locked out of my phone. I can't even begin to describe the frustration this causes. All that stuff about holding down the buttons is useless. the phone won't even shut off. I can take a screen shot like that or go to voice control. Even when I got to a wifi connection, I can't get on. This app blocks everything else. This is a serious bug and can have serious consequences. The only thing my phone would do is go to voice control and let me play iTunes or phone people. Some smart phone hey?

Try booting the Recovery Partition. Power off, boot and then hold down the Command and R keys. Is the screen still black? If so it is not a software problem so take it in for diagnosis and repairs. If you are running Mavericks try upgrading to 10.9.2. It has a fix for black screen problems.

My husband and I each have our own email account on Comcast email. We almost always use Firefox to open it. Suddenly, I cannot sign out of my email account on Firefox. I click on sign-out, then click on sign in, but the email automatically goes to my email account. After signing out, and clicking on email, it sometimes says "oh oh, you're not signed in." But when I click on sign in, instead of giving me the sign in box it goes right to my open email account. Just can't get out of it. When I am on IE, I can still sign in and out of both Comcast accounts without a problem.
I use a laptop with Windows 7 or 7XP I believe, not sure which it is. Thanks for your help.

Try to clear the cookies from that Comcast website.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
