I can't sign into Firefox Sync on my Android phone, but I can sign in on the computer. On the mobile device it says that the password/user name is wrong.

I am unable to sign into Firefox Sync on my Samsung Galaxy S4, using the exact same password and user name that I successfully sign in on the desktop computer. On the mobile device, I get a message stating that either the user name or password is incorrect. I want to be able to sync Firefox on the computer with Firefox on the phone, especially for the bookmarks, but I'm unable to do so even following the directions in the How-To video.

I would suggest a) resetting the password on desktop https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information#w_iaove-forgotten-my-sync-password-ae-how-do-i-reset-it_2 and then b) trying again on your Android phone or tablet
If the above doesn't help and since we can't read minds :-) we need more troubleshooting details to help you:
# What version of Android are you using (e.g. Jellybean 4.1-4.3, Kitkat 4.4, Lollipop 5.0, 5.1, etc)?
# What version of Firefox for Android are you using? (please try the latest version which is currently FF37.0.1)
# What did you do exactly, what happened and what did you expect? (details please! including the steps in the video you followed)

Hp Officejet Pro 8500 connected to network, but can't be seen from computer or Apple mobile devices

I set up the printer and was able to print from an Apple iPod. Then I connected the printer directly to one machine via USB to scan a bunch of old picture.
I disconnected the printer USB cable (so it is no longer attached to that computer) and now it is wirelessly connected to my local WiFi. The test page reports that the connection is good and I have an IP address for the printer.
However, the computer and iPod can not see the printer. They are all on the same network SSID but the IP address can not be found from the computer.
I have gone through all the diagnostic suggestions in the HP Troubleshooting utility with no joy.
Did connecting the printer directly via a USB port reset something that I need to reconfig?

When you finally get around to looking at my post, never mind.
I reset the factory defaults on the printer and reauthorized my WiFi network.
Now it is working.

Ld like to go into Firefox Sync to organise, review & confirm what is saved

I have been pleased with Foxmarks & then Xmarks as I could always go in to 'My Xmarks' to log-in then review what was saved, reorganize if I desired & also feel assured what I had was saved. I can not find any way to go into Firefox Sync to see my saved list. I do have the link to click into 'Sync' under my tools tab, but it only gives me the option to change my preferences or re-sync.

How does sync prevent old from overwriting new? E.g. say I have changed a forum password, from my desktop. A week later, I go on a trip and use my laptop. When I start the laptop, how do I know the new (from desktop) forum password isn't over-written by the old one on the laptop?
I've looked hard for some light technical info on the subject - without success. Does it matter which PC (desktop or laptop) is synced to the FF sync server first?

Set up a desktop Firefox sync from an android Firefox sync

I am having trouble setting up Firefox sync on my desktop (which I had to replace) having only an active Firefox sync on my Android tablet. I can't find a way to either insert the usual three four character codes to pair the devices, nor to recover the sync key to enter it manually on the desktop. Googling the problem, I found suggestions from a year ago to use certain plugins (the most recent was about:synckey) to display the key, but unfortunately they are no longer compatible with the newest firefox (I am using v17). So my question is: can this be done? Or shoud I harvest all my bookmarks from the Android device as long as I can and reset the sync account?

However, that guide assumes you have a desktop version of Firefox to insert the codes into and start the pairing to the second device (which can be a desktop Firefox or an Android Firefox), while I need to do the other way around, that is start the pairing from the Android Firefox. I have to click the link several time before it will load and sometimes when they do load it does not show the page right. It is like the HTML is messed up or something. I have tried everything I can think of. I started in safe mode, still did it., I removed add-ons, still did it., I reset Firefox and still did it., I completely uninstalled Firefox and re-installed Firefox and it still does it. I have tried Malware Bytes Anti-Malware scans and Avast boot-time scans and found no malware or viruses. I have found that those websites open the first time with no problems on my IE9 and they used to do so in Firefox 26.0. I'm at my wit's end. The website links are in my bookmarks and are used all the time so they are trusted and my avast is set to allow them. They range from news websites to gun websites and everything I have read says that Mozilla does not filter those unless something has changed recently.

FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try resetting Network Settings
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.

Settings>Store: Tap the AppleID and choose "Sign Out", it will then prompt you to sign in and you can use the new AppleID.
NOTE: Apps must be updated with the AppleID they were purchased under.

Through your Androids Gmail account. Go into system preferences, Mail, Contacts & Calendars, and add your Gmail account info and then link it to your calendar.
You can do the same with a MS Office365 account if that is what you are using for your main email and calendar. And you can link to that on your Android phone also.
If you are using iCloud email I'm pretty sure you can do the same on the phone.
Oh but everything must go through an Online account of one type or another for it to all sync up across all your devices.
