I can't sign into Skype using Facebook anymore?

Just recently, Skype updated without my consent, and now I'm not able to choose to login via Facebook. Logging in using my username, [Removed for privacy], does not work, and neither does signing in using aquaticdesert. I downgraded to 6.3, tried to sign in with Facebook, and got the message "Sorry, we didn;t recognize your sign-in details. Please check your Skype Name and Password, then try again." This is a very huge problem for me, as I created my account using Facebook.I also cannot use account recovery, because the e-mail I had set as my primary e-mail is no longer in use as of not too long ago, due to the account being hacked and not being connected to other e-mails. (And this has happened multiple times before, which is why I avoid using Hotmail/Outlook, because it seems to be disgustingly insecure.)

Even in the latest Skype 7.0 for Windows desktop you can sign in using your Facebook account. The Facebook sign in option is on bottom right of the top level sign in screen. Make sure you click on the "<- Sign in with a different account" link on bottom left if you see the Skype account sign in screen:

Everytime I try to sign into skype, it comes up with the message "You cannot be signed in at this time. Please check your mobile network settings and try again.". This doesn't make any sense to me, as far as I know there is no mobile network settings on the kindle fire HD tablet. I have tried turning to router off and on again and turning off the tablet and resetting the WiFi. I have tried to use the live chat support, but it wouldn't work the tablet. Has anyone had this problem before and can help me sort? I would really appreciate your help.

You need to update the Skype application on your Kindle device to be able to continue using it. If you are using an outdated version you will see the "Cannot connect to Skype" error message on sign in.

Can not sign into Skype.

I was asked to update skype which I did, Sorry I do not know what update it was for windows 7 but after that I can not sign into skype. It is a problem on my laptop not my account because I can sign into my account on my phone. I tried removing skype and reloading I still have the same problem. Any ideas?

I am unable to log into skype on my laptop.each time am told my sign in details not recognised, check my user name or password and try again meanwhile my user name and password is correct because am able to log in on other computers. my friends tried logging in using my laptop and they had same log in problems but are able to log into other computers. All l want is to be able to sit here at my computer in the U.S.A. and chat with my brother in England using video to video which xxx xxxxx is free, but everytime l try to sign on, l get messages from Skype telling me to but a subscription. So why can't l create a new contacts list and just go back to calling my family and friends for free like l used to???

You can try to make use of the “legacylogin” workaround, which should enable login to Skype using the old legacy login window. However, you will not be able to login using Microsoft account (email address). Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes. Open this folder on your computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\ You should see there the Skype application file (Skype.exe). Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select Properties and then the Shortcut tab. Thank you so much for your reply. Just want to let you know I received it and am trying to figure out what my firewall is. I looked at it yesterday and it seemed my option was to remove it and be left without the protection it provides, but I'm not sure. so I will re-check and get back to you...also might need to add the new version of Skype but I've read that some people lose Skype competely when the do that, so I'm confused. First post so please be gentle. Have tried to search for an answer to my problem but had no luck so far. Apologies if this has been asked before...
I have a Skype account first set up (and hardly used since) in 2005. I go to access the account today for the first time in several years to be told that the account is suspended.
I go through all the recovery info (as much as I can remember) and it asks for the email address that I used. I type an email address in (an AOL account) and it says that it has sent a recovery code to that email - only it never arrives. It doesn't appear in the inbox and it doesn't appear in Spam/Trash either - I just never get it.
I try again and again it says that it has been sent - but I don't get it.
Skype help pages are pants - often you can only get help once you have signed in and, being owned by Microsoft, there isn't any telephone support.
How can I access my old Skype account?

I have exactly the same problem as you. When I pressed reply it asked for me to make a community name, which is the best I've been able to do so far.
I haven't seen any responses to your message, so I'm still in the dark about setting this up.
Perhaps I should delete my account and try again?

I have unistalled and reinstalled it ( restarted pc ).

Hello there, I had an account which is blocked with no a clear reason from skype, they told me that it had some suspicious activites and all i did is adding my friends' accounts simultaneously and skype support told me to create another account and there is noway to get the old account back which had about 100 important contacts on it and I lost them all and I can not retrieve them now even I asked the support to just backup my contacts and send them to me and they refused, after this I can not sign into skype from my PC. The next step i did was to create another account to start over from the beginning again, I signed into it from my Android device. I Added some of my friends who were on the old account - just about 5 - 7 friends -without being confirmed the request and this account also got blocked and I can not sign into skype with any other account from my android device. Now there is noway to use skype from my side and I dunno what the wrong i did and how can I solve this problem before I think of another alternative better than skype. Thanks in advance.

Did you purchase Apple Care? If you did, you still have access to Apple Support. If not, go to your Apple Store and let them help you get it set up correctly. I'm sure it's something simple we're missing. Good Luck.
Do remember one thing. iMessage on iPad only works with other iOS devices. This means you can only text to people who:
1. Have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
2. And they have upgraded to iOS 5 or higher

Here is a solution that worked for me, after nothing else would. Log out and back in to iTunes on your Mac/PC.
I had exactly the same problems as above, and no amount of network changes or even a full restore would help.
Finally, I went back to my PC, launched iTunes, logged OUT of that, then signed in again, this time with the new password.
Then I had to go back, and properly close Facetime and iMessages and sign in. It worked fine after that.
(To properly close an application, double click the home button, then hold down on the facetime app logo in the multitasking bar at the bottom, then press the tiny symbol.)

Well this is peachy. Updated BBM now I can't sign into BBID to use it. Can't sign into BBID except on my laptop which is useless.
