I need to install SP 15, but I need to do that in infrastructure mode.

All of a sudden my iTunes stopped working, and I get the following error messages:
1. the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem
and
2. iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126).
Now I've checked the forums and followed the advice of uninstalling all Apple applications, rebooting, and reinstalling iTunes.
This is not working. I've tried installing as Administrator but doesn't make any difference at all.
There must be a way to fix this? I'm not a tech geek but I want to avoid having to take my laptop back to factory settings to sort this out.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

We have rolled out a fix for this issue.
Please log off and log back in to your machine and the issue should be resolved automatically. In case that does not work, please manually run the msi installer posted here (may require reboot).

Same problem as well as the network failure. Apple Care was suggesting a full reinstall and I declined. I thought it worked once but I can't be sure ... it might have been Skype which works perfectly.

Repair your QuickTime.
Control Panel > Programs n Features > highlight QuickTime and click CHANGE then REPAIR.

Couple of things you can try.
Make sure your windows firewall and anivirus are turned off.
Second, think about what apps you may have loaded. In prior posts really long or interrupted back ups were tied to apps that had an unusually large or messed up data content. Like comic book or magazine readers. Somme of those apps just do not work great in the backup world.
If the pad is new, and you do not have a lot of stuff on it, you can skip,the backup step entirely by clicking the little x in the process window in i tunes. Before you start the process, though, make sure up have transferred your purchases to i tunes. ( i tunes, at the top, under the file drop down), and import any pictures into iphoto, or whatever photo library you are using. Then start the process. When it gets to the backup set, click the x, and the pad will go on and sync.
When i had the same problem, deleting the suspected bad app, and a successful sync without backup cured it.

When deal with fragmentation, most of the time we will be directed to read the technical paper (How to stop defragmenting and start living). If i'm not mistaken, this was published in the year of 1996/1998 for Oracle version 7/8.
Time passed and we are now at 11g and i can't help to wonder if the many good advices still hold true? I've seen posting saying forget about segment with > 1024 extents, as it doesn't degrade performance.
I want to stick to that advice, but...its kind of old! Or maybe old is as good as gold.

Realistically, any recent Oracle version is going to use locally managed tablespaces, using either uniform or autoallocated extent sizes. In either case, it is practically impossible to have fragmentation, so there is exceptionally little that a DBA could even do if he wanted to. You don't set extent sizes at the table level any longer, you don't set PCTINCREASE, at most you pick an extent size for each tablespace and pick with tablespace an object is going to reside in.
The principles from that white paper are still very valid. It's just that Oracle has made it exceptionally difficult to deviate from them now.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 Family- 'extracting' for 24 hours and I can't cancel it and start again

I've been trying to download the trial of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 Family for 24 hours now. It downloaded in Adobe Download Assistant fine and the it started 'Extracting'. Its been extracting for 24 hours and the close or pause buttons next to it are not available to press so I can't stop it and try again.
A message half way through did pop up saying 'opening premier pro, verifying...' but then a warning sign came up saying 'the following disk images couldn't be opended. Reason: Invalid Checksum' . Don't know if that has anything to do with it but on Adobe Download Assistant it is still 'Extracting'.
I am working on a year old Macbook Pro with a fast connection to the internet.

When you quit firefox with tabs and windows open it "remembers". When you start Firefox it tries to restore the tabs and windows you had open.
