I can't stop "watch me do" while it is looping -- any suggestions?
Documentation says that "⌘ ." should stop the loop but this only works if I can manage to get Automator active while the loop is running. I am using Automator watch me do to record mouse movements and clicks on Safari.
I set the loop to run 100 times and often I want to stop it early.
Try giving it a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds, see if you can force it to reboot. If you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot.

One of the nice things about owning a Mac is never having to be concerned with drivers, dlls, or virus's. Regarding your question simply let Software Update do the work. In System Preferences - Software Update choose how often you want the computer to check. I have mine set for daily. That way it will automatically check for you and if it finds an update your system needs it will advise you.

My IPhone 4 started talking while I was at work today, and I can no longer get it to recognize my password. It freezes up and will not function properly, nor can I answer incoming calls. I've reset the phone twice, but to no avail. I currently have it hooked up to Itunes, but again, I can't get the phone to recognize the password. Any suggestions?
If you mean it speaks when you tap things on the screen, you have VoiceOver turned on and need to turn it off in settings. To do this, follow these steps exactly:
Press Home.
Tap Settings. Then double-tap Settings.
Tap General. Then double-tap General.
Use three fingers on the screen to scroll to Accessibility.
Tap Accessibility. Then double-tap Accessibility.
Tap VoiceOver. Then double-tap VoiceOver.
Tap "On" next to VoiceOver. Then double-tap "On" to turn it off. -
My numbers & symbols 1-9 / !-( do not work on my wireless key pad. I have tried the resolution information but, still no response with those keys only. I can type these keys with the keyboard viewer, thankfully. Any suggestions?

Hi melbernai - not sure if you've solved this problem yet. I had the exact same problem recently with my 2nd Gen iPod Nano. I solved it yesterday by simply updating iTunes to the most recent version, after which I could get rid of the register screen. The only other thing I needed to do to add my custom playlists was select "Manually manage music" on the screen for my iPod, since it had been in an automatic synching mode since the problem occurred.

Its cheaper than Numbers and it also works for Word and PowerPoint files too. I like the Dropbox integration. I can start on my Office docs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in the office and then edit those files with Office2HD when I'm out of the office. Files saves right back to Dropbox so that when I get back to the office the files are already updated. Not bad for a $7.99 app!

I'm just trying to revive my old PowerPC G4/ dual 867MHz 512MB. Unfortunately I am unable to install from disc since my optical drive, although still working, is somehow not able to read the leopard installer. I wanted to try the remote install option but have limited resources and don't have a network where I can have both the Mac desktop and windows laptop communicate. I read somewhere that I can use a crossover cable to connect the two directly. I'm still trying to see if I can get an external DVD-ROM as another option. Any suggestions?
Your Mac doesn't need a crossover cable, it auto-switches...

If you get an external DVD drive it needs to be Firewire & Mac bootable.

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

After ios5 upgrade can no longer increase font size on iPad or iPhone, any suggestions apart from getting a new pair of glasses! Also, the backlight on the iPad isn't as bright as before the upgrade, any ideas?

The filename is whatever is set to be the background fill of the site (I presume the desktop background fill, if mobile versions are set to be different). I've tried a number of different files, sizes and types/formats and the result is still the same, so as far as I can tell it's not the file itself causing the issue...
It uploads all pages (desktop, tablet and phone versions), .css files and .html files, and even the favicon .ico file but then hangs on the first image file, which incidentally is the background fill image.
The total number of files is said to be 154. It gets stuck on file number 24.
Yes the "Resume" dialog appears and upon clicking it just attempts to continue from the hang at the first image file (apparently 66% of the way through).
Re: the "BC site has changed" part - I thought as much but figured worth reporting.
... Incidentally, as I've written this reply, I left the "Resume" dialog open (ie neither clicking "resume" or "cancel" and just as I've finished typing it appears to have published the site successfully?!! (I must've left it for roughly 5 minutes)
Bizarre behaviour... I'm not sure if this will repeat itself with other sites but I'm sure there's a bug here that needs looking at regardless...?!

Tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then relog into WiFi. If still problem, maybe the WiFi Network you are using is the problem. If the WiFi is OK, then Restore your iPhone with current iTunes on your computer. See if better. If still a problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

I installed Lion on my MAC book and now want to uninstall it, can't seem to find a way to do it, any suggestions?
In order to uninstall Lion and "downgrade" your OS, you have to erase your drive. There is no other way. If you have a bootable clone or a Time Machine backup, it is easy - just boot with it, erase the drive, and clone back. Or, do you have your install disks? Boot from that disk, erase the drive and reinstall.
Make sure you back up your important files first since they will be gone.
