I can't sync my iPhone to the computer.
Every time I try, it says that "an unknown error occurred". I've tried several times already but it still won't work.
The "unknown error" should include an error number. What is it? Trying again witihout changing anything doesn't make a lot of sense.
Has it worked in the past?
If it has, what have you changed recently on your computer? New software? OS upgrade or patch? Software upgrade or patch?
What operating system? What version of iTunes? What version of iOS? CDMA or GSM iPhone?
Are you using a USB port on your computer, and not a USB hub?

I am having trouble syncing my Iphone to the computer. Everytime I connect it....it says 'sync in progress' and on Itunes it says 'backing up in progress' but nothing really happens. It goes on forever...I end up disconnecting......please advise.
If you ever want to cut down on back up times eject your SIM card before starting...you should see the over all time go down a noticable amount.
Disclaimer: this does not mean that it will zip like lightning, just move faster than it dies with the card in...

The issue is that I miss the info icon in my iTune, thtas why I can't manage syncing my agenda (local) with my MacBook.
I conect my Iphone (by cable) to my MacBook so as I did every time, but since the new OSX and iTune 11.1.3 I misse the info Icon and my agenda in Iphone doens't syncing with my agenda in my MacBook. -
Had to remove itunes from my computer to reset the computer. Now I'm having problems syncing my iphone with the computer. Computer is saying it wants to download updates to the phone but that will delete things I downloaded straight from the phone. Help!
iTunes thinks you have a new computer because you restored the OS. Open iTunes and authorize it to the same account you have on the iPhone. Did you restore your iTunes content from a backup after resetting your computer? Have you been syncing regularly with the computer, and does the iTunes library on the computer contain your apps, music and videos? If so just sync and your content will be removed then restored.
If you have not hopefully you have now learned something. You can recover apps and purchased songs by connecting the phone, without syncing, and choose "Transfer purchases..." from the File menu. -
I recently got the iPhone 4s, but my iPod has a lot of apps with a lot of data on them and don't want to start over. I already synced my iPhone from the computer that had all my apps from my iPod, how do i transfer the data over, the other apps did. But some reason the app Clash Of Clans did not. Thank you.
If I wiped my phone I wouldn't have the contacts on my phone to send to my self. I would need to take just the contacts from my back up. I would have to do this through iTunes and I don't see how I can just extract the contacts only from my back up. From what I can figure out it is all or nothing

Your only hope is to place your phone in to DFU mode and restore it using iTunes (if iTunes allows you to).
Search in Google "Force iPhone in to DFU mode" and follow the instructions precisely. -

Only iTunes content and any photos transferred from the computer that was used for syncing the iPhone.
Transfer your iTunes library from your computer's backup which should include other important data such as documents and photos, etc. -

I just downloaded the latest version of iTunes (11.0.4). Now I both unable to make purchases on iTunes and unable to sync my iPhone with my computer without restoring it to factory settings (which will erase my data). Is there someway to revert back to 11.0.3 version of iTunes?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing and follow the instructions. -

CAn You Sync Two iPhones to the same iTunes Account?
Has anyone been successful in syncing two iPhones to the same iTunes account. I am the main user of our Mac and my wife just uses it for email and internet browsing. Basically she uses my user account and therefore we share one contacts list, one calendar, one iTunes, and both use the same Mac Mail with our own email addresses. Both also want to use MobileMe.

trippjYes.. It is a very difficult process.. First, log into 1 computer with your account and Authorize that computer to use the iPhone. then Sync your phone.. Log out and go to the second computer.. login and Authorize then sync your phone.
