I can't take a pic w/ NX Ultra CAM

Hi there,
I have had my camera for a few months now, and since the day I hooked it up I haven't been able to take a picture with it. I can capture still pics (hundreds at a time) which is not good if I am wanting picture. I push the button down on the top of the camera and nothing happens!! Can anyone please help me and offer some solution/answers? I would appreciate it. :manwink:
Michael

Hey there Miffy,
Thank you for asking your question! It sounds like your camera is not foccusing on its own. I want to recommend these troubleshooting steps specifically from the article named:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2802
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the best,
Sterling

  • How can I take a pic

    Hi
Can not detect the font of the text, I was wondering if I can take a pic of the original text and paste it in the editing pdf, is it possible to do this and how can I take a pic of the selected area of the pdf?

Cut and paste, copy and past. Neither will give you much traction; certainly not when doing so with an image.
Revisit the authoring file. With Acrobat installed create a fresh PDF that has the desired fonts embedded.

  • Can't take pictures with Image Capture - Canon  Camera

I can't take pictures using Image Capture using either my Canon Power Shot A710IS or my husband's SD600. I can download pictures with both cameras, but if I switch to shooting mode, Image Capture says "No Image Capture Device Connected." I know it worked with my PowerShot A75, but my *&%$ son broke it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Can Not Take Pcitures with my Power Shot Camera

    Hi!
I have a Canon PowerShot ELPH520 HS that I have had for about 2 years and all of a sudden I am unable to take any picutres.

    Hi!
So I got a replacement battery (not directly from Canon) but an after market I guess?  And nothing changed.
I have "Reset" my camera a ton of times and nothing seems to change on it.  I was hoping I could upload a picture of what all is showing (little pics/icons) but doesn't look like I can.  I would have thought a reset would reset it to orginal settings?  Maybe I am wrong.
Here are the pictures I show on my camera
From top left to right -
    Battery
    1/4 of a circle with a L beside it
    2930
a box with 1930 inside it
    29'01"
    Down Right Size
    P
Lightening bolt pointing down with A
    Bottom Left Corner Date
Left Side Directly under the battery icon
a little camera with an arrow pointing out.
No Idea if this tells you anything?
I am able to take a picture of my laptop directly in front of me but when trying to take a picture of the room 10 feet in front of me no luck.
I'm about to just buy another camera.  My son's 2nd birthday is a few weeks away and was really hoping I could figure this out.
    Thanks!

  • How can i take the pictures from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything

How can I take the pics from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything?

Pictures on an iPod are stored in a special format, optimized for the iPod's small lower resolution screen, to save storage space.  iTunes puts them into that format when syncing.  There is setting in iTunes, on the iPod's Photos screen (where you set up syncing of photos) for Include full resolution photos.  If that checkbox was checked when you synced the photos to the iPod, THEN you can Enable disk use and find those photo files on the iPod in the Photos folder.
Otherwise, you cannot get your photos back, using iTunes.  There may be third-party utilities that can extract individual photos from the iPod, but they will still be lower-resolution versions of the original photo.

  • Would like to know how I can scan and take a pic of my iTunes card and send to cust support to redeem my code

Would like to know how I can scan and take a pic and send to customer support.

If you just want to redeem the card then you shouldn't need to scan it in nor contact Support : redeeming a card.
If you are having a problem with the code and need to contact Support about it then if you have a computer or a mobile phone with a camera on it then you can take a picture with that - or you can use a digial camera and import it to your computer so that you can attach it.

  • Can I downsize my pics as they are too large to email several at a time and take up too much space

I want to make slideshows or powerpoints that I can email. My pics are so large 4 MB and up, i would like to downsize them closer to 600 KB ...can i do that on I Photo?

Simply, sharing video via email is not advisable.
Many email services have an attachment limit of 20mb and some a limit of 10mb. As emails are sent through an array of relays, the effective limit is the smallest file size allowed on any of the relays.  That means that video is rarely suitable for emailing.
Then there's the whole issue of Codecs and not all machines will have the codecs to play all videos. Plus, folks with slower connections can find it very inconvenient to download large video files.
Finally, sharing video from iPhoto via email is not supported. All that gets you is the Movie thumbnail. If you feel you must share via email then you'll need to export the video first, and attach that. Use the File -> Export command and set the kind  to Original.
    This User Tip
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Other than that your options include:
Upload it to a sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link - these will allow the recipient to view the material online. That will avoid the codec issues mentions, and the person can still download the video file if they wish.
Upload it to sharing services like Dropbox or YouSendIt and email a link. This will require that they download the material to their machines to view.

  • Can you take a photograph and add a caption and then email for business use?

I want to be able to utilize my ipad in the followin manner:
take a photo of a construction condition, write a caption under the photo or several photos adn then email to office so they can format and send out to contractor.
I also want to create a report template to insert on my ipad and write my info on the report to submit to office with photos.... Is this possible?

With the pages app, my experience has been you have to take the photo, close out of camera, open pages, create a new blank document, go to tools, select the photo(s), copy them to the document, size it appropriately and then work your text around the outside of the photo box.  Its good if you want to add arrows and stuff pointing to an object in the photo but frankly it's time consuming and actually kind of a hassle.
I want to be able to snap a pic and pop a caption on it RIGHT THEN, ....without closing and opening any other apps.  The key for me is quick and easy.  I take allot of job site photos that need descriptions on them. Any input on that ?

  • Why does my camera take foggy pics in nighttime/dark environments?

during the day, my camera works fine.  at night, the pics come out foggy.  is it defected?

You really need to define "foggy" better. Are you photos fine during the day just because the lighting is brighter? if so then you need more lighting at night, obviously.  However, it is very easy with phone cameras to put fingerprints on the little piece of glass that covers the lens on the phone.  Because the sensor is so small, a finger print is comparitively large to the sensor/pixel ratio.  Hence, each time you pull out your phone you really should check the glass is clean before using...in reallity it is quicker just to clean it each time rather than spend time checking if it is clean. So just do it.  If however, it is a matter of scene brightness and not foggyness, then two issues need addressing. Firstly, how far away is your subject?  if it is within 1.5 meters (4-5ft) then you can use the flash supplied with the phone, any further away than that and phone flashes are pointless and only serve to confuse the phone into taking poor photos.  In these instances you would be better to disable the phone flash and let the sensor compensate for the lack of light automatically, which it will do, if everything else is set to automatic.  By this I specifically mean the ISO settings.  You can check/set these manually.  Make sure the ISO is set to the highest setting (ISO 800 or greater).  This will produce more 'grain' in the photo but this is unavoidable and can even affect top end SLR's so don't feel bad. Secondly, if it is too dark to take photos then it is too dark to take photos - this is when 'reciproicity failure' sets in. Nothing can be done about this on a phone camera and is the reason people purchase SLR's, which can get around this using the 'Bulb' setting in the shutter speed dial.  Remember, you only get what you pay for and there is a reason why SLR's cost thousands.  It is because they produce better photos in more difficult situations than phones cameras can.  So don't expect huge things from a camera phone.

camera shutter wont open to take a pic....???

The most popular thread on this has nearly 25,000 views. Below is the follow-up post I put on that thread and all these related threads.
If it was just a hardware problem, Apple should fix it for all of us. But I can't quite understand how it's a hardware problem when the problem is not common to all my camera apps; the Apple camera app does not work at all now, but I can take regular pics with other camera apps I have.
But still, trying to switch to FaceTime/self-portrait mode results in total failure and the need to restart....if it was just a hardware issue I'd expect it to not work for all apps.

I initially posted: "keep talking it up on Discussions and send Feedback." Now I encourage us all to SEND FEEDBACK.
Feedback is different than discussions. FEEDBACK is set up to take reports of bugs or problems and just posting on Discussions may not be noticed properly.

    My Feedback was:
QUOTE: "Dear Apple, many, many problems are being reported about camera malfunctions. One thread in Discussions ishttps://discussions.apple.com/thread/2595775?start=30&tstart=0 that has over 60 complaints and there are several other threads about this, so something is obviously wrong.
Thanks for your attention to this. Apple is a fine company and hope it continues that way. The camera is a key feature of these products: the iPod Touch and iPhone. Not having the camera work properly is ridiculous. Some software fix needs to become available.
    Sincerely... END QUOTE
After you Submit the Feedback you get this message:
