I can't tell if my AdobePro software upgrade has been installed properly. Doesn't seem to be working, so what do I do?

How can I tell if my AdobePro upgrade has been properly installed?

Thank you, but I am not good enough at uninstalling and reinstalling apps to be certain I won’t completely mess up what I already have. Do you know if there is a way to get online support directly from Adobe? I am in the middle of a very important project and can’t risk losing the use of Adobe as I had it before attempting to upgrade.
Thank you. Really appreciate that you responded to my inquiry.

  • How do I know if the Maverick software update has been installed on my mac?

    How do I know if the Maverick software update has been installed on my mac?

    It will not download if you already have it.
    Just to be 100% clear …
    Look in /Applications for "Install OS X Mavericks"
    Use the Finders Go menu > Applications. To open it.
    You may have an Applications folder in your Home directory too, it shouldn't be in there but it is possible.
    Also try Spotlight to see if it can find that filename.
    Can you also tell us what system you have?
    Apple menu > About this Mac > more info button… What is the Model (under the Overview tab).
    10.9 doesn't install on all systems, so it could explain why you can't get it, however it usually displays a dialog stating that fact.

  • How can I determine if a Critical Patch Update has been installed?

    I know I can use opatch -lsinventory to confirm that a the patch has been installed in an Oracle home, but how can I check to see if the CPU script (catcpu.sql) has been run in a database?
    I'd like to know for two reasons:
    1. I am concerned because I have many databases to patch under a single Oracle home and I'd like to check them all to make sure I didn't miss any.
    2. I've heard that I'll have to run catcpu.sql in any new database I create under this Oracle home. I know I'll eventually forget to do this, so I'd like some way to check if the script has been run.
    Thanks in advance

    Paul,
    Starting from CPUJan2006, these actions will be recorded in registry$history table.
    You can find this out by
    select ACTION , VERSION, COMMENTS from registry$history;
    SQL> select * from registry$history;
    ACTION VERSION COMMENTS
    CPU 10.2.0.1.0 CPUJan2006
    Before CPUJan2006, you may to check it through a crude way of finding CPUXxxYYYY dir and cheking APPLY... and ROLLBACK... log files.

  • How can I tell if a non-destructive crop has been applied when opening an image?

    I've wrapped my head around how to reclaim the stripped-out portion of an image that has been non-destructively cropped in CS6: click the image with the crop tool, or select Reveal All from the Image menu. Short of doing this every time I suspect that I may have cropped an image, is there anything in Photoshop's interface to tell me at a glance if the image has been non-destructively cropped? I guess I could check the document dimensions in the pop-up status display at the bottom of the window, but I'm looking for something more direct that doesn't make me search.

    If you primarily edit files from a particular camera, then your idea to set the status box at the lower-left to show the image dimensions is a good one - just watch for dimensions that are not the norm.
    You shouldn't have to set the readout to Document Dimensions more than once, though...  Open one image, set that field to read Document Dimensions, then close the document and quit Photoshop gracefully.  From now on it ought to read Dimensions when you open a new document.
    I wasn't aware 10.8.1 was out.

  • How can I tell that a default numeric format has been applied to a numeric limit step?

    I am working on generating custom HTML code for our test systems in order to reduce the 'footprint' of the standard HTML entries for numeric limits, multiple-numeric limit steps etc....
    For a Numeric Limit step, I can set the Numeric Format via the 'Limits' tab and select the pulldown arrow to select any format.  Does TestStand actually save this information with the step so I could possibly use this later?   I ask this because my modifications are within the 'ModifyReportEntry' Callback.   When I am modifying the code to generate new HTML within this callback, I have no idea if the developer has selected a Numeric Format for a given step OR simply left it as DEFAULT.
    To make matters more confusing, here is some more information....
    When I pause the execution in the callback I notice the following:
    Case 1:  User has selected a Numeric Format ( this example I will say 3 digits of precision ) %.3f. for a numeric limit step.
    Parameters.Result.Limits.Low = 10.000
    Parameters.Result.Limits.High = 20.000
    Parameters.Result.Numeric = 15.657
    Notice the numeric data is ALREADY formatted! Great, I can simply use this to generate my custom HTML table for the numeric limit step.
    Case 2 : User has left the numeric format to <Default> for the step.
    Parameters.Result.Limits.Low = 10
    Paramters.Result.Limits.High = 20
    Parameters.Result.Numeric = 15.65713515155
    Numeric data is NOT formatted.  I know that TestStand will apply the Default Numeric Format that is configured in the report options when it writes the report but since I am doing a custom report I am stuck.
    My question is how can I possibly tell that the data has already been formatted by TestStand in the ModifyReportEntry callback?  Is there some flag that I could check or anything?
    I do notice that the Parameters.ReportEntry string contains TestStand's default HTML code for the step and this is already properly formatted.. so as a possible workaround I could 'pick out' the data from this string but this is slow and time consuming.
    Thanks
    PH

    PH,
    You can find out if the numeric format has changed using the TestStand API. I use the following statement in my step's post-expression to find out the numeric format that TestStand uses for the step.
    Step.Limits.Low.NumericFormat
    If the string returned is an empty string, then it is the default format, otherwise, it's the one specified in the string.
    Hope this helps.

  • Early Morning  2/9/11 orderers: Can you tell me if your credit card has been charged yet?

    Actually, I ordered mine about 10 or so mintutes before 3:01AM.
    I'm just worried and want to make sure my order went through okay.
    I received the order confirmation email but there's been no change in the status of the order.
    The credit card I used still has not been charged.
    I was just wondering if anyone else who ordered so early this morning had their credit card charged yet?
    Thanks

    some people are theorizing that it's all a marketing ploy so that people will think there's some huge demand and go out tomorrow and buy them like crazy. Any later than tomorrow just doesn't make sense me:
    1. The preorders didn't sell out until later the first day (the 18th became the date between 2:45 and 3:00)
    2. The only way that the first day would sell out that drasrically quicker, the quantities would have to be extremely lower which is unlikely since obviously more would buy on the general day
    3. It's unlikely that such a large amount would buy their phones between 2:45 and 2:50. I started by order at 2:50 and it said the 18th

  • Can we erase .dmg files once the program has been installed?

    Are the Disk Images and the .dmg files necessary to keep on your computer once you've installed the software? I mean does the program (any) have to access this 'placenta' in order to do it's job/ get more information? Is it continually exchanging data with the 'stuff' in here/or repairing itself? Or can we erase them?

    For the reasons you outline, you can erase them.
    Possible reasons for keeping them:
    Sometimes software disappears from vendor sites. New versions replace old, but you may still want to use the old. It may be a resource should you need to reinstall.
    An installer may also include an uninstaller utility.

  • How do I tell if some kind of malware has been installed on my computer? My daughter answered the phone and they had her go to a site for ammyy admin.  I don't think she was successful at doing what they wanted but how do I make sure?

    I don't know how to tell if the phone scam that was pulled on my daughter was successful or not? They had her go to a site for Ammyy Admin. My husband who was home at the time and not at all computer literate thinks that it wasn't successful but how do I tell for sure?
    Thanks!!

    It's not very likely that any harm came of this. It sounds as though they were trying to get your daughter to enter some personal information into the website. If she did not do this then don't lose any sleep over it.
    If she did, just change whatever passwords that might have been associated with the personal information she provided.
    If your computer starts exhibiting some heretofore strange behaviour, pay attention to it so that you might describe what it is. As I say this is unlikely to happen.

    can someone tell me which itune software is support for ipod version 6.0 ipod touch (4th gen)?

    You need iTunes 10.7 (the current version at the moment) in order to upgrade your iPod Touch to iO6.
    You can always do an Over-the-Air (OTA) update as well via Settings -> General -> Software Update if you are already running iOS 5 or later.

    Click on the Apple symbol in the top left of the screen and select About this Mac. Click on More Info and scroll down to the USB entry under hardware. Does it list the 'Built in iSight' in the top right hand pane?
    If it does, what happens when you run the Photo Booth application?

    YOu need to reinstall iPhoto.
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
    2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
    2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
    A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
    If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
    If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
    If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

    can anybody tell me that "is it possible to clean install os x 10.5 or 10.6 on a mac running 10.4.11"

    Hello Abdul,
    Yes it is, assuming your Mac can handle eother one, and you have the Retail Install Disc(s).
    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
        *  Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
        * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
    You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.
    There are workarounds if the 867MHz is the only hangup...
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/leopardassist/
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

    It looks like they might still have it...
