I can't transfer files

Hello, I am transferring from one computer to the other in my office. I select ‘GO’ from the menu and type in the IP to the other computer. The login window pops up and I select Registered User and fill it in. The drive pops up on the computer and I drag a file over and drop it on the folder on that drive. I get an error message saying, “you don’t have sufficient access.” Or something like that.
I gave it the right pass and user so who can this pop up when I am the registered user?

Did you set the folder permissions correctly on the receiving Mac in order to allow it to accept the file?

Should you run into trouble.
Take the exernal drive appart. Take out the harddrive. Try reading the data via a usb adapter. Put a household finan on the hd.

Can you transfer files between two user accounts on the same MacBook Pro?
Specifically, I used the Migration Assistant to move music and photos from my old PC to my new MacBook.
Somehow, I missed the fact that it was creating a new user account when it was doing this. So none of music and photos are in the user account I originally set-up. Instead, all these files are now in a different account.
I'd like to consolidate all my files on the one user account and delete the other one.
Is this possible and, if so, how do I do it?

you can crop files from one account to another using the Public Dropbox which every user account has. Log into the user that has the files you want to move, then drag the folder you want to the new users' dropbox:
I suggest a small scale test on a few files first before moving gigabytes of files.

ENGLISH Windows 8.1. I've downloaded the WET for Windows vista and tried to complete the second portion of the transfer by specifying the saved .MIG file WET created. Then I got the error message: "Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer
files from Windows Vista or Windows XP".
The truth is, Microsoft was too busy integrating special effects to it's operating system and claimed it as fully polished instead of making sure built-in tools were worth using.
Another harsh reality is that THERE IS NO WAY TO TRANSFER a file from Windows Vista to Windows 8. That's because engineers didn't even bother to make that possibility happen. Just Google: "Transfer from windows vista to windows 8" and you'll see
there are no relevant Microsoft web page about this.
Worse, Microsoft is giving excuses. To solve this issues, they came with a toolbox of fake scenarios in order to confuse clients even further, while they know damn well the Windows Easy Transfer is NOT EASY and certainly in multiple cases

Trying to transfer from 7 to 8.1 and although it looks like the "7" side of the equation is working, the "8" side isn't.
"7" is trying to connect to "8" but "8.1" is being just plain stupid.
Not even sure why the MIG file step is even necessary if all I want to do is transfer one file between two machines. Said file is really BIG, or i'd just use my network, and the "8.1" rig doesn't have a dvd reader...

Format the external drive as FAT32 or ExFAT. Both computers will then be able to read and write to it.

Connect the computer to another Mac and put it in FireWire Target Disk mode, or use the Disk Utility to clone the drive or image specific folders with the USB drive as the target. After you've copied off everything you want, you'll likely need to erase the drive and reinstall the applications.

If you want to trigger the file transfer from within SAP then you need to execute an external OS command (transaction SM49, SM69).
At the level of the OS (operating system, e.g. Windows, Linux) you need to be able to transfer files to the Lotus server.
Your task is, for example, to write a report executing the external OS command which will be executed at the OS level where the file transfer happens.

Eversince I got the new iTunes update I cannot figure out how to import files into apps directly.
For example I have used the app "Playable" by "BEWARE PROJECTS LTD" for some time now. In the former version I would just connect the iPad, open the iPad sheet, select "apps" from the top of the page, and then scroll down to the list of file sharing apps and there I could add almost ANY of video file and the app could play them with no problem at all.
But in this new version, I can't figure out how to do that anymore!
I have used similar apps for my ebooks (those that iBooks doesn't read) and I can't transfer files to those apps either.
what am I supposed to do?

No need to scream at me.
You can access the apps by clicking the iPad thingy on top right of the screen (when the iPad is connected) and then select Apps and scroll down to file sharing apps...
