I can't transfer photos by Bluetooth to my T400

I've just bought my first ThinkPad after hearing how good they were, but I've been experiencing quite a few things that aren't quite working as they ought to. I'm putting this down to Vista rather than the hardware.
I can put up with most of the glitches (for now) but one thing I really do need help with is this: when I attempt to transfer more than one photo from my mobile phone (a Sony Ericcson K810i) to my new T400 using Bluetooth, a message appears on my mobile phone screen: "Item not accepted by other device. Retry?"
Quite why this is, is a mystery to me. I've linked the two devices seemingly correctly, tinkered with the Bluetooth Radio settings on the laptop, ticked all the right boxes, downloaded and installed the latest drivers (6.2.0.5000)... and what's more, transferring just one photo works fine. It's when I transfer two photos or more that I get the problem.
If anyone can help, I'd be eternally grateful. Multiple-photo transfer by Bluetooth was something I used a lot with my last laptop and it's something that I really need to work. Many thanks in advance.

Hello Bel_Ludovic, welcome here.
The bluetooth software is a litte tricky.
You first have to pair the two things. If you send a pic to your T400 then look at the bluetooth symbol in your tasklist.
It will get yellow, click on it, then you have to insert a code like 555 and click ok. Then insert the same code into your cell phone.
After that the devices are paired.
For easier transfer you might disable security function for file transfer in your bluetooth software.

The devices are not designed for transfer of that kind. Use Photo Stream as suggested by another poster, or transfer photos to your computer (a good idea anyway since they will be lost if your device needs to be reset), then use iTunes to sync them to the other devices.

Pics taken with the iphone are imported to your computer as with any other digital camera ( as explained in the manual).
Pics synced to your iphone from your computer should still be on the computer.

If you are trying to get all the photos from an old phone to your new phone, you could sync the old phone which would create a backup containing your Camera Roll. Then connect the new phone and follow the prompts to register and name your new phone. You will then be given the choice of restoring data to your new phone from a backup of the old phone. This will replace any existing data on the new phone with the data from the backup so it's really the best option if the other phone is new.
Another option would be to connect the phone to your computer and import your photos to iPhoto or the My Pictures folder. Then you could sync the other phone and under the Photos tab in iTunes you could choose the folders/albums of pictures you want on the phone. They will not be in the Camera Roll, but they will be on the phone.

Connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page (though it looks like Apple are doing some maintenance at the moment so the link isn't working). You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including photos in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from the iPad (synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad).

I did figure this out eventually and am going to record it here so later, when i ultimately forget the twists and turns I took to make this happen, I'll be able to come back and see....For me it was not as simple as John (above) offered...First: Export photos from iPhoto into folder on desktop. Click on the folder and select from the top left corner File - Check info- click the box beside shared folder- scroll down to Sharing & Permission and make sure the other user acccount is added to who can read & write.
If you haven't done this already go into System Preferences- Sharing- check the box beside File Sharing- click on File Sharing as well and 2 windows will appear- Shared Folders and Users. Select the shared folder you want to use and in the User window add the other user account to who can read & write.
Next: Open Finder- select Public Folder- drag photo folder into it.
Now log off and open your other User profile. Open Finder. Select Macintosh HD in the side bar- select Users Folder- select the original User profile you want your photos from- select Public Folder- your photo folder should be there, drag it onto your Desktop or directly into iPhoto. If a block occurs saying you aren't alllowed to see this folder then you missed a step in the whole file sharing business.

To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to your device using photo applications
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
In iTunes, select your device's icon in the Devices list on the left.
Click the Photos tab.
