I can't turn off my cellular data for facebook

I tried to turn off my cellular data for Facebook, but it is on when I check it immediately...
I tried...
Settings >> Cellular >> Faceboook
and
Settings >> Facebook >> Settings >> User Cellular Data
both doesn't work. I also tried Settings >> General >> Reset >> Reset Network Settings. then try again. But it doesn't work.
Any idea or solution?
It is the same for the F#$% Facebook Messanger

go to setting---->general----->accesories----->turn of accesotive touch and then

How come I have to off my Cellular Data for my Wi-Fi to work??

    Off is off.
If you want the alrm to go off, the iphone must be on.  It will be in sleep mode which saves battery.
The blackberry was simply on standby mode, not off.  If it was off then the alrrm would not go off either.
Feel free to leave feedback for Apple.  Let them know you want a stand by feature

how can I turn off Keychain from asking for my password EVERY time I check for mail?
This is really driving me nuts.....
    Thanks

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click General.
Open the General pane of Security & Privacy preferences
    2.     Select “Require password...NEVER after sleep or screen saver begins.”  You can adjust the amount of delay before a password is required in the pop-up menu.
From what I am aware, you cannot turn off the keychain.
    I hope this helps.

How can I turn off the auto renewal for Hulu Plus?  I can not seem to follow the instructions given...I can not launch I tunes and have a menu appear.......
My special needs son accidentally signed up for this trial offer and I want it cancelled immediately.  I have received an email from them, but can not get it to work and I have been trying for over a week.......feeling frustrated.

How/where are you trying to stop the subscription ?
If you are using iTunes on a PC and the drop-down menus aren't showing at the top of iTunes then see if control-B gets them to show, or try alt-S and see if that gets the Store drop-down menu to show. You should also be able to cancel subscriptions by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPod Touch an logging into your account.

  • If I turn off the cellular data on my iPhone 5s will the number of bars and provider still show at the top?

I got an iPhone and I noticed I was using data a lot quicker than I was with my android I had before it. I turned off the cellular but the number of "bars" or dots that are filled in and the service provider still show up at the top of the screen. Is it actually turned off or did it stay on?

The dots will still show when cellular data is turned off. You still have a cellular connection for phone calls and non iMessage texting and it is showing the strength of that connection.
Note that you can track what is using your cellular data by going to Settings > Cellular > Use Cellular Data For
and you can also turn off individual apps on that screen.

  • [iOS 8.2] Notification every time you start an app after you turn off the Celluar Data for it.

Why on earth is this notification ever needed?
I turned off Cellular Data for a specific app intentionally to prevent it using Cellular Data!!
When it is turned off, I know it, I don't need you to told me about that, OK?!
Not to mention it pops up again and again, every time you start the app!! I mean EVERY TIME!! LITERALLY!!
Someone might says, then turn Cellular Data on for it.
NO, I will NOT, I am not going to let these apps to use my Cellular Data, because Cellular Data is very expensive in my country - China!!
And I don't believe it is ever necessary to let an app, such as iBooks, to use my Cellular Data for any purpose!!
BTW, If you do care so much about using Cellular Data, why didn't you add the Cellular Data switch to the Control Center?
Consider the fact that WIFI is mostly free to use, while Cellular Data will be charged expensively, which means I can turn on WIFI all day without worry about anything, don't you think you put a wrong Switch here?

Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

  • How Can I Turn OFF Junk Mail Filter for IMAP Accounts Only?

I am trying to figure out how to turn off the Junk Mail filtering for IMAP accounts such as .Mac/.ME and GMAIL. All filtering is working fine on the server side, and reviewing the mail that is tagged is easy enough by just going to the account and displaying the folders created on the server.
I've checked the Junk mail pref and although the Advance settings let you isolate specific accounts to check, it does not give you the option bypass checking an account.
    i.e.
if <Any> of the following conditions are met:
    <Account> <is not> <Gmail (IMAP)>
As is, the mail rules are working perfectly on the server side, but in Apple Mail, many mails are being sent the Apple Mail's Junk folder.
When going through the Gmail's instructions on setting up a Gmail account for Apple Mail, it specifically says to turn off Junk mail filtering for the account, but I can't find any options to do that.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    TIA

I haven't tried this, but it should work:
    Make a new rule,
If <Any> <Account> is <Gmail> or <Account> is <.me> then "Stop evaluating rules".
Move this rule to the last in the list of rules.
In the Junk Mail preferences, be sure that "Filter junk mail before applying my rules" is unchecked.

  • Can you "turn off" IM in Presence for certain users?

Running Presence 7.0. Can I turn off the IM function of select people? Or can I turn it off for everyone?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Johnny,
You can turn off IM on a Clusterwide basis, but I'm not sure about individual users
Enable Instant Messaging check box (clusterwide)
Check to turn on and off Instant Messaging clusterwide for the Cisco IP PhoneMessenger and Cisco Unified Personal Communicator clients. When instant messaging is disabled, the Send an Instant Message option is not available in Cisco Unified Personal Communicator.
    Default setting: Enabled
Note: The following warning message is displayed if you uncheck this check box to disable instant messaging: "Before you globally disable instant messaging on this CUP cluster please notify and sign out all connected IPPM clients (via the IPPM Status page). Continue?"

  • Can I turn off ask to purchase for children under 18

My family wants to try family share but I don't need them to ask my permission to make purchases.  They are 11 and 13.  Is it possible to turn off Ask to Purchase for them?

The Timed Access feature in AirPort Utility for the AirPort Extreme will allow you to set up individual rules for each wireless device that you want to control.
For example, a simple way to do this would be to allow allow Internet access for the devices that you specify........
    Weekdays.......Between.....7 AM and 9 PM
Saturday.........Between......7 AM and 11 PM, (or up to 11:59 PM)
    Sunday...........Between......7 AM and 9 PM
The devices that you specify will only be able to connect to the network during the times that you set.  That won't keep them from using 3G though, if they have it on their iPhones or iPads.

  • Can I turn off my cellular connection completely but still use the gps?

On an old so, I forget which one, I used to be able to disable my cellular connection. I realise I can still do this with airplane mode but this stops the GPS working too. The main reason I want this as when I'm hiking I want to use my phone as a GPS device but without any signal my phones battery lasts about an hour. When I used to be able to disable it I could get a good 12+ hours of gps tracking.
    Thanks

It that case I'll test an workaround this weekend to see if I'm able to use it more than one day:
Disable Auto Screen Brightness and set Brightness to minimum
    Turn Off:
    Data Connection
    Wifi Connection
    Under Location Services, turn off
    Cell Network Search
    Traffic
Above just to be safe because GSM services will not be initiated
    Reboot phone
Not unlock the SIM card so the GSM services wil not start.
I'll let you know if there are some improvements and let's hope that Apple will allow us to turn off GSM services as well in the futures iOSes
    Regads,

Yes, you can turn off cellular data. You will not be able to use Visual Voicemail or get MMS messages, however.
