I can't turn on or wake up my iMac :-(

I am desperate!!!
I had working with our iMac. There was an Adobe Flash update (I think after opening Safari) and I left it up to the end so that I could continue what I was working with. Well, once finished, I updated Flash and it said it was successful. Then I asked the iMac to "shut down", yet it seemed to take longer than usual. I could see my display, but all the icons were gone. Yet, it did so at the end. Some minutes later I recalled I had forgotten to print out something and I went to turn on the iMac... but it is DEAD!!!

I don't know if the iMac was "shut down" or if I accidentally chose "sleep".

The iPhone 4 is doscontinued. It' can't be "brand new".
Hold down the power and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo on the screen. It should take about 20 seconds or so. If you get no response from that, make an appointment at the genius bar and have them look at it.

You should look under the ''Content'' tab of the options window. The [[Pop-up blocker]] Knowledge Base article will give you all the details you need. It will also give you steps on setting an exception for a particular site. That way you don't have to turn it off completely.

Here's my question: How can I turn my Mac, using iTunes, into an alarm clock?
I want to be able to put my Mac to sleep but have it set up so that when it wakes up at the predetermined time iTunes will open and start playing the music I've selected....

A friend suggested using the Energy Saver option in Sys. Preferences to wake the computer at the right time. He said that then I could use iCal to start iTunes. I would then have to use an Apple Script to get iTunes to play the song I want.
But is there a SIMPLER way to do this? Are there any programs out there that do this already??

I recently got a copy of AlarmClock Pro from MacWorld UK. It is shareware, I think it is (USD?)19. I haven't had a chance to try it out much, but it does look quite good. I have an older version. The latest version looks even better.

Firstly, welcome to the site, it's great to have you here, but I see your problem must be frustrating.
Your iPhone may be really low on charge, meaning that it can't turn on, or show anything on the screen. Plug your device in to a power outlet (a wall socket is better than your computer) and leave it. At first, you may see no change on the screen, or no acknolegment that it is charging, but this is normal. Your iPhone may need to charge for up to twenty minutes before you see anything on the screen. Leave your iPhone overnight to do a full charge, and everything should be back to normal.
In the event that your iPhone still does not respond, try plugging it into your computer, and opening iTunes. If iTunes doesn't recognise it, try booting it into recovery mode. To do this, make sure your device is disconnected (but stay by your computer) and hold down both the sleep/wake button on the top, and the home button. Then, after 30 seconds, release the sleep/wake button (continue holding the home button) and plug in your device into your computer. Eventually, iTunes should give you a message, and then allow you to restore your device in iTunes. It should then work as normal.
If this still doesn't work, then it may be a hardware faliure. Take your device to your local Apple Store, and they will talk you through repair and replacement options.

Can I turn off the monitor for Mac Mini and use it as a music server?

I am in the process of upgrading my PC most likely to a Mac product. With the non-server version of Mac OS X, can I turn off the monitor connected to a Mac Mini and use it as a streaming server? Or I have to get the server version of OS X to do that?

I plan to run Logitech Media Server on the Mac to stream music to players. Each player interacts with the Logitech Media Server to select songs to stream. When I turn on a player, it will wake up the computer from the sleep mode.
Currently, this Logitech Media Server runs on a Windows Vista machine and it will keep the PC from entering sleep mode while playing the songs. After I play the last song, the PC will start the idle count down and then enter into sleep mode.
Do you see any problem with my intended use of a Mac Mini?

Today I charged my iPhone then after the charge I can't turn it on unless I plug it on any kind of power device. It tells me to plug onto iTunes but after I do so it kept rebooting.

My iPhone is a 3GS and is iOS 5.0.1 never JBed. After I charged at school it just crashed and unable to be turned on. I can't turn it on unless it's plug onto any power source. I am connecting my Mac to TV 32'' via mini display port converted to HDMI.
I am using it on MAC OS X 10.6.6, and on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 also.
when i am connecting my TV, the 2 screens are on, Laptop screen and TV screen.
Can i turn the Laptop screen off while connecting the TV?

The quick answer is, hook up the tv to the computer, close the lid, then wake the computer up by clicking the mouse while the lid is closed. Not sure if it'll work while running windows, but I'd bet it does if you have the mac drivers installed on the win os.

Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until your phone turns off. You can either release at that point or keep pressing until you see the Apple logo...that's an iPhone reset.

You may have a faulty USB cable. Try another.
Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
