I can't uninstall or update flashplayer 10.3 r183 so can't see flash video

I had problems watching flash after updating to glash 11.3. So I read that the problem could be solved by installing flash 10.3. So I downloaded it from adobe ocd installed it and it still didn't work. But now I can't uninstall it. I've downloaded the uninstaller from adobe but after I run it it still says use flash "10.3 r183" in firefox. the same if I try updating to the newest flash.
I tried contacting adobe but they didn't know what to do and said there must be a problem in firefox. But uninstalling firefox doasn't help either.

Your system details list doesn't show the Flash Player plugin, so it is likely that you managed to uninstall Flash.
Now you need to install the latest Flash version.
You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these in case of problems.
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)

You cannot uninstall the update. Apple does not support downgrading. What troubleshooting have you done? Start with a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Are you syncing contacts with iCloud?

    Hi G,
If you're not using Software Update (in the Apple menu), use that.
If you are using SU and getting that message, try going to http://support.apple.com/downloads/ and downloading it, then install it.

  • Can I uninstall an update and go back to older the version ?

hi i have a macbook pro intel and i am using Mac osx 10.5.8, now i have a apple wireless keyboard, recently i just installed the "alluminium keyboard update 2" after which my keypad has stopped responding, i request is some one can offer a help ..... i just want to uninstall this update and go back to the older version .....

    Hi,
One simple way would be to completely uninstall your keyboard drivers, updated that they are, and reinstall from scratch, then deny the unwanted updates the right to install.
Another way is to get details about the culprit by using Terminal and typing the following commands:
    grep swupd /etc/swupd/com.apple.server.swupdate.plist > ~/Desktop/update_list.txt
(This will get you a list of software updates you've installed on you Mac, in text format, directly on your Desktop)
    Then:
    sudo rm -rf /usr/share/swupd/html/xxx-xxxx/
(Where "xxx-xxxx" stands for the actual update number you want to delete)
You'll have to reboot your Mac, and hope that the rollback that will ensue will take place without a glitch. You may find your keyboard unresponsive at first, time for the system to fetch the old driver back from it was stored.

  • Windows 7 on domain, only domain admins can install/uninstall and update

We are rolling out some Windows 7 PC's at work and are noticing some problems with Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat 8 on these new machines.  If a normal user is logged in to a Win 7 computer he/she cannot install, uninstall or update either adober reader x or Acrobat 8, they are met with the following error:
Error 1324: The path to My Documents or the volume is invalid. Please enter it again
This pops up immediatly when the choose to install.  All of our domain users are set up as local admins on their macines (Domain Users has been added to the local Adminstrators group).  The only way anyone can install or update without the errors is if we add them to the Domain Admins group which for obvious reasons we can't do.
Any ideas?  I can't seem to find a solution for this searching online.
    Thanks

  • Can I uninstall previous updates?

I keep getting this message when I try to play a game using FireFox,
"The application requires a previous version of Java. Do you want to continue?"
I looked in my Java settings to see if I can stop that message from popping up, but didn't find it.
I then looked in the FireFox settings, and there isn't anything there either.
I read somewhere that I should uninstall all previous versions of Java on my computer, but I don't have any. I looked at what I have installed and I saw a list of updates, 3, 5, 7, and 11.
Does that mean I should uninstall 3, 5, and 7?
Would that mess up my Java? Thanks for your help.

Apparently the game requires a certain Java JRE version that you don't have. If you want to run the game, it sounds like you need to install the version. I assume that it'll tell you what version is required.
In general, you only need one Java version, the current one (excluding the situation aboce where a program want a specific version othre than the current one.)
None of the versions you have are current. I recommend that you uninstall (in reverse order of their install order) all Java installs, then go to www://java.com and install the current Java JRE version. If you need an older version to play your game, you can install it from there, also.

  • Can you uninstall previous updates leaving just the latest to do the job?

I now have Java 6 Updates 1, 2, 3, & 5 all of about 111MB each on my computer - Does each need its predecessor to operate or can I now uninstall 1, 2 & 3 leaving just 5 to do the job of all of them?
Equally if I install update 10 could I then uninstall update 5?

  • My itunes won't update. It's looking for 10.6.0.40. Last time it tried to update, I downloaded the msi to my desktop and I deleted it within the last six months. Now I can't uninstall or update.

The last time my iTunes couldn't update. I used support from Itunes and downloaded it my desktop. My mistake. Because without thinking, I deleted it within the last six months from my desktop, without thinking I'd need it later. For the past month I've needed to update my Itunes and it can't find the msi. Now, my Ipad, my kids' ipod touches and my iphone can't update. Especially the ipod touches, iphone and work ipad have already updated to the OS6. And, now they won't work with this outdated iTunes. Help.

  • How can I uninstall the update for Adobe Reader x(10.1.8)?

Since installing the update it takes me 3 times as long to open a document. I work from home and I need to open documents to verify for billing and now I am too slow to do my job as fast as I should be.  Help!!!!

That is very unusual, as the 10.1.8 update is merely a security patch: https://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb13-22.html
Either way, uninstall Reader X, then reinstall 10.1.4 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and update it to 10.1.7.
