Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID > enter your password > set Country/Region to US if your account was created in the US.

There is more than one way to access the Apps Store and the iTunes store. One is via iTunes on your computer, and the other is via the apps on your iPod.
Just because you are logged in on your computer does not mean you are logged in on your iPod.
The reason your husband's user name comes up is because he was the last one to log on. You can change that by going to Settings>Store. Tap the Apple ID, Tap Sign Out, Tap Sign In, Tap Use Existing Appel ID, enter your e-mail address and Apple ID password, and tap OK.

TS1741 Can't update Apps. Get message that "Cannot connect to iTunes Store

I have an iPad2 using Wi-Fi through my home computer. The device seems to hook up to iTunes on the computer and sync all applications. On my App Store icon on the iPad2 it shows "16". when i try to update I get the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" select OK. All other selections such as Purchased, Categories, Top Charts, Genius and Featured all seem to work. I was even able to download an app. I used to be able to update apps from my iPad2 through any wireless connection. Anyone have a fix for me.

See if this weird fix works for you.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.

Apps downloading error : Account not valid for Nepalese store, Switch to Indian Store..

While trying to Download apps from Store it shows that My account is not valid for the use in Nepalese store... well, I'm from Nepal but currently I'm in India for my study. So, while I guess I had choosen india while Filling Details.. But now I want Nepalese apps.... What to do?? hel p!!

You can change the store this way.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store
You can also try signing out of your ID at the bottom of the App Store - in the featured tab - and then sign in again and see if that corrects your situation.

ITunes and App Store says account is not valid in US store even though I am using an account I created in the US for the US store..

Pretty much what it says above.. I have re entered the account info in settings making sure I am using a US credit card with a US billing address, on a Sprint phone I bought in the US, but it still tries to redirect me to the Australian store even though I am logged in with the apple ID associated with my US account.. You might try resetting the App Store application and clear the cookies via this menu:

If the thief enabled activation lock on the device, then there is nothing that can be done. Only the password for the Apple ID that it is locked with can disable activation lock.

First go here - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and login under the manage tab. Check your information and be sure it is all correct.
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, so if you see another email address in the store, then someone has logged in with a different AppleID than yours. Did you let someone else use your iPhone?
