I can't update iPhoto since I upgraded my IOs to IOX Yosemite. Need help !

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using now?
what system version are you running?
what happens when you try to download iPhoto 9.6 from the App Store?

  • I can't update my apps after upgrade to iOS 6...?

I can't update my apps after upgrade to iOS 6

Are you sure you have a proper Internet connection? Make sure your iPod is connected to your computer, and you have an Internet connection.
Don't even get me started on the iPod Touch 5G, I actually own an iPod Touch 4G, and I've considered a lot about if I should get the new one. At first look, you might be sold by the features Apple has on their iPod Touch page. It has a taller screen that's a 4-inch Retina Display, has a much better camera with a flash, and comes with iOS 6 preinstalled with Siri. But the real breakthrough comes with the new connector. It's called Lighting, and it's much smaller. But if you have a dock connector that comes with some cars, and maybe a set of speakers or docking stations as alarm clocks, I encourage you not to get the new one. The usage of your old connectors requires a $30 adapter, which is a ridiculous price. And who knows how secure the adapters will be with your docking stations? I personally think Apple has crossed the line. If they are to put a new connector with their new products, they should ship with an adapter in the box, at least at first. This is why I strongly encourage you NOT to get the new 5th generation iPod Touch.
Sorry if I went a little off-topic there, but I wanted to get my point across. For your updating to iOS 6, I reccommend you check out other discussions in the support comunity, and see what other contributors have to say. Or go on Google and search your error messages, possibly someone might've already went through the same problem as you did. I really hope this helped!

  • Can't update iPhoto since updating to Yosemite

We updated our Mac last night to find this morning I couldn't open IPhoto. I am getting an error saying I need to upgrade to a newer version however when I am directed to the App store. When attempting to install the upgrade I am getting a message "an error occurred during purchase". I cannot get this to update. Any suggestions? thanks!

Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window.

  • I can't delete songs since I upgraded to IOS 7

I tried the swipe right to get the delete button to get rid of some songs on my ipad, but it won't work.  I tried using manual sync on itunes to get rid of some songs, and that didn't work.  I tried using "only sync checked music and videos" and that didn't work.   I don't want to delete them from itunes, as I have them on my ipod.  I"m having a similar problem with movies.   For that, I even tried deleting it from my itunes, and IT STILL IS THERE on my ipad, and I can't delete it in edit mode.   What can I do?

If you have a backup, try this:
    1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content a settings
    2. Set Language; tap arrow on top right
    3. Set Country; tap Next
    4. Enable Location Service; tap Next
    5. Setup WiFi (connect to internet)
    6. Setup as new; tap Next
    7. Sign-in with Apple ID
    8. Agree with Apple Terms and Conditions
    9. Enable iCloud
    10. Enable Find My iPad
    11. Register iPad
    12. Start using iPad

  • Upgraded to Yosemite,  Created new apple ID as couldn't remember last one now can't update iPhoto receive message this update not available for this apple Id either because it was bought by a different user or item refunded or cancelled.

upgraded to Yosemite and now can't update Iphoto or Imovies receiving message this update not available for this apple ID because it was bought by a different user or item refunded or cancelled.  Is there an easy fix

Unfortunately, anything obtained at the app store remains tied to the Apple ID used to obtain it forever. You will either have to start over with your new ID or try to recover the original ID.

  • I downloaded yosemite as the new operating system but I can't find iphotos since then

I restored my mac to factory settings and downloaded yosemite as the new operating system but I can't find iphotos since then. When I go into Icloud it takes me to apple page. PLease help!

1 - you need to update your profile as you state that you have OS X 10.6.3 in it
2 - for Yosemite you need to backup your iPhoto library and install iPhoto 9.6 from the App store - if you are upgrading from iPhoto '08 or earlier you need to also run the iPhoto Library upgrader prior to launching iPhoto 9.6
3 - Your photos are NOT in iCloud - it is not a place to store photos - it is only to move photos between devices (MyPhotoStream) or people (shared PhotoStreams) - they are (by default) in the iphoto library in your pictures folder - if you did not backup your iphoto library prior to erasing you disk then they are gone

  • I recently updated to Mavericks.  I can't update iPhoto.  It states that I need the original apple ID when the computer was purchased?

I can't update iPhoto or iMovie after upgrading to Mavericks.  It stated that the Apple ID and password were not the same that were used to purchase the software?

    The Andyman,
are you the original purchaser of your MacBook Pro? Have you associated your MacBook Pro with the same Apple ID which you’d used to purchase iPhoto and iMovie?

  • Can I update iPhoto from version 8.1.2 to 9 or higher versionfor free?

Can I update iPhoto from version 8.1.2 to 9 or higher versionfor free?

Is your profile signature "Mac OS X (10.6.8)" still current? With that MacOS X version you can upgrade to iPhoto 9.2.x. Only, the iPhoto version 9.5.1 currently sold at the AppStore requires MacOS X 10.9.x. If you you are not running Mavericks, you could try to buy a boxed retail version of iLife '11. That will have a compatible early iPhoto 9.x version.

  • I can't access iPhoto following my upgrade to yosemite

i can't access iPhoto following my upgrade to yosemite

The first thing to do:  Make a backup of your iPhoto Library. Don't update iPhoto without having a backup of your iPhoto library.
When I tried I received the following message This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
This error message means, that you did not yet associate your copy of iPhoto (preinstalled on your Mac) with your AppleID by clicking the "accept" button at AppStore "Purchased" page.
First try to "Accept" iPhoto on the Purchased tab and try, if you then can update iphoto from the Updates tab.
Now check the "Purchased" tab. Is iPhoto among your Purchases to "Accept" or "Install"? Then accept and/or install.
If it is not possible, delete iPhoto from the Applications folder .
    (don't empty the Trash).
If it is not among your Purchases, open the AppStore main tab, search for iPhoto using the Search field, and buy it from the AppStore. If you already owned any version of iPhoto '11, this purchase should be free, from earlier versions it may be a paid upgrade.
If all fails there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

  • Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 on my iPad 3, battery capacity has drained almost 10%/hour without any use of the device. Prior to the upgrade, the battery charge would hold during periods of inactivity. What can I do to solve this significant problem?

Since I upgraded to iOS 7.0.4 on my iPad 3, my battery capacity has drained almost 10% per hour without any use of the device. Prior to the upgrade, the battery charge would hold during periods of inactivity. What can I do to solve this significant problem? Is there a way to uninstall iOS 7.0.4 and return to the previous version?

    Downgrading isn't supported.
You can poke around in the settings. There's a lot of stuff defaulted to on that you may not need, such as notifications.
You can also look into background app refresh and background app updates. They can be running in the background and drain your battery.

  • I have iphoto 7.1.5.  How can I update iphoto without buying ilife, which i don't need?

i have iphoto 7.1.5.  How can I update iphoto without buying ilife, which i don't need?

I'm not sure where you are seeing the "negative reviews" but I like it and many, many people posting here do even though this is a forum for people with problems
No one knows when the next upgrade will be bu tit will require a purchase
I'm sure that there will be a few more updated for iPhoto '11 but probably not many - it has had a lot and is approaching the end of its life cycle I would think
And be sure to have a good backup prior to upgrading (as always) - I suggest in addition to your normal backup routine that you make one more copy of the iPhoto library on your main hard drive if you have space - remember that you need a minimum of 10 GB of free space jus tto run your Mac
And prior to launching iPhoto '11 the first time be sure to run software update and be sure it is up to the latest version

These apps cannot be accepted by your Apple ID.
These apps were already assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in that Apple ID's Purchases list. If you don't have access to that Apple ID and want to receive future updates, you will need to purchase the applications.
please help me to fix this problem
    Thanks
    Krishna.

You need to either delete and buy them, or get whoever holds that Apple ID to tell Apple to release them. On a Mac, deleting the applications won't affect their data, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • I can't update iPhoto, GarageBand nor iMovie, and I can't open iPhoto at all.

I can't update iPhoto, GarageBand nor iMovie, and iPhoto is the only one I can't open at all. I bought my Macbook half a year ago and when I try to update the Apps it says it's being modified and then that there was an error with Apple Store ):

There is an issue with update servers today, so you'll have to wait anyway.

They are updated through the Software Update facility, not the Mac App Store.
    Thanks for popping in....
My iLife apps are all from retail install disks predating Lion/ML; I am running 10.8.4 and as soon as I choose Software Update from the menu, the app store 'Updates" window opens with "checking for updates". I believe that behavior (SU being directed to MAS) was changed with ML?
