I can't update my apple id on my ipod touch
I updated my apple id online but now I do things on my Ipod Touch because it's only allowing me to use the old one. Any ideas?
Head to Settings -> Store and tap Sign Out. Then log in with your new account.

ThanksDid you by change create a new Apple ID vice updating the email address? You have to sign into the account that purchased an app to update an app.

The Apple remote uses IR and the iPod does not have IR capibility. Apple does sell a universal Dock that allow some remote control.

Probably because you have an iPhone 3G and 4.2.1 is the latest update that you can get for that phone - it is too old to support anything further.
If you have an iPhone 4, then connect the phone to iTunes to update it and ensure that you have the latest version of iTunes too. -

You need to buy an upgrade if one is compatible with your Mac model.
PowerPC G3 Macs can only go to 10.4.11.
PowerPC G4 and G5 Macs can only go to 10.5.8.
Macs with a Core Solo or Core Duo CPU can only go to 10.6.8.
Core 2 Duo and better Macs can go to 10.7.5 or 10.8.3 depending on their model. Upgrading to either requires going through 10.6.

I am updating the software on my daughters IPOD touch 4th generation and it is going on 4 hours now. I know this is not normal. What can I do? It synced just fine, but has been stuck on "updating ipod software" for 3 hours now!
She has had it for about 6 months and this is the first time we have plugged it into the computer since then. When you turn on your iDevice for the first time just sign in with the same Apple ID and you can download any apps you have purchased in the past! There shouldn't be a limit to how many devices you can use.
