I Can't Update my Mini! Please help me!
Hi, I recently bought a laptop, so I transferred my Ipod mini and iTunes library to that computer. My brother put a bunch of songs on the iTunes on our desktop pc, so that he could borrow my iPod and listen to his stuff; I can't seem to find a way to put the songs he downloaded on the desktop into my iPod though. I've been trying everything I can think of, I've been trying to add different folders to the library, and I also updated to iTunes 7.0, but nothing is working. I can't find a way to transfer his limewire songs into my itunes either.
How do I put the songs from the desktop into my iPod? Help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have Apple Care, call them and get a case number. Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

iTunes shows the software 1.02 for nano is available. Unfortunately, after I clicked 'install', it shows: The iPod could not be updated. An unknown errer occured (1415).
it's the same situation of 'Restore'.
I restarted Windows, iPod and iTunes, even reinstalled iTunes. But the problem is still here.....
Please, help me...Are you able to sync songs and listen to your iPod without installing the new update? If so forget about the update. If not I would try taking that iPod back to the store and replacing it with another one. Also make sure your windows are up to date with all the files from microsoft.

I can't update iPhone 4 please help!
I bought my iphone 4 over a year ago from EBay. It's locked to 02 network I have never had any problems with it & it works fine but I have never been able to update it to any latest versions. It's just stuck on 4.1 and each time I try to update it on iTunes it does something for ages and then a message comes up saying your device could not be updated. Please note that the phone has never been jailbroken. Anyone who can advise me will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
I've turned them all off the domain firewall, the public and private firewalls. I'm updating it again now I hope it works. I've tried to update the phone every other week and I've had it since January 2011! Anyway thank you for your advice I'll let you know what happens.

I can't update my videos, please help
im having trouble updating my videos to my ipod. Whenever i go to the ipod settings, and i go to videos, it is marked as, "do not update videos" and it is greyed so i cant change it, what should i do?

This is because you are manually updating the music. You need to automatically update music to be able to automatically update videos.

I would suggust:
1 to create a big camera for i pads and ipods and iphones so we can put it in another ipad or ipod or iphone and it has a zoom lens
2 when i downloaded photos and music from a computer to my ipad , i cant delete them now plese do the itunes like samsung becuz samsung have an easier way to download thing from computer

H.MThe iPad 1 can't run the newer operating systems. It'd be like trying to play a bluray disc in your 6 year old dvd player....it simply lacks the hardware to make the software run.
No suggestion about the camera, but given that Apple's attitude seems to be to focus more on the more mobile devices for photography (the iPhone and Touch cameras got features, the iPad and mini didn't), that is highly unlikely. You can tell Apple what you want, but you'd probably be money ahead to get a digital camera.
as to the photos, anything put on via iTunes has to come off via iTunes.Your main alternative would be to look for photo apps that offer file exchange that may give you more functionality. -
I cracked my screen. I want to use other monitor which I had one. I bought an Apple Mini-DP to VGA adapter. It worked. It means I can see ADDITIONAL screen. However I want to use this monitor for the main screen. How can I do?? Please help.
You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the monitor. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the monitor and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the monitor your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.

I downloaded Itunes to my computer today to update my ipod's ios (4.2.1 yes i know im way behind) but when i click check for updates it tells me my ios is the current one. How can i fix this? please help!

You can NOT unlock it. Only the carrier it is locked to can legally authorize unlocking it and the Japanese carriers will not do so.
In order to be using it previously with a non Japanese carrier, the phone had to be hacked to illegally unlock it. You can not get help here.
Buy a new phone you can use. -

I had the same problem but looking at what everyone else said, I simpley slowly started to click on all the tabs in the app store, let them load completely, and then clicked back to the updates afterwards. It worked after a little while

I am 70 Years old and worked very happy with my iMac (21,5“ mid 2010, 3,2 GHz Intel Core 3)
until I updated him from SnowLeopard 10.6.8 to Mavericks 10.9.2.
2 Days all was OK. Next Morning-Start he needs (until now) 3 minutes to show me a SCREEN only milky white. After that he starts like ever with all ICONS in about 1 minute. (together 4 min.)
..But I must notice, that I cannot make anything, because the „BLUETOOTH APPLE WIRELESS KEYBOARD and the APPLE MAGIC MOUSE“ doesn't work anything like before.
I could nothing do, I must drop my APPLE only out.

Yes. You can't update or restore any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim card need not be activated, but it must be valid & present. If you want to update, you need to get a sim card. -

You can only update via the ipod with ios 5 or later.
You need to update via itunes on your computer as always.
