I can't update to iOS 7 with ipsw

Helllo,
I have a white iPad and I'm having trouble trying to update to iOS 7 using a ipsw file with iTunes. I don't want to do it OTA because I want to upgrade to that specific version. I have iOS 5.0.1.
Everytime I try to upgrade I get the 3194 error. I tried reseting the hosts file but I still get it. I also tried running in DFU mode but it gives error 4004 instead.
I also tried Tiny Umbrella, (a program someone suggested to use) But instead I get error 11!
Please help me!
Thank you!

Apple only supports the latest version of iOS available for that device.
As stated above-Apple is not signing earlier versions any longer.
You can not install older versions.

    Hey Kaylamoefoe,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are curious about the compatibility of your iPhone 4s with iOS 7. Good news! The minimum system requirement for iOS 7 is the iPhone 4, so you can definitely update!

I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

    iPod touch (3rd generation)
iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

  • I can't backup my iPad to my computer so I can't update to iOS 5

I have an iPad and I still can't update to iOS 5 since it came out. The original computer that my iPad would sync to is gone and I authorized my new computer but i never checked the music box and video box and app box so it doesn't sync but to back my stuff up to update, I need to sync but when I check the box to sync my music or videos exc.. it says all my music will be deleted and replaced with the music from my library but...there is no music or apps or videos or podcast in my library. and I do not want to lose my music and apps there are a ton of them. Any recommendations into fixing this problem?

Transfer Purchase from the iPad to the computer.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPad name on the left sidebar of iTunes and select Transfer Purchase. That will put all of the iPad purchased content into the iTunes library.

When I tried it said "there was a problem downloading the software for the iPod 'iPod touch 0_o' The requested resource was not found." I looked all around on the internet and Apple website to see if anyone had an answer, but I couldn't find any. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome, thanks for the help!

Disable your antivirus and firewall software. Kaspersky is especially bad about interfering with updates.

can i update my ios software in 3g network not in wi fi

Oops, sorry this is not possible!
Yes, it is very silly but the iPad 1 does not have enough ram to cope with ios 6 or 7. Every other iPad can go upto ios 7 except iPad 1, which stays as ios 5.1.1
I recommend upgrading ur iPad, if u can't afford it maybe then u can always sell your iPad and use that money to buy a new one!!
    Hope it helps,

If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.

    I can't update the iOS 6 to my ibad..what should I do

You will need to connect it to the computer you sync with. When iTunes opens click on the name of your iPad under the DEVICES heading on the left of the screen. Then move right and select the Summary tab and click on Update. It may ask if you want to update prior to getting to the Summary tab, if so click yes.

How can I update my iOS 5 on my iPad 2 ?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

PS - I just sent this to a few of my friends in the big hardware review sites, as well as a few apple execs:
Whats up guys? Its your old buddy dom "battleship mtron author , 9 ssd drives in raid 0" years ago. lol
I wanted to fill you in on a HUGE problem with the new ios 6 update.
My iphone 4 updated without a hitch.
My ipad 3 on the other hand has a HUGE PROBLEM. It is essentially a brick without wifi (since the device relies on wifi for just about every task).
There are currently hundreds of a users within the last 2 hours reporting the same error on the apple discussions site.
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19626235#19626235
    What happens is simple:
    1. Download and install the update on Ipad 3.
    2. Try and connect to your normal wifi connection.
    3. It will connect for a few seconds and than fail stating "no internet connection available"
    4. It is no a brick without wifi accessibility. (unless we revert to ios 5)
I have tried resetting my router. Resetting settings on the ipad. Renewing the ip address both LOCALLY and through the WAN at the cable modem and rebooting all of my networking equipment (ie: router), I even tried doing a complete wipe and re-install of ios 6 fresh. You guys know I am a tech geek from my background and I have tried everything so I just wanted to fill you in on this potential problem for apple.

  • Can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

When building a new app with Adobe DPS to update an existing app, can you update an iOs app and change its platform offering from iPad/iPhone to just iPad?

Vinod is correct in that you can build a new app that's iPad-only, but if you try to submit it as an update to the existing app, Neil is correct--Apple will reject it because it's considered a downgrade. You either need to stick to the universal app and do something like create a single iPhone folio that refers users to the iPad, or you need to submit it as a new app.
