I Can't Update To Quicktime 7.1.3....Please Help.

I have QT 7.0.1 on my Mac now. I tried to use the "Software Updater" on my computer, but when downloading QT 7.1.3 it keeps killing my internet connection, and therefore failing to downlod. Is there ANY other way to do the upgrade without having to download it ? A disc or something ? Thank you for your help in advance !!!!!

You might try the standalone installer here:

it may use a normal download method that doesn't time out. Also, if you're using Safari and it does cut off, I think you can double click on the file that you've got and it should connect and continue the download.
You might read some of the messages on how to remove 7.1.3, it seems to have broken some bits of content. In particular there is a lot of talk about the fact that the Flash support is disabled by default, you'll have to go into system preferences, QuickTime, Advanced, to turn that back on again after the install.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

There is no way to solve it. The iPhone is not supported in Iran; there is no App Store.

C:\WINDOWS\Installer will show .msi files. Right click and go to Properties then Summary will show what application they pertain to.
If you go to Start>Search>For Files or Folders>All files and folders, then type in .msi and do a Search. Then place your mouse pointer on one of these .msi a window will appear showing the info, which maybe easier.
At some point QT was installed on the computer and removed. Old QT .msi installation files were not. This is why you are having a problem.

If you bought extra icloud storage, that is not what the storage that you need to update your phone.
It is talking about storage on the device itself. If you have a 16 gigabyte iPhone, and only have 1 GB available, you will NOT be able to update no matter how much icloud storage space you have.
Check in settings>general>usage
At the top it will say Storage, then show how many GBs are used, and how many are available. You need to have at least 3 GB in available to upgrade.

Yes, in order to do the free up update, you must first purchase the upgrade. Buy iLife 06, and you'll get iPhoto 6, which you then want to update to 6.0.4. You'll also get the latest versions of iMovie, iDVD, iTunes, iWeb, and GarageBand. the iLife Suite is great fun. Check out the iLife suite at http://www.apple.com/ilife/

I had bought a few, then I bought the last song, and now iTunes wont allow me to update my apps, or let me download any other apps because apparently I have $0 on my card; The weird part about that is it let me keep the song, but wont let me get anything else regardless of the charge. I don't have a credit card myself, so I'm really trying to avoid buying another gift card for one 99 cent song. Does anyone know how to get rid of a song from the billing receipt? Last month my brother gave me his old computer, the thing is he is addicted to gaming, he had like 60 of them on the computer. So I deleted all of his files and let my windows 7 reset all the way. But ever since I can't complete my updates anymore, well
they can update but when I (re)start the computer then it starts configuring the updates and just stops at 30% and then says 'Failure configuring' and it restores to the point before the (197) updates, which I have to do every single time when I shut the computer
off. Now an addition to the problem is, I was planning on starting to develop things in Visual Studio, but the program tells me I need a newer version of the Windows 7.
Can anyone help me with this problem?

How can I repair a QuickTime AAC file? Please help!

I'm in desperate need of help. Yesterday I was making an audio recording of a very important conversation using QuickTime 7.6.6 on my MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. When I tried to stop the recording, QuickTime kept recording anyway. Repeated attempts to stop the recording were unsuccessful. I ended up force quitting the app and recovering the 48mb temporary file from /private/var/folders. But, as expected, it is unplayable in every app I've tried. The data is there but, from what I've read on the web, the file is missing the appropriate headers needed for it to play.
So, I've now got a QuickTime .mov file encoded with the AAC codec that I desperately need to repair quickly.
I tried the FCS Maintenance Pack from Digital Rebellion but discovered that it does not support the AAC codec. I also tried Treasured from aeroquartet.com. Treasured indicated that, while it was not able to let me preview (listen) to the file, there was a 95% chance their company could repair it for me for a $79 fee. I'm prepared to go this route, but thought it was worth first asking for some advice here.
Does anyone know how I can repair this file or otherwise listen to the recording I made? Any advice would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

As a shot in the dark, you could try opening it with Audacity. It is very flexible.

If you dont have none option then you must own itunes some money. So you have to enter the payment like a itunes giftcard. you can contact itunes by email by going to expresslane.apple.com

Error 1 or -1 indicates a serious hardware issue.
Take the device to Apple or whomever provides hardware support in your country for evaluation and likely replacement.

Make sure Java is enable in your browser's security settings.
Open Java Preferences (in Utilities folder)
Make sure Web-start applications are enabled.
Drag Java 32-bit to the top of the list.
jnlp isn't an audio file format. It's just a java web-start program (Java Network Launching Protocol).

Try this:

In short:
1) Make sure the iPhone is not connected to USB and, if it is on, turn it off by holding the power button and the home button together(takes about 6 seconds)
2) Once it's completely off, hold down the home button
3) While holding home, connect the USB cable and keep holding home until iTunes recognises the iPhone
It will force the iPhone into recovery mode, then you can connect to iTunes and restore your backup. Bear in mind that it will likely need to be updated to 5.0.1 anyway.

I am facing error when I try to upgrade to IOS 5.
I am upgrading via my Windows PC, iTunes. While downloading and after almost 40% of download complete I receive error that disconnected from server and asking to check my internet connection.
I tried this 5 times over the past month from three different internet connection and was getting same error.
I also tried to just do the download to my PC without installing the update to iPad direct, and it failed too, below the error message.
