I can't upload photos to iPhoto, memory is full??

HELP!!!!   I love photography & I Just shot this beautiful wedding and I'm not able to unload to my iphoto...  I have iphoto (9.4.3) version & mac os x 10.8.5
how can I create different library's  and make sure I dont upload any duplicate photos?  I'd also like to delete all of my kids (1,000's) of icam photo shoots from my computer..

What do you mean that your memory is full?  Macs will use virtual memory on the hard drive is more is needed.  Do you mean that your hard drive is full? How much free space do you have on your HD?  If that's the case you should stop using the Mac immediately and make arraingements to move enought files off of the hard drive so that you can a minimum of 10-15 Gb of free space.
One can move their iPhoto and/or iTunes libraries to an EHD that is formatted OS X Extended (journaled) and run them from there.  That will free up lots of free space so your system and applications will run more efficiently and quickly.

How do I upload photos from IPhoto into my Facebook account?

I am unable to upload photos to Facebook on my iPad Air and my iPhone 5s since I updated my devices to iO/S8. I hope Apple comes up with a fix pretty soon. I love iPhoto and would not like to resort to using something like Amizon Cloud Drive. Not unless I had to because iPhoto is not working with Facebook..

  • Can't upload photos into iphoto from memory card

    Hi there
I have been using iphoto for a while now and have never had any problems before. Today I have tried to upload some photos from my memory card (inserted directly into my macbook).
Iphoto reads the card (all pics come up in iphoto) but the "import selected" and "import all" boxes are greyed out.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks....

Open the memory card on the Desktkop and drag the folder containing the photos to the Desktop.  From there see if you can import them into iPhoto.

  • Can you upload photos that iPhoto "deleted" but are still on camera?

I was in the middle of uploading to iPhoto from my Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 when the camera's battery died. iPhoto said there'd been an interruption, etc. When I went to re-try uploading the photos once the battery was charged, only some of the photos uploaded. Unfortunately I didn't realize this and so when iPhoto asked me if I wanted to delete the photos on the camera, I said yes.
I have looked on the camera and the photos are still there in the same place they always appear when I review them, although some of them have a circle w/ an X through it in the bottom right-hand corner of the image. iPhoto says there are no photos to upload.
I disconnected the camera, turned it off, quit iPhoto, started up the camera, reconnected it; iPhoto started up again, but still says there are no photos to upload. I did not use the camera to delete the images, I only clicked "delete photos" in iPhoto. I have noticed that only clicking "delete photos" in iPhoto means that the images remain in the camera, though perhaps in a different folder. It is only when I actually use the camera to delete the photos that they are truly gone.
Does anyone have suggestions as to how to get these images to upload to iPhoto? Thanks so much.

Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
1 - try image capture (in your applications folder)
2 - mount the camera to the desktop and see if you can download the photos using the finder
3 - if that does not find them then use media recover - http://www.mediarecover.com/ - the trial version will tell you what it can recover before you purchase
4 - in the future it is recommended that you never have iPhoto (or any other computer program) delete your photos - always import your photos (using a card reader is better in many people's opinion) and properly disconnect your camera, test them in iPhoto and then use your camera to format the card hereby deleting the photos and reformatting the card

  • I can't upload photos from iphoto (on my iMac) to facebook. Error message comes up saying 'error occurred with iphoto - try again later'. I've installed the latest software updates but still can't get the photos to upload. Can anyone help please.

Hi, Hope this is in the right place.
I'm trying to upload photos into facebook from my iMac. I've clicked on the upload to facebook icon in iphoto but just get an error message saying 'error occurred with iPhoto - try again later. I've also had problems lately when I click on a photo to open it I just get a grey screen with an exclamation mark. I've downloaded the latest software but nothing seems to work.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks hopefully,

  • Can't upload photos from iphoto 08

now that I have upgraded to 08' when I click to upload a photo and go to my pictures folder, the iphoto library is grayed out where it is not a choice to click on. How do I fix this so I can upload pictures?
    thanks!

Until you upgrade to Leopard your basic work flow will be to export photos to a desktop folder and upload them from there - then trash them from the desktop folder - or to download an export plugin specific to the website you are using if they have provided one

  • How can I upload photos from iPhoto (iOS) to iPhoto (Mac OS) without syncing the libraries?

I want to use my iPad when I travel, download photos from my camera to the iPad, sort out the keepers from the discards, edit a few, then upload to the Mac when I get home. I don't want to keep my entire iPhoto library on my iPad. Just use it for a temporary viewing/holding area while traveling.

  • After upgrading my OS from Snowleopard to Yosemite, I can no longer upload photos from iPhoto to Facebook.

  • How can you upload photos to FaceBook from iPhoto without using the sync where is deleted in iPhoto it will be deleted in FaceBook

How can you upload photos from iPhoto to FaceBook without having the sync where if you delete from iPhoto you delete

I think you have to have the files on your HD. So either put them in iPhoto or copy them to a folder in Finder, and from there you can upload to Facebook.

  • Inserted memory card to upload photos to iPhoto and received this message "no images on memory card meet download conditions".

I've been using my memory card from my Canon camera to upload photos to iPhoto.  No problem.  I attempted to use my daughter's memory card from her Canon camera (different model) and I get a pop up window stating "No images on memory card meet the download conditions."  Can anyone tell me why or what I can do so I can save these photos to my iPhoto?

Well still the best guess is
the best guess is incorrect settings (as far as Mac iPhoto is concerrened) on her Canon Camera
Give image capture (in your application foder) a try and see what it sees
Do yu have a card reader? If so try it and see what the finder sees on the card

  • Whenever I try to upload photos into iPhoto, they load but when importing it just stops a picyure or two into it and then just sits there. I can't stop the import so I have to shut off my camera when it is importing and start again. Help?

Whenever I try to upload photos into iPhoto, they load but when importing it just stops a picture or two into it and then just sits there. I can't stop the import so I have to shut off my camera when it is importing and start again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

As a test  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Tru importing from your camera to it and to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

  • Why can't I upload photos from iPhoto to Facebook any more?

Since I updated to 10.9 I am not able to upload photos from iphoto (v.8.1.2) to facebook.  When I try to upload the "publish" button is not highlighted so I can not click on it.  I used to be able to upload from iphoto all the time.  Is there some setting that I have to change?

Upload directly from iPhoto. Select your photos and then select Share. iPhoto questions are best handled in the iPhoto forum of all places.

What version of iPhoto? How are you trying?
    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
