I can't use AE in OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)

I upgraded today and... I couldn't use AE CC anymore.... Plz help

I get this error message
It's in Finnish but the translation is somewhat "Updates cannot be installed! This bugfix file doesn't match your product. Check the newest available updates on Help section... bla bla blaa"
I have registered and seems like there's problems logging in by using the "desktop launcher"..

Yes. You get a total of two activations, and one can be on one type of system and the other on the other. That's new with Photoshop CC subscriptions; before you could only run the software on either one or the other type of system.

Can I use Messages in OSX to text with a person on an Android platform? My iPhone works cross platform but I don't get the text in Messages on my desktop with OSX 10.8.2

Does "Messages" in OSX 10.8.2 work cross platform? My daughter has an android phone and I can text with her OK in iOS. However, her texts don't show up on OSX whereas texts from my son, who has an iPhone, work in iOS and OSX.

The answer is yes and no.
As Barney-15E link says you can get the Messages app to SMS to AIM Buddies. Or rather telephone Numbers as AIM Buddies.
There are limits.
The computer has to be set as if in the United States (System Preferences > Language and Text > Region)
The phone is question has to be on a carrier that supports AIM SMS forwarding which only applies to some US based carriers.
The reason the SMS Messages arriving on the iPhone do not sync is that they are not iMessages (the "No" Part).
I use Messages with the Buddy List Showing.
As a test I have added a made up number as a Buddy and also created a Address Card for it.
So Mousing over the "Buddy" reveal the "Screen Name" which is the phone Number
You have to include the Leading +1 country code as well.

You can't use Pagemaker in OSX Leopard.

Just an FYI for PM users who want to upgrade to Leopard (10.5 ).
Leopard does not support Classic even if you are running it on a Power PC machine. Since Classic will not run on the Mactels Apple has decided to remove the classic environment from OS 10.5, if you must run PM or any other Classic applications either stick with 10.4.10 or buy a cheap old Mac that will boot up OS 9.2.2.

I have been checking in at least once a week to help out with any PM questions, but so many are about problems with OS systems past 9.22 that I did not respond to those. Also, I have no expertise with problems on Windows systems, just Mac systems as we are mac exclusive in PageMaker, both at work and home. All Mac allthe time!!!
I have also whipped out my tangerine ibook to demonstrate the ease of designing with Pagemaker to a novice who has been struggling with InDesign. They are, of course, impressed. InDesign is fine for folks doing commercial magazine layout or catalogs, but a quicky flyer or a brochure and you are suddenly in design constraints you never dreamed about. I advise these folks to pick up a copy of Pagemaker (with disks and manual) on ebay or sometimes on amazon. There are still folks out there learning the wonders of Pagemaker and needing it to quickly and easily produce small business solutions.
This forum is a great resource to discover fixes or work-arounds that are never documented in Adobe's knowledge base. It would be awful to lose this resource.
I will continue to check in and help out with Pagemaker questions whenever I can give relevant advice on the software or design in general.

How can I use LDAP searching from OSX Lion Server to Mozilla Thunderbird? We have a super awesome contacts server that works great for our Mac users. About 30% of our company are on PCs, and I would like to use the Mozilla Thunderbird mail client for them. I see that in Thunderbird I can set up LDAP searching, and would like to have this feature point to our contacts server. I've tried several different settings, and looked all over the web, but could not find the proper way to configure this. Does anyone know if this can be done, or if not, would have a better suggestion? Thank you for your time!!
