I can't use my media manager

I've tried installing the verizon media manager (vmm) software on my pc several times. I attempted to contact verizon about my issues, but they seemed not to know what the media manager feature was let alone have and solutions on how to fix it. I have also changed different configurations on my computer to see if there were any conflicts i.e. turning off firewall settings and UAC, and deleting real player and quicktime. I'm just getting irritated and I don't know what to do.
The message I get while installing VMM is the media manager installation was interupted before it completed.
I'm wondering if any one knows the solution?

Sorry that I cannot help you, but I just installed it two days ago on my Vista pc. I did not have any problems. Try right clicking on the file and select "Run as Administrator".

Can't speak about avid, since I am not familiar with the software.
You can certainly use FCP X on that machine. It should work better if you use a fast external drive for your media and projects.
There is a free trial, so try it out and see how it goes. You should also follow some good video tutorials, if you are not familiar with the application. FCP X is a lot different from Avid, Premiere or even Final Cut Pro 7.

Only be aware that Nokia video tools only work for videos that are not longer than 35 minutes.
Also the quality is not very good, you can get better results from other encoders.
Lastly they are Really slow compared to other tools available.

As the other posters wrote in order to take a movie file and turn it into a DVD that can be played in standard DVD players you need a DVD authoring application. That you need a separate program to create the DVD is standard procedure and has been that way since the beginning. All Apple produce that can produce video files require an external authoring program. iMovie, iPhoto and Final Cut all do this.
One other thing I will comment on is your choice of output format. You will almost certainly be disappointed with the video quality of your finished DVD if you put a HD video on a SD DVD. Unless you plan to burn a bluray disk you will get a better quality video if you output as SD if you plan to burn to an SD disk.

Using the media manager

Hi I have been given avi files for editing whilst the original video was shot in dvc pro.Will I benefit from quality if I convert all avi files to dv pal or any other format in the media manager?or will the quality stay the same since I am converting from avi?
The problem is that I ve been given the files in avi and although I have the dvc pro tapes,I have no player to import these on better quality to my mac.
Whats the best thing I can do with the avi files so as to get the best quality possible for editing on final cut?

FCP will support the AVI files you have, however they won't give you as much real time playback of effects that you could have if you converted them to QT movies using Apple's DV PAL codec. As far as the quality goes, it will be much the same I'd think.

I recently downloaded the VCast Media Manager but have been unable to transfer any media from my computer or from my Thunderbolt. I tried signing in to VCast Media Manager on my phone and received an error message:

Can't use Adobe Extension Manager to Install Photoshop plug-in

I am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator—and I've tried every way I can think of to do that.
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.
What's going on? What am I missing? Please help if you can. Thanks!

Using Roxio Media Manager in standalone mode

I have installed Media Manager with RIM's Desktop Manager, but I only have use for Roxio Media Manager.
Is there's a way to just install Media Manager ?
Alternatively is it possible to launch Media Manager individually without having to go through the Desktop Manager launcher ?
Alternatively is it possible to have Desktop Manager automatically launch Media Manager (via a command line) ?

I just switched from a PC to a Mac and use the Office Suite for work, so I installed the Office 2011 for Mac. We use Business Contact Manager to manage our contacts and conversations at work (mostly for records of email exchanges and phone conversations), but I can't seem to figure out a way to install that add-on in the Mac version of the Office Suite. Why would you use two?
It is much cheaper and better to simply use a usb drive..
The TC cannot be linked to store files or automatically back them up.. whereas a usb drive at least will be backed up by Time Machine.
If you want to do this properly get a real NAS.. that has mirrored drives and real rsync type backup. You can use an airport extreme for wireless.

Are you sure, you installed the proper media management software? Check it:
(1) cd to your $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory
(2) Type sbttest test
The sbttest is a standalone program which test to see if the MML(Media
Management Layer) software is installed and can accept a data stream and return
an identical data stream.
sbttest will return 0 which indicates success or 1 which indicates an error has
occurred. An error means it's not an Oracle problem.

Today I got my M40X and i have a question.
There are 5 media Button left of the keybord (CD/DVD, Play/pause, Stop, <-/->)
Is it possible to use them with WinAmp?
In the Toshiba Assist i got the CD/DVD button used to start WinAmp (by use him to start a .exe) but the Play/pause...dont work. In the field media Apps the only Player i can choose is Win MP10 (I hate this piece of sh*t).
How can I use these Button with WinAmp?

I Use DW Site manager to upload files to the site.
Unfortunately - DW code view is really laggy recently and it's really hard to work with.
I wonder whether I can use Edge code on a live site so I can upload my files to an online site like I do with DW site manager.

There's no integration between the 2 programs, but you should be able to use them at the same time. Be careful to:
1. Save all of your files in EC before jumping to DW to use FTP
2. Don't edit any files in a EC that are being FTPed by DW
