I would like to ask why I can't use mt cam to chat?
I have the Cam Icon. but i can't press it.

Hi,
If you have a Jabber ID Buddy list such as a Googletalk ID as your Buddy list and your Buddies are on PCs you cannot Video or Audio chat to them.
However check these settings first.
In the Video menu (the one to the right of Buddies and may be listed as Audio) is Camera Enabled ticked ?
Selecting it toggles the tick (and the Camera) On and Off
In the View Menu it is the same for the Show Video Status.
This makes the little green icon next your Buddy pic and some of your Buddies appear
Same for the Audio option.
Buddies without the green icons cannot Video chat.

The Hero 2 will also nest folders in the DCIM folder and the camera connection kit will read the files in them. Another option to viewing your videos in HD would be to use an app that can play H.264 video, where you will drag and drop the videos in to the iTunes File Sharing under the Apps tab.
If you've never used the File Sharing, simply keep you iPad docked to your computer, select your device, tap on the Apps tab, scroll down past the screen shot of your iPad's home page to File Sharing. In there scroll to the app you're going to share with and tap on it to select it. Then from your computer or straight from your GoPro, select the video(s) and drag them over to iTunes and drop them into the area under Document and you should see the files transfer to the app. When the transfer is done you should be able to see them play in a video app that can play H.264 video, I know the Flex:Player app is one of them. VLC will play 1080p, but not very well.

THE use of the apple support is a mess also.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

People report it is still possible to use a wired USB keyboard with the CCK, if you use a powered USB hub to get around the "not enough power" error message. (I have done this with an older Apple USB keyboard my non-jailbroken iPad1 on iOS 4.3.3.) Normally, powered USB hubs have a AC power adapter so you lose portability unless you can find a battery powered USB hub. At this point, the (in)convinience of the USB hub becomes an issue, depending on what you get.
And wired USB keyboard were never supported for the iPad. So there's no guarantee that it will continue to work with future iPad updates from Apple. So best to go with a Bluetooth keyboard unless you have a specific USB keyboard that you "must" use. If you have all the equipment already, I say give it a try. But I would not recommend trying a USB keyboard if you have to purchase anything.

I'm having same problems. If I connect my blackberry it says it uses too much power. If I take sd card out of phone and connect that way I get the same message. The leaflet with the connector says go to Apple.com/support/iPad to find list of compatible cameras.......... I'm still trawling the site to find any such list! Just need to know if it will work with a blackberry ..... If not I've got to take it back. Have been advised by a friend to cut my losses get my money back and use Bump to transfer my pics. Blackboard Collaborate claims it is compatible with Safari 5.1 or later and Mountain Lion, or latest Firefox. When I went to their support page, it borked and said my operating system was not compatible. It also then checked and reported that I had Java Webstart 1.6 installed.
Looks like a real pain of proprietary stuff. Probably wants to use Java to take over the camera.

The CCK will find/ask to download (if iPad supported formate )picture and video files if the device is formated in FAT 16 or 32 and the supported files are placed in a "DCIM" folder in the root directory. I have transfered such files from SD card and USB drives. However, not USB drive work. I had an old 2GB (very large) and when i connected it it said it drew too much power.
I also downloaded pictures and video files from a compact flash card and smart media card via a SanDisk USB card reader.

After downloading OSX 10.8.5 I can´t use the camera with Skype.

After installing OSX 10.8.5 I can´t use the camera with Skype. Incoming video works just fine. Problem is my camera doesn´t turn on automaticly and all camera text in Skype menus are greyed out. Camera still works with facetime and photoboth and so on, so no problem with the actual camera.
Please help, Im in Kabul Afghanistan, I have my support in Sweden!

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

Not the best idea, it'll overheat and could damage either the ipad or the charger. The iPad will be attempting to draw more wattage then the little charger is designed to put out.

When you enable Internet Sharing in OS X, you are creating a separate sub-net.
There is no option to allow this to be a simple pass-through from Ethernet to AirPort (or the other way).
The problem is easily solved by getting an inexpensive wireless router. You can replace your current router OR disable the DHCP server on the wireless router and allow the wireless clients to get an IP address from the current router.
