I can't view a very important file on neither of my devices

I had never had a problem with Acrobat.com before. I modified a very important file on June 6th and saved to my Acrobat.com For the past week, I haven't been able to open up the file from either of my devices. Theres no preview available and it tells me the to download so I can view but it won't allow me to download. Its in PDF format and its 6.0 MB. I tried accessing from my Galaxy Note 10.1, Note 3 and my laptop and it won't allow. This file has changes necessary for work and I am really frustrated to have trusted Acrobat.com.

I'm so sorry that you've been unable to access that important file. Are you receiving any error message when you try to download it? If so, what is the error?
Are you able to download other files? For starters, please clear the browser cache, and then log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. You may also want to try downloading it via Adobe Reader by choosing File > Open from Acrobat.com.

I have a Nikon D50 nef on my desktop. Double-clicking on it opens Photoshop, which launches Adobe Camera Raw. If you get that far and can make adjustments in the ACR panel, you are fine. That's what opens first.
Then you click "Open" in ACR and your nef opens in Photoshop and the document tab on top gives the .nef extension. You make your edits there, but if you close Photoshop, you won't save it as nef, it won't be in the Save file list. You save it as psd for example and close Photoshop.
You now have a nef with develop settings on your desktop and the psd you saved out of Photoshop.
All perfectly normal as J.J. said, Photoshop will edit the nef file, but it will be saved in a format other than nef.

How can I view my 6D raw files after I load them on my computer & before I open them on a post processing Program?
I have no problem doing that with my 1DX,1DIV or 5Dmk III. This problem exist with any sdhc card I use on the 6D, but not on any other camera with the same cards.

Your computer doesn't have camera RAW support installed for a 6D. RAW isn't really a standard-format... it's more of a concept. Every individual camera has it's own unique RAW format (even though they all have the same .CR2 extension).
Each time a new camera comes out, companies that make RAW processing software will make an update available that adds that camera. You'll need to get that update and install it.

Can't view thumbnails of tif files...

Bridge CS4 was working fine before I installed a new OCR software program. Now I can't view any thumbnails of files saved with a tif or tiff extensions. I checked the file type and it is associated with Photoshop CS4, not sure what has happened or how to fix it.
Any help would be appreciated...

Not a computer geek, but this shot tells me the file is not a tif but an omniPage file.
I googled omnipage and came up with this. Hope it is helpful and you have not already been there, done that.
Looks like this is for XP, but if you have Vista procedure should be similar.

You are trying to open a Pages 5 file with Pages '09.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.

Can't view Sony RAW (.ARW) file in Adobe Bridge

Hi all,
Need some assistance here.
I'm currently using Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Bridge.
I've installed the Adobe Camera Raw update version 4.6.
With this, I'm able to do the relevant editing with the Sony Alfa raw files (.ARW) in Camera Raw.
But the funny thing is, when using adobe bridge I can't view the thumbnails as I view it in camera raw / photoshop.
The thumbnails is "blank". This only happens on .ARW files. I'm able to view jpeg files in thumbnail.
When I check the camera raw preferences in adobe bridge, it shows me it's 4.6.
I'm currently using Mac OS X (Leopard).
Do any of you faced this before?
Hope that any of you could shed a light on this matter.

are windows related or full of arguments. I'm guessing there may not be a solution to this problem so I'm curious what approach you're taking.

I can't view video on my imported clips on FCPX, it shows blue instead of image on the clip. I can hear sound but no video. What is the problem. I wish someone can help me on this issue? Thanks.

The camera is Sony Handycam HDR-CX550. I used the internal hard disc to record. I can's use MTS clips if it is recorded on the internal hard disc. I converted clips into MOV, MP4, and Final Cut formats, non of them worked on Final Cut Pro X. I tried to import the same clips on iMovie, it worked but super slow. MOV and MP4 formats used to work for FCPX, the only difference is I recorded the footage with HD 1920x1080.
The clip I imported showed as a blue thing with two rectagle shapes on it. I can hear the sound, but no video. I also imported my old clips with sam format, it worked. I tried a lot of things, no use.
By the way, what is spwecs?

Can't View or save pdf files

Since this morning I can no longer view or save files on the website where I had no probs in the past. When I try to save I get the message "The File is Not valid", so it's not surprising can't view or save. I contacted the site & they tell me all works fine. Why should the file names change such that they can no longer work with Adobe reader?   The only changes are that I received a windows update (I am running Vista Home Basic) and I installed a new printer/scanner/copier (Epson NX130). Any suggestions please?

Thanks for taking the trouble to look at my problem, Michael.   I don't know to post a link to a file.
The files I want to view and save are located on the separate websites of 2 different share registries.   I used to be able to do this, but now can't.   When I try to "Save As ....." I can't because the files show up as a non-pdf file, a specific example of such a filename is: "PaymentAdvice?Paymentkey=AGKHAINTJUN12,109011151746,1,1".   I rang both of the 2 share registries who confirmed that I should not have the problem I am experiencing.
Looking at other threads, some folk have got things to work when the went back to Adobe 9 instead of 10. Any thoughts?

How can I back up my important files when I can't sign in due to disk utility?

I've made a big mistake of putting off the start up disk full. Now it's bit me in the foot and I don't want to restart my whole mac when I know there is important items to be backed up. Can I somehow access my user files before repairing/erasing the disk.

I see. That sounds as if the internal HD can't be accessed at all, & you were automatically started in Recovery mode.
You're unable to mount (select it; Right click - Mount) then use verify/repair ?
fsck in Single User mode, occasionally seems to work where DU doesn't :

Where can I view my iCloud-stored files???

Hi,
I've only recently started using iCloud to store Pages and Keynote files.
I have, by now, saved about 5 files (3 pages, 2 keynote) in iCloud.
Since I can't seem to find these files anywhere in Finder, I was wondering if there's a specific folder to look for when trying to open files on iCloud.
Or do I always need to open the specific app (pages or keynote) first, and then select the file I want to open?
Also I noticed the Preview app has a "iCloud" tab. But when I click that, none of the 5 files I have stored in iCloud appear.
Is this normal? If so, what is this "iCloud" tab in Preview used for?

How can I make Photoshop Elements import files after it gives incorrect error code?

I had 17,000 photos on my hard drive well organized in folders before installing Photoshop Elements 11 today. I was able to get it to import only 467 into the catalog. I tried browsing, searching, selecting files and no matter what I did to bring inthe remainders (including trying to bring in folders with only 60-80 in each, moving files into new folders, etc.) and still can't see them in the organizer view. It allows me to highlight the folders or highlight the photo jpg files separately, says it is getting media, but then comes back with message that "files are not in correct format or are in the catalog" but they ARE in normal format jpeg, can view in other programs, and they are NOT visible in the catalog. Very frustrating, especially after wasting hours downloading the program from Amazon Marketplace - took hours, then had errors and had to redo twice. Running WIN 7 on 6 month old Sony computer with 8 GB RAM and quad processors. Thanks for any help.

You should try posting in the PhotoShop Elements forum, especially if no one else here has a better suggestion to offer. It is possible someone else has encountered the same problem and you could search there to see. If you post there and you do have an error message, you should include the details of that error message.

[SOLVED] Can't view ps or eps files in geeqie/evince anymore

I swear I was previously able to view eps files in geeqie. I no longer can for some reason. I'm using gnuplot and have this sample code I found (just to make sure it wasn't my actual code):

I end up with a 20.1 kb file. When opening in geeqie, I get this broken image:
In trying evince-gtk, I get:
File type EPS image (image/x-eps) is not supported
I also tried feh but get:
feh WARNING: ./example.eps - No Imlib2 loader for that file format
If I import it into gimp, I get the correct image, which should look like this.
In looking around, I found another post like this problem, but that ended up being solved by installing gsfonts. I have gsfonts and ghostscript installed.
Any thoughts?

Ok. I think part of this was due to my memory, and another part due to some optional dependencies...
-- First: I think geeqie may never have been able to open eps and that this was in my head
-- Second: I installed the regular arch package 'evince' and it worked to open .eps files. In looking at the PKGBUILD for evince-gtk, I noticed djvulibre and libspectre as optional dependencies. Installing them after evince-gtk was already built from AUR and installed does nothing. Installing them before so that it gets built against them does work. For .eps support, it appears to come down to libspectre. Install that, then evince-gtk, and it works.

How can I view my Creative Cloud Files on my iOS device?

Hi All, I recently turned on file sync in my Creative Cloud app, and like the WEB UI overall. I'm considering permanently switching to CC from Dropbox. The one thing I can't seem to find is a CC iOS application. Are we seriously expected to browse our files via mobile device on a browser? There is no app?

You can preview many creative file types directly in a web browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Edit: I just tried using the file explorer via Safari and Chrome on my iPhone 5s and the scrolling is completely broken, I can only see the first few folders, and am unable to scroll down for the rest.

How can i retrieve a few important files from an old time capsule ?

Hi can anyone give me a step by step guide as to how i retrieve just a few files from an old time capsule ?
without a router ?
I've plugged an ethernet cable into the wan port & my mac & it shows up as a sparspsebundle data file
but i desperetly need to grab these certain files

Don't panic we are working on it..
I am just avoiding Yosemite like the plague.. (plague on you Yosemite!!) .. as its networking is so bad it causes chaos on my network.. to all other devices.. even though only one device actually runs Yoyos!!
I am not sure how hard it is for you to go back to Mountain Lion.. or if you have a computer running ML on the network.. if so definitely use it.
What OS was last used by the MBP when you stopped using it or is it fully up to date. Is the computer in the network now? If so it is much easier to copy and paste the files from a live computer.
Did you encrypt the backup.. that would really mess things up or have an encrypted disk??
Have you used the normal TM tool in Yosemite to try and recover your files?? Or perhaps migrated the files.. this can work fine.. migration often being a better way of doing things.. although there are a few rules about using different user names.. etc.
There is another proviso here I must add.. Yosemite cannot see the backup quickly.. what I mean is that your backup is >500GB. Even by ethernet Yosemite version Time Machine can take more than 24hours just to index that.. maybe longer and by wireless a lot longer.. 3-5 times.. I do not know why spotlight is so slow in Yosemite.. but trust me.. it is pathetic. The yoyo got its string in a knot and seems to need to untangle it for every single file on the backup.
Be very patient if you open TM backup in Yosemite.. and definitely do this by ethernet not wireless.. otherwise you might die of old age beforehand.

How can i view all the missing files in elements 12?

I have a very large catalog and there are now a few hundred files missing due to me moving or deleting them outside of elements.
Is there a way to display only the missing files in elements so i can work through them and decide to search for them manually or delete them from my catalog?

If you are in Elements Organizer12, go to Find > All Missing Files
It will show all the missing files present in your catalog.
