I can't view any of my scripts in Greasemonkey. [SOLVED]

Whenever I select Manage User Scripts, it doesn't show any of my scripts, and 1 or 2 of them don't work now. I've checked for updates, and uninstalled/reinstalled firefox, and restarted my computer, and nothing has changed. Soon before this problem started, I couldn't edit any of my scripts either. The standard editor that came with firefox wasn't there, and I had to choose notepad.

I have the same problem, but your solution doesn't work for me.
I have checked the option "uninstall associated preferences", then uninstalled Greasemonkey. Then reinstalled.
Nothing changes: I still have a totally empty Window when choosing "Manage userscripts..."
so its [UNSOLVED]

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Reader can't view any PDFs

I'm not sure what changed or how but I'm suddenly having trouble with Adobe Reader 8. When I try to view any PDF file, online or on my computer, I get a message that says "There is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. Please exit acrobat/reader and try again." I don't have acrobat so it can't be some kind of conflict. I tried to update reader to reader 9 but at the end of the installation I get the message "The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running windows safe mode, or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance." I'm definitely not in safe mode so I tried removing reader 8 through the control panel and I get the same message.
I've tried making sure that reader is the default PDF program but it is not on the list availible to select. When I try to browse and select the AcroRd32 file (which I think is the .exe) nothing changes. I still can't view any PDFs and I'm stuck with the same errors. Anyone got any advice?

Depending on your version of Windows, try to (re)install the latest version of Windows Installer

Thanks, Eric. I'm not sure what I should be checking using your suggestion--as I said, I'm an utter novice with the iMac. However, I saw a reference to problems with the Library entries, so I checked mine and the iWork files were missing, something confirmed when I checked the crash log. In desperation, I did another software update, and that seems to have fixed the problem completely. Now wondering if I dare upgrade to Lion!

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do you have a backup copy of your iPhoto 6 library folder? Also do you get an "!" in the window when you try to view the photo in the edit mode? If you do then iPHoto has lost the link to the files. Try rebuilding the library as follows: launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
If that doesn't resurrect the library you'll have to start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from the old library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I can't view any pictures on facebook since last night. FF put some pop-up message about it, but I didn't read it properly because I was on the phone. I just want to see my friends picstures but can't now.

I am not sure what the Firefox message said last night when I was looking at pictures on facebook. It was something about viewing images. Now I can't view any - except I can see the thumbnails - but not the singular image. I can't seem to find anything in the Firefox settings about this.

Since updating to ios6 I can't view any music on my iPhone. Previously i had all music library matched and could view everything on my phone as could my husband on his iPhone. My husbands still able to view music since upgrading to io6 but I can't. I have an iPhone 4 and he has an iPhone 4S. It originally showed the artists and showed songs but there were no album names or track names and the length of each song was 0:00. Now there is nothing at all showing and no playlists. All my music and playlists are on iTunes. Please help!

I had the same problem. Could not connect my iPad (3/new) to the personal hotspot from my iphone4. Bothe are running ios6.
I don't know if this will permanently fix your problem but it seemed to work for me.
First, restart both (iPhone and iPad).
Then, on the iPad go to settings - general - Siri, and turn Siri off.
Now turn on hotspot on your phone and connect your iPad.
Hopefully this helped.

Can not view any Facebook site any ideas?

My Galaxy S4 will not allow me to view any Facebook site. I have tried using Wi-Fi and data without any luck.
I have done restarts, virus scans and tried several ways to view a Facebook site. I go to those that I have bookmarked and tried a search for the site and then try to click into it and still cannot connect. I have also gone to several locations that have Wi-Fi in case it was just my home system.
I get a notice of a server error. My wife has the same phone bought at the same time and has not had trouble with this issue even for the same Facebook sites. My phone seems more glitchy that my wife's. At times I can't get the keyboard to go off the screen unless I restart the phone.

It is working again. I was using the internet explorer app to view the Facebook sites. I do not have a Facebook site so I was not using their app. I downloaded Firefox app and that allows me to view the Facebook sites I visit.
I do not know why I can not use internet explorer as the settings are the same as my wife's phone and she can view them.
I tried the battery trick and that did not work and I also cleared the history and cache on ie.

Can't view ANY photos...camera roll or otherwise

My wife's iphone had firmware 2.2.1 . She had 300 + pics on her camera roll. She downloaded some sort of Photo Edit application from the app store for $1.99 or so. After she installed this application, the phone would no longer allow her to view her camera roll. When I click on "Camera Roll" under "Photos", all of the pictures are solid white. I tried deleting the app which she purchased and restarting the phone. That did not work. Next, I upgraded her firmware to 3.0 and then restarted her iphone. Now, when viewing "Camera Roll", the entire screen is black and she also cannot view many pictures on "Facebook", etc. I'm looking for a way (if there is one) to save her camera roll pictures. I only want to restore her phone if it is absolutely necessary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It would appear to me this application is what started the problem. Have you tried to delete that application and see if things work? Also, if you are taking that many photos in the camera roll and are not downloading them periodically to the computer, and pardon me for being frank, you are inviting problems. The iPhone, like any computer device can have problems and you could lose all those photos. The only way to ensure backing the photos up is to download them to the computer. Try removing the application and see what happens. You can then try a reset on the phone by holding the home button and the sleep/wake button until you see the apple logo and release the buttons. Ignore the slider when it appears. The reset will not effect any data. Hope that helps you.

Download the Flash player disk image and mount it by double-clicking the icon. Once the disk image is mounted, double click on the installation package. Be sure and restart your browser(s) before you try to view a YouTube video.

I can't view any Quicktime movies from a drive that was uploaded by a Mac

I have a drive with approx 250 GBs of Quicktime movies that I need to edit. The movies were uploaded onto the drive by a Mac running Quicktime 7.1.3 Pro. This is the same version of Quicktime I am running. When I try to view the movies or import them in AVID Liquid or Express Pro, I can hear the audio, but the screen remains black. I have tried to convert the files in AVIs, MPEGs, and AVID files to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? What seems so strange to me is that I can't even view them.
BYW: I am able to access the contents of the drive because I am running Mac Drive.

Pick one of the files and open it using QuickTime Player. Open the Movie Info window (Control-i) and note the video codec used.
Not all codecs are compatible with Mac's and PC's. If it was rendered using a Mac only video codec you'll need to have the Mac export the files again using a cross platform codec.

I wanted to put my photos from my iphone to itunes and realized my photo stream wasn't turned on nor was icloud on my cpu. So after fixing that, i still can not view any pictures on my itunes that are from my iphone.

Not only that but now that photo stream is turned on, it shows 3 photo stream albums, 1 called my photo stream that i made from my cpu,1 photo library, and 1 called photo stream. when i turn it off, it just deletes the photo stream album and leaves the others. what do i need to do to do this right? i just want what's necessary and to be able to view my photos on itunes or wherever it's suppose to be because i have way too many photos on my phone that i want to take off.

Photostream will only work with photos newly taken on your iPhone. It will not work with photos already on your iPhone. The idea of Photostream is to allow you to take a photo(s) on your iPhone and a copy will be extended to the Photostream album on the iphone as well as other devices(with Photostream turned on) and your PC (with icloud control panel installed and photostream turned on) so that you can copy those files into your local folder.
If you want to transfer old photos from your iPhone, connect it to your PC and there will be an AUTOPLAY popup window for you to select to import pictures to your local folder.
If the Autoplay window dose not showup, you can go to windows explorer to look for your iPhone and right click to select import pictures:

Can not view any videos on firefox.

Anytime I want to view a video from within Firefox (YouTube or other) I am not able to view it. With YouTube I get the message "Error occurred. Please try again later." Other videos just give a blank page.
I checked my plugins, they are all up to date. I am using Firefox version 13.0.1. I don't have this problem when I use other browsers such as IE. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically I had to uninstall my Real Player (I still do have Quick Time installed though).
After uninstalling Real Player all my videos (YouTube and others) started playing OK.
