I can't zoom with finger pinch( 2 fingers)

I can't zoom with finger pinch( 2 fingers) in photos, safari and google maps on iphone 4s...
Does anyone have any idea what may be the problem?

I HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM FINALLY!!!
Somehow I knew that this was a software problem so I tried to find a solution by deleting the apps one by one... the problem was caused by an app called QuickDo, after I've deleted QuickDo everything was fine. The strangest thing is that I've been using QuickDo for 3 months and everything was working perfectly, until sudenly this problem occurred...

    Help please!!!
    can't zoom with trackpad in safari how can i solve that?

    There are two places on settings where you can tunr zoom on or off for the trackpad.
    They both need to be on for it to work.
    The first is under: system preferences>trackpad>scroll & zoom, then you just need to chekc the box to turn zoom on. ( this is the one you already have checked i think)
    The second is under: system preferences>universal access>seeing, then check the box that says zoom.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I disable two finger pinch on iPad?

    Hi!
    I'm trying to create a lab station where students will interact with a Keynote or PowerPoint presentation. However, I am running into problems trying to disable or lock certain actions so the students can't leave the presentation or program.
    While in these programs, even if the students are locked into it, they still have the ability to exit the presentation or to minimize it. Since we the lab station won't have employee supervision, we won't be able to check on it frequently to make sure it is still set up correctly.
    Is there a certain way to disable the "two finger pinch" touch screen command, or maybe another app that will allow us to have students to interact with pictures and slides. The requirements for this is that the iPad has to be independent of other computers, as well as being off a network.
    We were pointed to Deep Freeze as a possible solution, but as far as we can tell, all that the program will do is create revertible snapshots of the hard drive, and not actually stop certain functions.
    We tried to disable Multitasking Gestures, as well as turning on Guided Access, but neither of those options have helped.
    Thank you for any support!

    You can use a CHANGE event handler function to set the enabled property of the nonselected checkboxes to false.
    cb1.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, handleCBs);
    cb2.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, handleCBs);
    cb3.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, handleCBs);
    function handleCBs(evt:Event):void {
         // change the status of all
         for (var i:int = 1; i<4; i++){
              this["cb"+String(i)].enabled = !this["cb"+String(i)].enabled;
         // enabled the selected checkbox
         evt.currentTarget.enabled = true;
    That example will toggle the checkboxes from enabled to disabled and back again, so if one was to uncheck a checkbox, the rest would be enabled again.
    Have you considered using radio buttons instead? They will only allow one selection at a time.

  • Can I zoom in with camera? Why do I get red dot when camera turned on?

    Can I zoom with camera on I pad? Why do I get red dot sometimes, when camera turned on?

    The red dot usually means it's in video mode and that red dot is a simulation of a normal video camera's red record button. If you are on photo mode you can zoom in by putting 2 fingers on the screen and spreading htem out (just like you'd zoom on a website)
    but it's a digital zoom, not an optical zoom...so it's really the same as zooming in on the finished photo. Your image will be lower quality if you zoom in. (the iPad camera is mediocre at best to begin with)

  • Two-finger pinch zoom not working with safari

    Suddenly, the two-finger pinch to zoom is not working with Safari. MBP 13", SL 10.6.8 andf Safari 5.1. The View Menu Zoom control works fine, and the Pinch gesture works once thereafter, but then not. I have reloaded the Safari .plist. Gesture works with the Desktop icons and iPhoto. Any suggestions?
    TIA

    Ditto with the Newsstand-blocks-the-Home-Screen bug.
    I was eager to see the revised New York Times layout and disappointed when Newsstand wouldn't pinch closed.
    The irony is, we can finally "hide" the Newsstand in a folder but now it takes over our Home Screens. I'm hoping this will be fixed in the first update.

  • Can I zoom in: like with an IPhone (degeneration of the macula) is my problem.

    Hi,
    Is it possibe to zoom in, with IPod-Touch, like: IMac, IPhone or IPad?
    I need the magnification due to my eyes macula-degeneration.
    Thanx

    Yes.  You can place two fingers on the screen and then spperate to Zoom the screen manually.  You can also turn on the Zoom  and Large Text Accessibilty feature. The following is from the Users Guide.
    Zoom
    Many iPod touch apps let you zoom in or out on specific elements. For example, you can
    double-tap or use the pinch gesture to expand webpage columns in Safari.
    Zoom is also a special accessibility feature that lets you magnify the entire screen of any app
    you’re using, to help you see what’s on the display.
    While using Zoom with an Apple Wireless Keyboard (see “Using an Apple Wireless Keyboard” on
    page 25), the screen image follows the insertion point, keeping it in the center of the display.
    Turn Zoom on or off:  Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom. Or, use Triple-click Home.
    See “Triple-click Home” on page 129.
    Note:  You can’t use VoiceOver and Zoom at the same time.

    Chapter 30    Accessibility
    Zoom in or out Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified
    200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-
    and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to
    that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
    Increase magnification With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to
    increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease
    magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except
    you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on
    the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger.
    Move around the screen When zoomed in, drag or flick the screen with three fingers. Once you start
    dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of
    the screen. Hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that
    side of the screen image. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more
    quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom always goes to the top-middle
    of the screen.
    Large Text
    Large Text lets you make the text larger in alerts, and in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages,
    and Notes.
    Set the text size:  Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Large Text.

  • Magic Track Pad with Lion 10.7 and Safari zoom aA vs Pinch to zoom

    Hi,
    I enjoy a Mac Mini (early 2009) hooked to a 50 inch plasma and surf from my couch, stream etc... We browse with Safari 5.X and enjoyed the new Magic Track Pad with Snow Leopard. You could zoom / scale Safari with Snow Leopard beautifully, with a pinch out on the trackpad, same function as aA option on the browser task bar.
    Now with Lion, the pinch to zoom feature zooms but doesn't scale the safari window the same way aA option used to.  In lion a pinch out to zoom in will push a significant part of the browser screen off / out of view.
    The aA option on the safari task bar scales the window, and keeps everything visible but larger, but now in Lion it is not available from the Magic Track Pad Gestures. The Button is still there on the browser but there is no option to access it from the track pad with a gesture.
    How can I revert to the old way of zooming / Scaling a Safari web page with my Magic track pad in Lion?
    Thanks,
    H

    You can see in that screenshot that a lot of browser.gesture.pinch prefs have an empty string as their value and thus won't have any effect.
    You can restore some zoom feature by modifying the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page via the right-click context menu.
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
    * browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    You may want to toggle this pref (I don't know what effect this has):
    * browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>

  • Vertical Pinch Zoom with Logic 9 & Lion

    Trying to figure out an easy way to do a vertical zoom in Logic 9 and Lion
    Back in the old days (last week) when I used logic 8 and lepoard, it was easy with cntl up/dn (or something like that, my fingers know the routine)
    The pinch work fine for horizontal zoom with the new setup, but how do I do a vertical zoom?  (The old cntl/up thing doesnt seem to work any longer.)
    Thanks!
    Geoff

    Greetings,
    So far, everything seems as stable as before.  Which doesn't actually mean its rock solid, but otherwise workable.  I'm running a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24DSP with beta audio drivers.  So far, everything is running well.  I decided to jump into the 64bit work environment with Logic.  I have yet to encounter huge problems with the 32bit audio bridge.  Just making sure I bounce everything that is 32bit.
    As for everything else within Logic, I can't say I hate Lion.  Matter of fact, Lion seems buggier than Logic at the moment.  Logic handles well in Lion, but Lion on its own overall is a different can of worms.  I am mixed about a 10.7.1 update.  Usually, it fixes something on the OS, but breaks something else in Logic.
    I have faith that Lion will turn out to be as solid as Snow Leopard.  SL was my favorite OSX so far.  Lion still leaves allot to be desired in terms of stability.
    Again, answer to your question:  for me, Logic and Lion play nice.............for now.
    LGK

  • Finger pinch zoom in/out no longer works

    Using the iphone 4 (brand new), suddenly the 'finger pinch' no longer zooms the screen's image in/out. Did I inadvertently lock a setting?
    Your help is GREATLY appreciated?

    I thought I had the same problem, but mine's a bit different. But I've came across a few solutions here on other other discussions. You can try here...

    And of course, if nothing works, there's always a trusted apple store around the corner! Good luck!

  • Lion / Safari 5.1 has issues with the pinch/zoom (embedded links don't zoom correctly)

    Ever since upgrading to Lion Safari 5.1 has issues with the pinch/zoom.  Any embedded link does not zoom in proportion to the surrounding page and it makes it unusable. (the embedded link zooms much more).  Any ideas?  This makes safari almost unusable for many webpages.
    Is there a fix to this?  Or can I consider uninstalling 5.1 and rolling Safari back to 5.05?  Not sure if this is a Lion issue or a Safari issue.  Everything worked great prior to Lion.
    (I have to say, Lion has been more annoying than beneficial to this point!)

    Here are 2 screenshots of the issue (before and after a zoom)  see how the add in the first one that shows 25% off in the first picture zoomed too large after the zoom to see the whole thing?

    JimHess~  Many thanks.  In my short history with LR, it's amazing how many people I've seen ask this question.  I'm nearly embarrassed at how simple the fix was, but grateful that you didn't dismiss such a basic question.  You made my week.  And my friend's photo album...

  • My iPhone 4 has had a cover on it since the day I first had . But the back of the phone now has lots of little marks all over it . They don't feel like scratches since I can't feel them with finger or fingernail. They won't shift with alcohol or anything

    My iPhone 4 has had a cover on it since the day I first had it . But the back of the phone now has lots of little marks all over it . They don't feel like scratches since I can't feel them with finger or fingernail. They won't shift with alcohol or anything. I am guessing they have been caused by dirt between the cover and the rear of the phone; but that is despite me cleaning the back and the inside of the back cover regularly. Has anyone else had the same?

    You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.
