I cann't  download itunes on my computer using windows 8

I have tried several times to download Itunes to a new computer with windows 8 and I can not get it to work.  I did get it to download on once and it worked for one day then stopped running.   I have done all of the following..
uninstalled and reinstalled x 3
turned off virus protection when downloading
checked to make sure it is the right version of Itunes
bought a malwear program (was recommended in something I read
tried to download in safe mode
Any ideas??

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Can CS5 be downloaded to a new computer using Windows 8.1?

I have a new computer which uses Windows 8.1, and I am trying to download CS5. According to the system requirements, Windows 7 is needed. Can this be circumvented or is there an adaption of some sort to get it done?

Yes, it should run fine on Windows 8.1. Install from your disc or you can find the installers here: Download CS5 products. Either way, have your serial number ready.

  • I downloaded itunes to my computer, but when i try to add my music to my iphone it says cannot connect to the iphone store

I downloaded iTunes on my computer with windows 7. when I try to add my music to my iphone it says cannot connect to the iphone store

    Is this a new computer?
Have you transferred your library to it?
Have you authorised the computer to your Apple ID?
Are there app or media items on the device that aren't on your computer?
I suspect if there is any protected content involved anywhere in the mix, apps for example, that iTunes will want to "phone home" to check.
If you haven't transferred your library see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • TS3212 We can't download iTunes for our computers! (Windows 7 64-bit)

Hi, I'd welcome some helpful advice for downloading iTunes for a computer with Windows 7 64 bit operating system. I have older computers with Windows Vista 32 bit systems and have no trouble either downloading or installing iTunes to them. However with two computers using Windows 7 64 bit systems I click on download iTunes then a screen comes up and tells me thanks for downloading iTunes, eventhough nothing has downloaded! No dialogue boxes come up and I don't have pop up blockers enabled on my browser (Internet Explorer} or on my antivirus! So I can't even download the blasted thing let alone install it! thank you for your consideration.

Thanks for the advice, however I had already tried using Firefox originally and then Internet Explorer but the result was still the same.

  • IPod Touch 4th Generation, can you use without downloading iTunes to your computer

My son got an iPod Touch for Christmas.  When charged and turned on, it only shows a picture of a cord and the iTunes logo.  We've been trying to download iTunes to my computer (asked question over at iTunes forum as keep receiving 'iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid 32bit application' error and will not download, dial up, Toast, IE9) and can not get it done.  I have been told there is no disc that can be sent to me to start iTunes on my computer.  We've taken the iPod to a local WiFi spot but the screen will not change.  (And could not download at the local WiFi spot iTunes to my computer either.)
Is there anyway to start this iPod Touch without having iTunes downloaded to your computer?  This was not mentioned anywhere when I bought the iPod for Christmas and we are very upset that he has been unable to even use his present.  No one in my community knows how to fix this, no one has WiFi and the local WiFi spot, I have already sat there for 6 hours trying to get this done and keep getting this error.
We are very disgusted with the whole business and have gone out and bought him something of his choosing and are about ready to nix the whole business with iPods, iPads and anything 'i' related between myself, my family, and my whole community because we feel its wrong to have something that can't be used unless you have faster than dial up service.  What's the point of getting anything from Apple if you can't use it do to the area you live in not having reception or satelite service?  It still boggles my mind that they can't send me a disc to correct this.
Can someone give me some suggestions on how to get his iPod working since we can't get iTunes downloaded to anyone's computer out where I live?

If you're getting the "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid 32bit application" error, it likely means that you may have tried to download the 64bit iTunes Setup exe (application).  You mentioned you couldn't download because you have dialup, However, even with dialup you should be able to download iTunes.  You can go to the following apple site and scroll down and click on the Windows 32 bit version of iTunes.  On dialup it will take a while to download, but it can be done.  See if this helps.

  • Having trouble downloading itunes on my computer. i keep getting a error message that reads: apple sync notifier.exe- entry point not found.

Hello, can anyone help me out there? Im having trouble downloading itunes on my computer.
Ikeep getting a error message reading:
#1  applesyncnotifer.exe- entry point not found.
#2  the procedure entry point sqlite3-wal-checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library. sqlite3.d11.
#3  service 'apple mobile device' (apple mobile device)
failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck
