I Cannot access Google Docs

For the last week I am unable to access Google Docs form my iPhone.  The landing page for Google docs loads but when I click on a doc it starts to load and then returns to the landing page.

thanks for your time!
Had to reset &restore but was able to connect at work today - yippee! hoping for same success at home, and around town.

  • Since 31.0 update I cannot access Google or Facebook. I'm on a MAC and do not have firewalls or virus protection software

    I'm on a MAC OS X version 10.9.4
    Firefox browser version 31.0
I have no Firewall set up
I have no security software or virus protection software
Since my browser automatically updated to Firefox version 31.0 I cannot access:
    google. com or facebook.com
Also, when I type in a url into the address bar and then hit the <return> button the url I type (ex: google.com or facebook.com) disappears and the previous url in the address window pops up.
    Please help.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:
*'''Windows/Mac''': Go to Help > Restart with add-ons disabled
*'''Linux''': Run ''firefox -safe-mode'' in the Terminal/Konsole
If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

Hello, My wife is running Tiger osx 10.4.11, and has a 12" g4 Powerbook with 1.5 ghz power pc.
About 3 months ago she was not able to edit Google Docs anymore. Even if she is made the owner
of the doc she cannot do anything.
She can view them and download them but editing does not work. Nor can she create a doc.
She has tried in Safari, and in Firefox. She is able to download Chrome either...
Any help would be really appreciated!

  • Huge technical problem, can't access google docs to save or edit.

I'm sure this is just a bug or me just missing the button, as I know apple wouldn't leave out the access to the largest cloud service in the world.
Please help as our practice is stuck not being able to work with our files.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Namaste,
    Jason Morton

It seems that Google Docs will not work properly on the iPad because it thinks you are using Mobile Safari. You can view but not edit.

  • Firefox can get onto yahoo however whenever I use the search function is says link is broken. Equally cannot access google either. Thanks

    The connection has timed out
The server at uk.search.yahoo.com is taking too long to respond.
Firstly I have had to changed my home page because google will not load. Then I can get access into yahoo itself, mail etc but cannot get any of the search engines to function. All other websites ok apart from when trying to do searches!
The yahoo search shows the following message or it indicates that the connection has broken. Tested internet connection and all ok!
    Any advice appreciated.
    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

  • Cannot access google

Help. Just installed Voyager 2110. Can access most websites but not my google mail or google maps. is there something I am missing or have failed to do?

Try changing the DNS servers to Google`s public DNS of  8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. You can do this on the Voyager modems.
BT do seem to be having random DNS problems at the monent.

  • With FireFox 3.6.12 (ubuntu) Google Docs does not allow me to log in.

Using FireFox 3.6.12 (ubuntu) I can not successfully access Google Docs. All my other Google accounts seem to work under FireFox, just not Google Docs. Google Docs currently works on other platforms like Chrome so this seems to be FireFox specific.

Be careful with setting the user agent to IE because that can make website send content (JavaScript and CSS) files that only work in IE and not in Firefox.<br />
Google Docs should work in Firefox with the normal settings, unless Ubuntu made some changes with their branded version that is causing problems on that site.

  • I can't access Google.

I know lot's of people have asked about this, but they've all had different resolutions. I have tried doing the things they did to no avail.
If I try to access google or any of google's pages it eventually times out. If I visit a website that has google ads in it, the site hangs. I cannot access google with safari or firefox. I am using a Macbook Pro and if I reboot into Windows via bootcamp. I can access google just fine. Same cable box, same router, same computer even. It is only when I am using the Mac OS that I have the problem.
It is ridiculous to reboot into windows everytime I run across a site that loads google ads before the rest of its content.

I still cannot access google. I use windows exclusively now.
Every now and again, I reboot my machine back into the mac OS and sigh.
    I can access google if:
my computer is booted into Windows.
I can access google when my machine is booted into the mac OS if:
I am tethered to my router or cable modem by an ethernet cable.
based on this observation I figure that something about the mac OS's handling of airport is making me unable to access google.

  • Since the last update to Firefox 33 I can't access google or e-mail

I am out of options and do not know what else to do, I have tried every trick I could find on this and many other boards and still have the same issue.
I cannot access Google or my web mail or the "add on" menu to name a few since the latest update (Firefox 33) hit my computer three days ago. I cannot down load programs some times but other time it lets me??? My IE works fine. If I switch the search engine in Firefox to say Bing over Google everything seems to work except access to my web mail still blocked.
I have uninstalled my MacAfee and Firefox and reinstalled first just Firefox and had the same issue. Can anyone give me a clue on just what the heck happened and how to fix.

Is there anything unusual about your connection settings? You can check here:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default of "Use system proxy settings" should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" settings, but you also can try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.
I want to explore the potential secure site issue in more depth. If you open Google in IE and click the padlock icon in the address bar, then View Certificate, what information do you find in the Issuer/Issued by section?
A couple other general things you might not have tried, which address possible corruption in settings files (your profile folder), and possible problems in your Firefox program folder.
    '''Create a new Firefox profile'''
A new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also will have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > Run (hold Windows key an press R):
    firefox.exe -P
    ''Don't delete anything here.''
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Go ahead and click the Create Profile button, give it a name like Nov8, and skip the option to change the folder location. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
''Until you go back to the Profile Manager and start up in your regular profile, your desktop shortcut should fire up the new profile.''
    Can you get to Google?
Note: When returning to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button on your new test profile. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation. If you do want to clean up later, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles first in case something were to go wrong.
You can replace Firefox's program files without disturbing your settings using this '''Clean Reinstall''' procedure:
    (1) Download a fresh installer for Firefox 33 from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ to a convenient location. (Scroll down to your preferred language.)
    (2) If applicable, exit out of Firefox or make sure it is fully terminated in Task Manager.
    (3) Rename the folder ''(64-bit Windows folder names)''
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
    (4) Run the installer you downloaded in #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
    Does it run?
Note: Some recently installed plugins may exist only in that OldFirefox folder. If something essential is missing, look in these folders:
    * C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox\Plugins
    * C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox\browser\plugins

  • Help! Cannot Load Google on any server

I have a Mac OS X, version 10.3.9 and suddenly couldn't load gmail or regular Google sites on Safari. I downloaded Firefox and it worked for one day. Now I cannot access Google on Safari either. I discovered the same is true for Internet Explorer. I've tried the cable hookup and phone hookup. All other websites will load, just never any google sites. I noticed three other folks on other forums had this similar problem. Is this a bug against google?? Any insights would be helpful.

Possible solution. We have Norton Antivirus installed, with recent updates. It seems that some of the updates may have disabled our ability to access google. It makes no sense in that we can still access all other websites. At the moment, with lowering the security protection on Norton, I can access gmail and google. Any other insights would still be appreciated.
