I cannot access iCloud from my mac

Hello,
When I try to access iCloud or apple store from my Air the password of my mac account is not recognised, but this happens just with this specific computer, not with the MacBook pro or with my office Pro.  It seems that mobilme account is not recognising the computer.  I can access and buy form the iTunes store, though. Any idea? I contacted Apple support but no luck
Thanks

That doesn't really answer my question so I will try again
Did you move your account from MM to iCloud, if yes, did you change (if needed) your MM password to meet iCloud requirements, and did you change it on all of your devices, are the OSX machines all on 10.7.2 and all the IOS devices on IOS 5?
Do you have more than one Apple ID?

  • I changed my apple id ages ago but i cannot access icloud from my

I changed my apple id ages ago bit i cannot access my icloud from my iphone as its asking for my old pasword, which i cant remember. I know i have to delete to asccount but i cant turn off 'find my iphone' with our my old passsword. how can i find out my old password please?

    Hello laurascfc
If you changed the Apple ID and did not create a new one, then you will need to change it back to the old Apple ID. Once you change it, then you can sign out of Find My iPhone. After that is done, then change it back.
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5223
    Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.
If you created a new iCloud account and the old account still exists, check out the article below for steps on how to reset that password.

    Hello suzifromfl,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564
    Starting up in Safe Mode
To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), follow these steps.
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key.
The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
After the logo appears, you should see a progress bar during startup. This indicates that your computer is performing a directory check as part of Safe Mode.
To leave Safe Mode, restart your computer without holding any keys during startup.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

  • I cannot access Firefox from my Mac desktop.

I use Firefox all the time on my MacBook. Today, after using it all day, I exited the computer. Then when I tried to access Firefox again, nothing happened. The icon in the desktop usually jumps up and down but this is not happening. If I go to Finder and click on the last entry under Firefox, the computer grinds away and then I have told that the computer cannot access this application (1712).

Try downloading Firefox from [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com] and installing it over your existing Firefox.

  • Cannot access iCloud from new Iphone 4S

I am trying to set up a new IPhone 4S via iCloud Backup from 7 days ago.
I get already stuck at signing in to ICloud, the server does not respond, times out etc. Tested several wireless connections. Very annoying, that it won't take a cellular network, instead.
From my laptop I obviously can login to iCloud, fine.
    Please help.

I just downlow the latest features on my Iphone 4 and i'm trying to retrieve all my contacts, apps, and picturing can you please help me?

  • Cannot access iCloud from Suddenlink

I have two computers, one running 10.7.4, the other running 10.8.1. Each has its own iCloud account.
Each iCloud account also has an iPhone associated with it.
Everything is connected to my local network (LAN+WiFi), and has internet connectivity.
The local network is controlled by a Netgear WNR2000v2 SOHO router, nothing out of the ordinary, hooked to a Suddenlink cable modem/phone device. Phone is working fine, internet is working fine.
On either computer, if I try to login at icloud.com with either account, I get an error, "iCloud has unexpectedly stopped," with button options to "Reload" or "Send to Apple." Either button results in the spinner, with the error popping up again.
Syncing contacts or calendars works from the computer running 10.7.4, but not from the one running 10.8.1.
On either computer, if I connect to a VPN server (using PPTP or OpenVPN), I can successfully login to icloud.com, and all the syncing works on the 10.8.1 computer.
    What the heck?

If you are trying to view the content you have stored in your iCloud Account from your iPhone and use it like a file explorer you can't really do that.
But if you are trying to activate your iCloud account from your iPhone in Settings we will need more details.

  • IPad Numbers 2.0.1 runs fine but now cannot open iCloud docs on Mac, Numbers version 2.3

Numbers document created on Mac, saved in iCloud. I can open the doc on the iPad but on the Mac, it tells me I need to purchase a new version of Numbers. Why? I need to access this doc on the Mac...now!

You cannot access iCloud on a Mac running Mac OSX 10.4.  Are you sure, the system version is correct?
If you are running iWork '09 (iWork 09 9.0.1) on your Mac with Numbers 2.3, you must at least have MacOS X 10.5.6 installed.
if you want iCloud support for iOS apps, you need the iWork 9.3 update, see:  About the iWork 9.3 Update
And this update requires OS X Lion v10.7.4
Is your iMac compatible with Lion or later?

Upgrading to Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
You can purchase Snow Leopard by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will receive physical media - DVD - by mail.
Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:
    Snow Leopard from Amazon.com
    Snow Leopard from eBay
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
      1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
      2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
      3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)

      5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
      6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
      7. Xserve (Early 2009)
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps - App compatibility and feature support for OS X & iOS.
Am I eligible for the free upgrade?
See Apple - Free OS X Mountain Lion upgrade Program.

  • I cannot access itunes from any of my apple product, imac, iphone, mac book, ipad, or apple TV

I cannot access iTunes from any device. It's telling me that itunes is temporally unavailable. It's not my connection, app, software, or device. I'm prett savvy with IT and it has to be on the other end. All of my devices didn't bite the dust at the same time. If they did S%&T!!

You are right- they got to let us know that status or something. Here I am already to sit down and relax with a nice episode of Dexter and cannot access anything. it was fine this morning and now its annoying.

  • I receive an error stating user name and password are not valid on my ipad and iphone 3Gs when attempting to load email from my icloud account. When I log onto icloud from my Mac, it wont load the email either.

One day, my ipad and iphone pick up my emails (.mac account) from icloud just fine. the next day, I recieved error messages that say my user name and password are not accurate. I removed the icloud program on both devices and added it back on to both devices and get the same message. I logged into icloud from my Mac and while I can log in, it times out when I select email and wont load the email there either. Any Suggestons?

I am having the same problem; it started about 24-36 hours ago.
I know my ID/PW combo are correct because I can access all other aspects of iCloud except mail.
iPhone -- returns incorrect ID / Password
    iPad -- Same
Mail.app on Mac -- returns incorrect password error
icloud.com -- allows me to log in and use all functions accept mail.  When I try to use mail it stays on a white screen for about 60 seconds then returns a dialogue box that indicates a server error.
I contacted Apple and they placed my iCloud account into something called "Troubleshooting" mode.  They generated a new strong password and sent it on to "Engineering."
I suspect there are a small number ofo users like you who are affected with the same problem I am.  Too small a number for it to be reported as an outtage.  I suggest you call Apple and open a case to have your mail investigaged.
    Hope this helps...

I can sign on at icloud.com so i know the user id is valid.

    Hello fgrprez
If you are unable to find the iCloud section in settings, navigate to Settings > iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts ,Calendars. If you choose the option to view it within Mai, Contacts, Calendars section and you do not see an iCloud account, then add it with the Add Account button.
