I cannot access IPAD ACCOUNT ON ipad

When I go to settings-cellular data- knew account NOTHING HAPPENS.
IT SPINS AND SPINS AND THEN TELLS ME IT CAN't find the server.
When I try to access ipadlanding on safari or Chrome on iPad or PHONE Nothing happens.
I can access all other web sites fast and smoothly.
And had to renew data plan by calling ATT.
What is going on??
Is there an outage?

I have had this same issue, ever since Thursday evening, July 2 !
I have continually searched the Internet for possibly others experiencing the same problem, and came up empty handed. ...that is, until this post yesterday. Guess everyone was too busy with the holiday. Thought it was only my iPad, that had the problem, or that I was going crazy...

This is really unacceptable. I received the standard "generated email" Thursday evening, saying that I was getting low on data.... Then for days, I tried to renew my plan and could not. I finally figured out how to do it through the AT&T site, on a desktop computer (the link is att.com/ipadlanding). At least the renewal will work that way--but people should not have to go to all this trouble, to say the least.
Please get this fixed soon.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. If you are just seeing the Terms and Conditions link in the Downloads tab then that just means that there aren't any downloads waiting. If you want to browser the store then can are you not able to tap on the other tabs at the bottom of the app ?
If you are looking for your downloaded and synced content then they won't be in the iTunes app (that is just the store) - your music, audiobooks and audio podcasts will be in the Music app and your films and tv shows in the Videos app.

Try a Restart.

I do not understand why that is the case. The iPad has been touted as a stand alone device. However, for these instances it is still tethered to a computer. If I only had an iPad/iPhone and I want to share a calendar with my wife to her iPad/iPhone, I would still have to have a PC to access iCloud.com in order to share the calendar between multiple users. There is no way to set up the share on the mobile devices. That does not make sense to me.

Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers.

I then proceeded to the forgotten password link, entered my email and was told to enter the email associated to my account, which is the one I entered and kept getting the same thing. So I tried to sign-up and was told the email I'm using was already associated to an account. I know what my password is, it's the same with all my online accounts. I am unable to reset my password and am quite frustrated..

Seems like ios6 isn't any good for any of their devices. I have an iPhone 4 and recently updated to ios6 and have had all the wifi problems and apps getting hung up on load screens. Restore is your best bet and downgrade if you can back to ios 5.1. If restore doesn't help with a fresh install of ios6 then call every Apple support number you can find and be heard like the 1,000s of other people like us with ios6 problems demanding support. There doesn't seem to be any quick fixes for ios6 other than an update from Apple.

Thankyou for suggestion. My PC was working ok ( accessing emails/internet) which puzzled me. It's usually the PC that drives me nuts and the iPad that is great.I discovered my TV was having difficulty with a connection to broadband. I turned off the main Wifi router and switched it on again and all seems to be well. My IPad was suggesting, however, that all was well with the Wifi connection. It had a tick against it in Settings. Very strange!

Google alerted me that somebody from Columbia tried to access my account. I followed instructions on tighter security. Same day I received email that was also sent to all my contacts on iPhone. And then last night while playing Phase Friends somebody started a game that I don't invite. I have setting set for no random players. This is scary. Is somebody hacking my ipad?

Did you change the password in your gmail account I assume and now that's iPad will not accept it in the mail app? If that is what you did - try this. I'm not sure if this will work the same in way in gmail as it does in other accounts.
Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
Make sure that your username and password are correct in the account settings as well. Settings>Mail, contacts and calendars>gmail>Account>tap the blue arrow next to your email address and check the settings in the next window.
