You could try using the wifi only when you need it. This could cut down the number of times you will have to press OK. It won't fix it but it could help.

  • I cannot access itunes from any of my apple product, imac, iphone, mac book, ipad, or apple TV

I cannot access iTunes from any device. It's telling me that itunes is temporally unavailable. It's not my connection, app, software, or device. I'm prett savvy with IT and it has to be on the other end. All of my devices didn't bite the dust at the same time. If they did S%&T!!

You are right- they got to let us know that status or something. Here I am already to sit down and relax with a nice episode of Dexter and cannot access anything. it was fine this morning and now its annoying.

  • TS3297 Cannot access iTunes from Music App 4S

I cannot access the "store" from my music app on my 4S. From any of the screens a can push the button that says "store", the button does change shade to indicate it is being pushed, but nothing happens. No error message, nothing. I've updated the iOS, I've restarted the app. I've restarted the phone. 3G on, Wifi on, My apple ID works. I can use home sharing and write on this forum. I just cant access the store. I just moved to India, but I have bought music from iTunes on my iMac and MacBook pro. No problem. Thanks for your answers.

Is iTunes endlessly saying "Accessing iTunes Store"? Or is something a bit different going on?

  • Cannot Access iTunes From Computer

My iTunes Store works fine with my iPod, but when I try to access it through my computer, the top status bar just sits there saying, "Accessing iTunes store." It has lines going across the loading bar. It won't do anything. I tried putting in my Apple ID and passcode, then the log in window goes off. It does the same thing. Then, eventualy, the top status bar goes back to the Apple logo, leaving me with a blank page saying nothing but iTunes Store in the middle. I have tried opening it in a new window, same thing. I believe once, a while back, it said it could not access it because of no internet connection. I know that my computer had connection though. I just realized I was still in the iPod community. Sorry about that, but I tried with iTunes community and I got no response. Maybe someone would know on here! Thanks!

Then wait for the page to load if it returns with a white screen, there must be a problem with your internet connection.

  • HT1926 I am having trouble installing the latest version of iTunes, 11.1.4 -- as a consequence i cannot access iTunes at all on my PC. I keep getting an error message and that I am missing file MSVCR80.dll .

I need help and am not able to find what i need to do. I have manually downloaded iTunes but it doesn't resolve the issue and I still can't access iTunes.

    Superb detail, thank you.
    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Cannot access itunes in appleTV or iPhone or iPad via home network

iPhone and iPad access to iTunes is possible from 3G network no problem but not via network.  AppleTV problem more critical though

even on Windows it asks me to sign in 10 times, I've really had enough.

  • Cannot access itunes from ipod to update apps

Have iPod 4g, starting with this morning had two updates to apps on iPod.  I try to update, put in password, tells me 'cannot connect to iTunes.' I can get on the store with iPod to view all apps, but won't accept password.  Haven't changed password, did a sync yesterday, all went fine.  So what happened, anyone know?

For the App store you ned iOS 2 or later.  You can purchase the last update for the 1G here:
Purchasing iOS 3.1 Software Update for iPod touch (1st generation)
Just be aware that there are not that many apps not that will work with the 1G with iOS3.1.3.

  • Cannot access itunes from computer, win7 64 bit

I was able to connect to iTunes a while ago and also when my iPhone was connected to my laptop. For some reason I can't access it now.  I've removed my antivirus and reinstalled it, but it tries to load, but doesn't load.  Trying to turn on my sharing for Apple TV.

it tries to load, but doesn't load.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Cannot access itunes from my iphone, password ok on itunes on laptop but says im locked out on my phone

I'm trying to update apps iin my iphone but I keep getting the message that my account is disabled.  When I log into itunes it lets me get in so don't understand what is going on.  I've changed my password and my phone has still locked me out.  Please help.

Try singning out, then back in.  Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in.  If your account is still disabled you will probably need to contact iTunes store support:
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

  • Cannot Access iTunes from New Computer Even Though It Is "Authorized"

I recently got a new MacBook Pro and signed in with my iTunes account info, authorized my computer, followed all instructions, but my music library does not show up. Still works fine on my two other authorized computers. Am probably missing something obvious? Any help would be much appreciated!

How did you move/copy the library to the new computer? You might try launching iTunes with the Option key down, then navigate to the location of the library when prompted.

  • Put movies in itunes on one computer why does it not show up when i access itunes from other computers or ipad2?

put movies in itunes on one computer why does it not show up when i access itunes from other computers or ipad2?

i just purchased a file that had videos in it. i put them in the itunes library on my pc where i first downloaded them. i was able to transfer them to my other pc, a laptop, through my home network. i am now trying to get them on my mac pro desktop and my ipad2. my mac pro can see the other computers on my home network but i cannot get it to connect to them. i know the operating systems are different but was hoping i could transfer pictures and files from pc to mac this way. haven't been able to get it to work yet. the videos i am trying to get my mac to see came in a folder with both mac and pc versions. i thought if i got the videos i purchased into itunes that i would then be able to get them to my mac pro and my ipad2. i am new to mac/apple and have always been pc-centric so trying to marry it all has been difficult. i speak pc pretty well but am just learning apple. am i trying to do things that are not possible? i sure could use a knowledgable friendly soul to walk me through my issues of having pc and mac on the same network. i have been able to get all computers and ipad to print on my network. thanks.

  • I cannot access iTunes on my desktop.  Works fine on my laptop.  Message says "The iTunes Library .itl is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission."  The disk is not locked.

I cannot access iTunes from my deskyop.  Worked great until a couple of days ago, then I now get the message that "The iTunes Library .itl is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file."  I have not turned on any parental controls on the desktop.  I have reloaded iTunes several times.  No luck.  I've run virus scans several times.  No luck.  I've restarted & tuned off the computer several times.  No luck.  I've uninstalled iTunes then reinstalled several times.  No luck.  Any thoughts?

To solve this issue all I did was check to ensure that the file permissions were set as described by the earlier posts, followed by simply deleting the iTunes Library Genius.itdb file.  Once the file was deleted I was able to open iTunes without difficulty.  Note that I am running Windows 8.  Hope this helps!

  • Another "Cannot access iTunes store" post

I have an iMac and each of my kids have a Macbook. I can access the iTunes store just fine on my iMac, and on the Macbooks when I'm in my admin account. But it hangs when trying to access from either of my kids' user accounts on the Macbooks. I've ruled out parental controls being the problem since there is nothing set that would affect it and I've tried unsuccessfully to access with the parental controls disabled. I've also tried repairing permissions. Still no go. Has anyone come across any fixes for this?

I have written of a similar problem -- I cannot access iTunes from my MacBook unless I'm at my home ISP, Wildblue, which is satellite to a wireless router. When I take my MacBook to any hotspot in town or in my town-office, it won't access iTunes, though other computers in those areas do.
I found out that if I hook an ethernet DSL cable into my MacBook, and not use Airport, I suddenly CAN access iTunes -- it's the only way I can access iTunes when I'm not at home... really strange. So, you might try plugging into a wire and see if that helps.
