It asks for my password when I put it in doesn't accept it
How do I find what my password is

This has to be resolved by your mail service provider. Call them and have them tell you how to create a new password and save it.

    If you use iCloud as well, you can try adding it back to your accounts as well.  I have 7 email accounts (including iCloud and a Yahoo account) in mail on my iPhone and iPad and have no problems with them.  I suspect it was not removing iCloud that fixed your problem, it was the re-entering the Yahoo account login credentials (maybe they just got corrupted - could be as simple as that).
    If you do add iCloud back, and it causes problems right away with your Yahoo, then you should send a ticket in to the iCloud support folks as that would seem to be something not working correctly?

    Also if you actually deleted the iCloud account, remember you can keep the account, and just disable it for mail in the iCloud settings (so you can keep using iCloud for other features even if you do not want to use iCloud mail).

    Try go to https//appleid.apple.com from your computer, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    No, it will not affect anything but Safari. I do this regularly anyway (in my case with Firefox because I prefer it over Safari). The cache remembers websites you've visited and, when internet connections were slow, then that was handy because the browser would reload the page from memory instead of reloading it fresh. With faster internet connections today, it is no longer of the same importance - it does speed up things a bit initially, but I haven't noticed any difference. Cookies are set by every site you visit - the only ones you might want to keep are cookies from your bank, financial institution, etc so they remember your machine when you log in. Other than that, they are a marketing tool and completely superfluous. And history is again something the computer remembers that you've visited a site before.

    No, I'm using classic. When I sign in it show that I have 2 accounts on the left side. It always works with my original account, but when I try to access the other account that I added with my website that I have with yahoo it does nothing. I never had to sign out and sign into the other account before, I would just click from one account to the next. I also get an error message all the time that says that I have been signed out of chat because I signed in on another system, but I am not? I do wish to continue using yahoo mail. I just hope to get this resolved so I can use my mac which I love. Thanks.

    Hello, I've got new Mac hw/sw, first time in many years after longtime Windows usage. Safari 2.0.1 -- I can't access my CompuServe email account from Safari, when I enter my ID and PW on this page:

    the URL flashes back and forth a few times and then finally returns with the message:
    "The service you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable - please try your request again.."
    In the meantime, I can go to my Windows pc and access the email with no problems.
    Does Safari not work with CompuServe email on the internet?

    Anyway, Safari is one of the strictist browsers when it comes to rendering pages and scripts. I would first try another Mac browser, such as Firefox, to see if it is Safari that is the problem or if it is because there might be some Windows-specific coding involved. Let us know what happens.

    Recently, after entering my Name/Password for my Comcast.net email account, Error Msg 403 pops up suggesting wait and try again, and to keep it our little secret ???.
    This is not a msg from Comcast, I've just talked to them. I am using verson 3.6.25 on a pre-Intel iMac desktop.
    Email can be accessed through Safari with no problem.

    Did you purchase or download the apps with your old ID?  Apps are tied to the ID that is was purchased from.
    If it is a new app you bought with your new ID, you can go into settings - appstore- apple id and then log out.

    if the primary emailaddress is your current emailaddress, just go to iforgot.apple.com , enter your Apple ID and have a mail sent to you.
    You can also try using the security questions if you can answer them correctly or call AppleCare for assistance.

    How did you contact Support ? If you don't have access to your rescue email account then Support in your country should be able to reset the questions for you - contact is normally by phone as they need to confirm your id and that it's your account.
    Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - is that how you contacted them ?

    When they've been reset you can then update your rescue email address to an account that you have access to for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses

    No. Everything was working fine and then it wasn't. I hadn't changed any settings or switched either one off. When the phone stopped working properly I ignored it because I always have my ipad with me but that just sopped working properly and now I am stuffed. I have tried most solutions suggested on here even wiping the ipad clean and re-booting. I did this exactly the same way as when I first got it but still no joy. The same with the phone.

    I have an email account at a university where I am teaching. My email address there is [email protected] . With the previous version of Firefox I was able to access my email account. After I installed Firefox 4, I no longer have access to this account. Instead I get a message telling me to reload from my browser, but I cannot see how to do this. I need to have access to this email account from my desktop computer, and so I was thinking of uninstalling Firefox 4. Also, on another website that I use as my home page, which is www.marketamerica.com/signewaller , I had it set up to automatically remember my username and password when going to my "back office" from that site, but now after installing Firefox 4 I have to retype my username and password.

    I deleted the account on my ASUS email at settings. The ASUS appeared to delete the Yahoo email account, but when I clicked on the shortcut, my yahoo email had updated and everything looks good.

    When resetting your password, did you turn on two-step authentication? If you did, the Mail App isn't compatible with it - either, you need to create an application password and use that to log in using the iPhone Mail App, (instead of your Microsoft Account password) or disable two-step authentication to make it work.

    You are referring to your iTunes/app store account? You will need to sign out of your old account on your iPhone and sign in with the new one.
